Gwynn was tired. No. That was an understatement. She was exhausted. She could feel it in the way it sat in her jaw and behind her eyes. In the way it dug it’s claws into her muscles and threw off her coordination. In the way it floated around her, clouding her thoughts with each sleepy breath.
Normally, Ivor was a headache. Most of the time, a crash risk. But now? He was the cause of Gwynn’s tired irritation.
The problem was that the sewers weren’t the most pleasant place to nap. Given both the Dojo and home had either Ivor or a mountain of complaints to deal with, that left one option.

Maybe a therapist, or his parents or Rose or… Hayden. As much as Ilya disliked the idea of Shane going to Hayden to talk about his problems instead of him, it was better than to keep it all inside.
Shane shrugged at the idea. “I don’t feel like I could talk to anyone about this…” His eyes were open now and glassy. He swallowed hard as he avoided looking at Ilya.
