Just an accurate retelling of all L and Light's moments in Deathnote exactly as they happened and absolutely nothing else.

“And what if I told you I would keep it a secret?” L asked, a hot whisper traveling down his ear canal.
L and Light come back inside after getting drenched but Light needs a distraction as L is hot on his track. This distraction is just what he needs to come out successful (maybe the other come out too).

“Give me my fucking money back you little pieces of shit!”, Light yelled at Matt.
“Or what? What are you gonna do, huh?”, Matt smirked.
“Well, I’ll-“
Matt cut Light off. “What’s wrong? Can’t call the police?”
“You can’t just assume-“
Matt continued to not let Light speak. “Oh, I’m not assuming. I know you can’t call the police. It’s why Mello and I made you our target after all.”
Matt paused, and then he continued. “We know you’re wanted by the police for tax fraud.”
(So this is basically Death Note but it’s a terrible soap opera)

Catching Higuchi as the kira should’ve been the turning point.
L disagrees.
He’s still suspicious of Light, but also suspicious of himself now. What if his personal unwillingness to admit that his claims were indeed wrong - is the main reason for still suspecting Light? To test that theory, and his two successors while he’s at it, he moved Light, Mello and Near in with him. And let’s just say… it turned out more interesting than anticipated.

"I hope you fail,” L says, eyes so matte perhaps the glint in them was always an illusion; a fleeting reflection of the humanity around him and not within him. “I hope hell is not kind to you.”

Summary
Light isn’t Kira. Probably. He’s pretty sure he’d remember that - no, he’s definitely innocent. But it’d be nice to be able to say so with some conviction, or retain any kind of certainty, if he could just think of anything beyond the infuriating fucking cackling in his head.

Summary
After enduring an what felt like an eternity of punishment in Mu, reliving every death he caused as Kira, Light Yagami is given an unexpected second chance. The Shinigami King sends him back to his life just before the Death Note came into his possession, with the vague promise of redemption. Haunted by the crushing guilt of his past and the endless memories of his victims, Light must navigate his new reality while keeping the truth of his former life a secret.
However, a new Kira has emerged, plunging the world back into a reign of terror. Light is pulled, against his will, into the heart of the investigation once again. This time, he is not the mastermind behind the killings but the prime suspect, and the task force - most importantly, L - once again turns its gaze toward him.
Torn between proving his innocence, stopping the new Kira, and keeping his fractured sanity intact, Light must confront the ghosts of his past while treading the dangerous line between justice and madness. Will this second chance be Light’s path to redemption, or does fate actually wish to watch him crash and burn a second time?

Summary
"The case had only fallen deeper into the ditch, for the team were now aware of a second Kira. Light would no longer be the sole suspect, his girlfriend, Misa Amane had managed to worm her way onto L's list as well. He watched them both sharply, always calculating two steps ahead, anticipating whatever the pair might be scheming. A new pattern in deaths emerged since the appearance of the second Kira; family-related and domestic violence cases. It fascinated him and piqued his interest, of course, as this killer worked with clear motive— a personal and calculated one."
Misa doesn't allow herself to follow Light's every command anymore, she'll play how she wants. After all, she owns a Death Note too. L notices. Light's control over her is slipping rapidly each ticking day.

Summary
The day you found your notebook was the day you stopped believing in god in the traditional sense. How could you keep believing? What kind of kind and benevolent god would allow such a book to exist? No god.
The day you found out about the Death Note, everything clicked. People created God the same way they created the government— to serve them. A moral guide. You could be a moral guide.
OR
Reader develops an autotheistic god complex, and then figures out they’re not the only one, getting roped into the worlds most important investigation because of a stupid highschool boy.

Summary
This started with a simple question: what if Light Yagami had the Shinigami Eyes, but instead of seeing lifespans normally, he saw people around him sharing the same death dates. From there it became less about the ability itself, and more about what he would do with information like that, and how he ends up in a position where he’s working alongside L instead of against him.
At its core, this is a character study of a lonely, highly intelligent teenager. Not a redemption arc, not a corruption arc either, just an examination of what happens when someone like that gains too much clarity and not enough distance from the world around him.

Summary
Yang Yun Li had been able to see ghosts for as long as she could remember.
An unfortunate clairvoyant, she’s been avoiding acknowledging ghosts’ presences like the plague, trying to live as normally as she possibly could. But when thousands of inmates mysteriously start dropping dead around the globe and a god of death just so happens to be tailing her childhood best friend around the same time, she starts to suspect a connection tying the incidents….
Now Yun is caught in a cat-and-mouse game, forced to make radical decisions that could shape the world's (and by extension her own) future, all the while unsure of whom to trust. And when a secretive detective with questionable moral practices joins the chessboard, she has to act before she herself loses the pieces.

Summary
Light is seated beside him in the helicopter.
His gaze is fixed on the black notebook in his hands. His grip is tight—too tight.
The notebook taken from Higuchi.
L reaches before the thought finishes forming. His hand snaps out and wrenches the notebook from Light’s grasp.
Light collapses. Not violently. Not suddenly. His body simply gives way, as though something essential has been pulled out of him.
