He was just their team manager, not an actual athlete. Most of his work consisted of watching the guys practice, or getting photos of them for the school yearbook.
Jay Torres usually spent all of practice distracted by the other boy. He wanted to show Ben how great he really was at the sport, making sure he was paying attention when he did something that he deemed useful. They made eye contact a lot during practice. It was Ben’s job to watch and analyze everyone during practice. It wasn’t his job to stare at him back.

On Earth-828, Galactus attempts to not only destroy the planet, but to kidnap Franklin Richards. The Fantastic Four engage him, doing what they do best in order to keep Franklin, and the planet, safe. However, things don't go as planned and Galactus is on the verge of escape. Knowing what has to be done, Johnny Storm attempts to stop Galactus on his own. Only the Silver Surfer, Shalla-Bal, has other plans.
The pair manage to stop him while working together, but they fall into the same portal. Except something unforeseen occurs when their powers combine and another portal opens. The two fall through, only to find themselves on an alternate Earth. One where they find themselves within the Upside Down. Will they help or hinder Eddie, The Party and the others trying to stop Vecna? And how can they ever return home?

Only, turns out that Wayne's nephew is none other than the Freak Eddie Munson, a man who has loudly sworn Steve off as enemy number one for years now.
Thrown together and forced to get along they have no choice but to try and be nice, for Wayne's sake.

Eddie’s life didn’t change much after he returned from the upside down. People still hated him, blamed him, and he retreated to a shell of his former self. Life passed him by, blurring into the same everyday routine. Until Nina, Robin’s ‘sort-of’ cousin arrives in Hawkins.
Fleeing from her past in California, Nina’s world is turned upside down (no pun intended) as she falls head over heels for the freak of Hawkins.
Can these two lost souls find peace with each other, or will the demons of their past come back for them?

It's 1995, and the whole world has moved on from the Upside Down. Everyone except Steve, that is. He's still stuck in the past, stuck in his guilt about all the ways he failed, and most of all, he's still stuck in Hawkins.
Then he meets a sympathetic stranger and somehow finds himself waking up back in 1983. He doesn't know how he got there or even if he'll be able to stay, but he's going to do everything he can to fix his mistakes, starting with keeping Eddie Munson alive.

The wolf stays where he’s at and for a moment Eddie feels extremely stupid for trying to communicate with an animal but then the wolf stands up- and woah he’s way bigger up close.
Eddie watches as the wolf steps closer and giggles at the wet cold feeling of his snout sniffing at his hand. He brings it up to pet through the wolf’s unbelievably soft fur and marvels at the glisten of the golden-like color even in the moonlight. “You do too, huh?” Eddie giggles, scratching behind the wolf’s ear as he sniffs at Eddie’s face. “I think I’m gonna’ call you Ozzy.”
Ozzy huffs and Eddie laughs.
“Yeah. Ozzy suits you perfectly.”
