She was inwardly screaming to herself something along the lines of: she’s only being nice, she’s just saying that to make you feel better so that you’ll shut up. She doesn’t actually mean it.
That wasn’t true at all.
“I know,” Ragatha said, sighing with resignation. She squinted her eyes shut, like she no longer wanted to be awake.
