Summary
Light isn’t Kira. Probably. He’s pretty sure he’d remember that - no, he’s definitely innocent. But it’d be nice to be able to say so with some conviction, or retain any kind of certainty, if he could just think of anything beyond the infuriating fucking cackling in his head.

Summary
It started innocuously – Misa, being a habitual party-goer and social drinker, begged him to try a drink as they celebrated their victory over L.
Unlike seemingly everyone else his age, Light had never felt the urge to get drunk; the idea of losing control just wasn't desirable to him. Besides, inebriation could make him reveal critical information, and L would grasp onto any mistakes with the strength of a constrictor.
But there's no more L now, is there?

Summary
Kind of part two to God's Respite, can be read independently, so more of a companion fic? Anyway. L's POV.
Don't put cameras in someone's room if you don't want to see everything. It's a good thing L's perfectly fine with seeing everything. -

Summary
The killings have resumed. Light has lost his memories. And Aria doesn’t know whether to believe him or run.
A new Kira has emerged, and the Task Force is unravelling. Secrets hang like smoke between allies and enemies, and Aria Mordain is caught in the middle of it all- between the boy she once trusted and the detective she fears might be right.
As surveillance tightens and lies stack higher than bodies, Book Two begins: a story of doubt, obsession, and what breaks the brilliant.
Sequel to “Gods of Death Can Bleed.” Can be read with knowledge of canon, but recommended to start from Book One.

Summary
Streams of glistening light filtered into the room, spilling golden rivers onto Light's silken skin. L almost worried about touching her, feared that she would taint her sacred temple with her sinner's hands, as though any grazing touch she left with her fingertips would further doom Light's soul to eternal damnation.
Light wasn't a goddess, but L wouldn't think twice about worshipping her.
or, L knows she's going to die soon, she hopes to make her last moments worthwhile.

Summary
L didn't love Light like a muse; he loved him like a case study. Instead of looking for where to perfect him, L sought to break him further apart; instead of chiselling at his perfections, he chiselled at his sanity. L carved Light out with his bare hands—fingers etching out his soul as his very essence dripped down his fingertips, splattered on his face, stuck in his hair.
or, after L's death, Light finds a tape they filmed together while chained to each other.

Summary
“You know, they did a study recently…” L drawled in that low and slow L-like way that told Light he was going to go on about something that would implicate him as Kira again…
“Oh yeah?” Light replied since that’s what Ryuzaki wanted based on his tone, he didn’t actually care about the study and was still typing away diligently on the computer. This would probably be some dumb thing about how he’s more Kira because-
“People who can hold eye contact are more trustworthy than people who can’t.” L finished off, acting like it was nothing, his thumb to his lip, eyes on Light’s computer, waiting for him to take the bait.
“So what- You’re saying that if I look back at you when you look at me, that would make you trust me more?” Light asked incredulously, even adding a slight chuckle while he glanced over at L, the curiosity gleaming behind his deep brown eyes.
“Maybe. Are you afraid to do it?” L asked Light again, munching down a cracker while he awaited Light’s answer.

There’s a weight missing from his arm, the sound of metal clicking against itself vacant from his ears. He doesn’t miss the Light that knew nothing about being Kira. He just misses the idea of that time. The game they could have kept playing forever.

L, against all odds, was still breathing.

Summary
Putting a name to something changes everything, because now you have to live with the certainty of the fact.
Light has hanahaki disease. Light is going to die. Light is going to die because he... well.
(Had he wanted? The way his fingers itched, his skin crawled every night of their cohabitation from the impulse to both get closer and run far, far away? Was it desire from that very first night, when he’d doubled over and slammed his fists into his desk, cheeks stained red with fury, and heat roiling in his gut? And L had looked back with his hungry, twin black hole eyes, and had tried to devour him first.)
Light wasn’t sorry for killing him.
It wasn’t so much desire as it was wanting to dominate, and to tear him down, tear him apart and eat him. Obliterate his body into a billion subatomic particles and enmesh them in his own, embed them between every one of his own cells and become one.
He supposed he had succeeded, in a half way. Light was L. They were one. But it was empty, and victoryless.
