“Alrighty, I think that’s all of us,” Harrington’s overly cheery voice thunders somewhere from above him and Eddie, like a moth drawn to a flame, has no other option but to look up. With his hands power-posed strategically onto his sinfully slim waist and the sun positioned perfectly behind him, Steve Harrington seems to have taken it upon himself to alter Eddie’s brain chemistry, braincells leaving left and right, leaking right through his ears, never to be seen again.

Eddie could hear the murmurs coming down the hall before he could see the thing that started them. It was early on Monday morning, too damn early for gossip, in Eddie’s opinion, but no one was asking him, so he didn’t say anything. Besides, today’s topic of conversation was actually kind of interesting. And if that topic hadn’t just strutted into the hallway right then, Eddie might not have believed it, but there he was. Billy fucking Hargrove in a lilac purple dress, almost bright enough to be considered orchid, and certainly bright enough to make him stand out.
Or: Billy shows up to school one day wearing a dress, and Eddie is determined to get the full story. When he finally does, he realizes he has to do something to help save Billy from the humiliation. And what better way was there to do that than borrowing a cheer uniform from his best friend and making a scene in the middle of the cafeteria?

Eddie sees a phone number written on the bathroom wall and thinks it would be fun to call it. But the person who answers surprises him and suddenly he doesn't think it's a good idea any longer.
This was inspired by an 80s hair metal song called Bathroom Wall by Faster Pussycat. Unfortunatey, after I'd already written more than half of it, i remembered that the song didn't come out until 1987. So, I had to take out Eddie's references to the song.
Eddie's reference to The Upside Down is not in regard to The Upside Down that we all know and love (hate) in the show. Here I use The Upside Down as a part of Eddie's Cult of Vecna campaign in D&D only.

It was the end of the year, and everyone is graduating. Eddie needs to take his final exam, for the fourth time, as he keeps failing it. He will not graduate if he doesn't pass the final exam. He studies hard and eventually it pays off, as he passes the exam and is able to graduate with the rest of his friends.
