Aiden Jaylin Winterrowd, otherwise known as Blue Jay had a horrible childhood, marked by physical and sexual abuse and even more, including murder. He doesn't hope for a future, not that he has a real chance for it, after all. Then a strange encounter changes his life, giving him a second chance. Does he have the strength to heal from his past, can he find love, hope and future?
Elisabeth von Preußen had everything a child can imagine, yet, for most of her life she struggled, doubting herself and her abilities. Then on a day that was supposed to be fun, she finds herself in a situation she never even could have imagined. What follows after? Can she find herself, can she grow up to the role she was born to fulfil?
Except for the very first chapter, there's nothing explicit or graphic in the story (this is not a porn story, or a yaoi or etc.), the tags& warnings are there because of the topics covered and the things mentioned.
This story is set in an alternate universe. The German Empire is a thing - re-established with all the kingdoms and grand duchies and co. - just after WWII.

Renjun enters an eating disorder and his whole life begins to crumble apart, from his friendships, to nightmares that feel too real and weird things reflecting in his mirror.
(These days, he doesn’t even try to sleep. He already came to terms with the fact that no amount of aromatherapy, hot showers, calm music, or herbal teas will do. He lays on top of the covers, with the cold biting his toes, and just stares at the ceiling. Some nights, like tonight, he imagines the ceiling tearing apart, letting him see the starry night. He imagines himself floating up like a feather, flying through the sky, touching the clouds, and then the stars, and then lighting up in flames from being too close to the sun.
But he is in bed, he’s earthbound, he’s not light enough to fly. The shadow keeps reminding him of this fact; not like he ever forgets. And, instead of floating, he imagines being friends with the shadow version of him. It doesn’t seem like a very good friend, it’s mean.
He tosses and turns, and closes his eyes hoping he didn’t have to see those weird shapes under his eyelids.)

He was the child his parents never signed up to deal with and though he might be their idea of perfection to the public, he knew they hated him anyways.
