Light Yagami has played the role of the perfect student well, but it's become terribly boring. She uses a magical notebook, the death note, to try and fix the world, while an odd lady detective tries to catch her and a fledgling actor tries his best to earn her affection.
This is the updated version of Blue Moon, which I began and then abandoned in 2017...

After the events of Death Note, Light Yagami is left drifting alone in the endless sea of MU, slowly fading away. When a mysterious and godly being named Arceus appears, he’s given a second chance in a new world with the task to save it. His plans go off course after an accident wipes his memories and turns him into a Riolu. Luckily, he’s not alone, as a strange Sneasel, who seems familiar, finds him unconscious on a beach and the two join together to find who they once were and figure out why time has been thrown out of balance.

Light, an eighteen year old high schooler with undiagnosed OCD and his whole life ahead of him, doesn't know of a reality in which he doesn't suffer. He only knows all the ways this one might kill him in varyingly gruesome scenarios. He sooths the cracks in his hands with aloe vera moisturizer and the cracks in his mind with constant meaningless distractions, a host of worthless rituals. He would wear disposable gloves, but he doesn't want to look like a freak.
A bored and disturbed detective finds this interesting enough to steal Light from his life, and show him what real fear feels like.

Hắn ôm nó, một cái áo khoác, thật chặt trong lòng. Sống mũi cay cay khi hắn thử hít hà hương thơm không có thật, lần này bất giác tự tưởng tượng về mùi kẹo bơ cứng ngòn ngọt.
- Mùi kẹo bơ cứng... Có phải là thứ thằng L đó mới ăn hôm trước không? Phản xạ của não bộ đúng là phiền phức hết biết!
Cái áo khá nhỏ, hắn cố tình chọn đúng kích cỡ đó, mặc dù hắn luôn biết mình không mặc vừa nên chưa từng muốn khoác nó thử. Nhưng màu sắc ấy, chất liệu, kiểu dáng và chi tiết hình lông vũ trắng ở cuối cánh tay lại đặc biệt thu hút hắn. Khoảnh khắc đầu tiên Light trông thấy nó, quỷ vương quyết phải mua được nó ngay.
Đầu óc hắn ong ong. Chiếc áo này có một ý nghĩa lớn lao với hắn mà ngay cả bản thân cũng chưa hiểu hết. Chỉ dám chắc, nó giống hệt cái hình ảnh mờ mờ ảo ảo cuối cùng mà Yagami Light ghi nhớ được trước khi mãi ngừng thở.
Là vật quý giá nhất, là mỏ neo giữ Light khỏi suy sụp, là cái ôm xoa dịu Light rằng hắn vẫn đang tồn tại. -
