Based on a prompt from the Chaos Machine himself, this has been sitting in my files forever, picking at it now and again. It was supposed to be a one-shot, but I eked out 8.5 chapters. I think this is my wish for how the American Administration should be, but alas..........

When he didn't present at sixteen as expected, Dean was illegally recorded as an Alpha. He has known for a long time that he wasn't one, but to stay and protect his young brothers, Dean accepted the lie and hid his true nature until it couldn't be hidden anymore and his first heat came.
None of it mattered after Dean was framed and sent to prison.
An Alpha prison.
Shot full of suppressants that would give him at most a month until his true nature was revealed, Dean was thrown into a dangerous world where if even one Alpha discovered the truth, Dean's life would be forfeit.
Fate has a funny way of working though, in even the filthiest, most dangerous of places.

The creature has finally been imprisoned in a pocket dimension woven from the very fabric of our reality. The spell won't last long, and it has claimed the lives of the Men of Letters' finest sorcerers, so all that remains is to find the original confinement site and reactivate it.
We, Mick Davies and Arthur Ketch, are aboard the Pristine, one of the magically reinforced vessels of the Men of Letters' British branch, heading east from the location where we captured the creature before it could devour the continent any further. The reverse energy trail leads us to the area formerly known as Maine, now part of what our surveyors are already calling "The Great Chomp".
We hope to find the answers we need there, in the middle of the now larger Atlantic.
Until then, we can only speculate and pray for the best.
