Summary
Stranger Things has finally come to an end and left us with some big complicated feels about how it all went down. Both of us (Jennifer and Beth) are bona fide fans who have seen prior seasons multiple times, and we had remarkably similar reactions to the fifth season, especially the series finale. So we decided to co-write a review, discussing everything we liked about it as well as kvetching about the things we definitely didn’t like—a shared “airing of grievances.”

This is a story of Stranger Things 2 set in the background of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. 2025.
In a horror story there are only victims and monsters, and the trick is not to end up as either.
To break it, one must ascend into a hero. The hero must pay the price. The greater the victory, the higher the price.
October 2025, the aftermath of the terrorist attacks by Menendez and Cordis Die had subsided, and the new Cold War between the United States and China had come to an end.
Hawkins, a small town frozen in time since the 1980s, remained as isolated as ever. The story continues.
It had been over a year since Will Byers returned from the Upside Down, but the darkness and the cold still lingered, shadowing his every step. Mike Wheeler stayed by his radio every night, waiting for an echo far away. Dustin Henderson's life was growing more boring by the day; perhaps a pet was just what he needed. Lucas Sinclair, for his part, was more than content to finally have things back to normal.
But the threat of the Upside Down would not let them go so easily. When a mysterious Chinese exchange student fleeing Chicago takes refuge in Hawkins, the stakes are about to escalate.

Summary
Lisa Henderson didn't like Steve Harrington. Not at all.
They were best friends as kids and now they didn't talk, and Lisa was content in forgetting about his existence. That was until he started dating her best friend, Nancy Wheeler. Trying to adapt to his unwelcome return into her life, as well as trying to stay out of whatever her brother Dustin and his friends were secretly up to was no easy feat, especially when literal monsters were thrown into the mix.
Lisa Henderson didn't like Steve Harrington, but she also couldn't seem to get rid of him.
And maybe, just maybe, she didn't actually mind all that much.

The air outside was cold and icy, with gentle snowflakes falling occasionally. The harsh wind blew heavily, the sound whistling past windows and interrupting lone leaves lying on the grass. It was a miserable night, somewhat foreboding what was soon to be in store for Mike wheeler.
It had been about a month since that dreaded week in November, where Mike was forced to watch his best friend be tormented and possessed by literal monsters. The events that took place inside that haunting lab would forever plague the thirteen-year-old boy, both in his dreams and whenever he was left alone in a dark room for too long. The sounds of Will’s outraged cries, bullets whizzing by in the air and striking soldiers down, Bob’s pained screams as he was ripped open by a blood-thirsty Demogorgon. All things that would play on loop for the rest of Mike’s life.
Or: What if Mike Wheeler had a psychotic breakdown after the events of season 2 because the lab was so fucking traumatising and I refuse to believe he doesn't have SOME trauma from witnessing all that...
