The residents of Hawkins have always known this town to be cursed, with instances such as the introduction of the Department of Energy, the previous lawsuits regarding MKUltra, and most recently the mysterious deaths of ‘83 and the “Munson Murders of ‘86”. This earth shattering (literally and metaphorically) cataclysm seems to be the final nail in the coffin for this midwestern small town.
