“Negative. No mental interference. No anomalous stress. We’re… clear.”
Clear.
That word should be comforting. But down there, in the Bay of Bengal, clarity usually means something terribly wrong.
“No vertigo?” I ask. “No auditory shifts? No… presence?”
A pause.
One of the other voices comes through. Younger, quieter. “Ma’am, it’s like being inside a regular trench. Cold. Wet. That’s it.”
Another voice cuts in. Rougher, more uncertain.
“She’s not here.”
I freeze. “Repeat that?”
The diver swallows, audibly.
“She’s gone.”You’ve worked at Site-19 for seven years. Level 4 clearance. Calm under pressure. Mostly sane.
Then SCP-3000 disappears.
Y-909 stops working.
And the man who last fed it starts whispering to the walls.
Now you're being promoted to Level 5 — temporarily. Interviewing unstable SCPs, reporting anomalies, and pretending you don’t see the file that appeared on your laptop:“SCP-YOU | CLASSIFIED | UNKNOWN ENTITY | DO NOT ENGAGE”
The Foundation is losing control.

Summary
Zorath doesn't remember how long he's existed, but it's a while. Immortality is lonely, but chaos makes it all worthwhile to him. Plus, he's not entirely lonely as long as he has his cosmic babysitter.
Zore finds out that the Foundation is in his area one day, and starts a new game.
He figures he can always leave when he wants anyway, so he approaches the foundation and lets himself be captured. Sometimes the best way to pass the time is to create a new game of chaos.
Zore's never cared deeply for anyone aside from his "babysitter" though. So why is he becoming so attached to 035 and 049?

Fire rushes to his face.
"T-thank you."
"Oh, you're cute! Your husband is very lucky to have you!"
An arm snakes itself around his waist as his roommate answers in a soft, gentle voice.
"I am indeed lucky to have him."
Dear god, he might actually die in this ghost story after all.

Kaiser raised an eyebrow ‘’No.’’
‘’Me neither. Odd, isn’t it?’’ Charles threw his hands behind his head and pouted slightly ‘’I was sure this was supposed to be an elite mobile task force, so what is a nobody doing here?’’
For once in his life, Charles Chevalier asked a reasonable question. And he had a point, while Ness was included in the commission documents Kaiser was completely unable to retrieve any sort of useful information from the foundation archives.
‘’He’s here because I requested his assistance.’’ The two turned around sharply, perfectly in sync. Dr Wolff smiled at them calmly. ‘’He is not officially part of the foundation yet, but I think he would prove useful.’’
Charles’ mouth fell open ‘’So you’re saying you’re using a Euclid class SCP that is still not fully understood, during an important task force expedition, to test a newcomer to the foundation? Are you trying to get him killed?’’
Dr Wolff put a hand on his shoulder, and turned them both to face Kaiser.
‘’He’ll be fine, after all he’ll have Kaiser personally looking after him.’’

Viper was just an unlikeable character that appeared in more than a good few wikis. Sure, the stories were well written and he was capable but goddamn did he add numbers upon numbers of unnamed casualties to the list. Always using other people to get through the ghost story without being bothered.
If Kim Soleum had to guess, it was the looks that baited people in.
So why was he reading Viper x Reader again?
