Vi’s gaze grazed up and down the person’s body in front of her. A woman. Slender yet toned arms, an indication she still kept fit yet wasn’t eating enough to properly stimulate muscle growth. Two hauntingly blue eyes staring straight back at her through the lenses of the gas mask, narrowed into tight slits.
Despite the fact there was still a very real gun nuzzled into Vi’s sternum, her next words made her smirk.
“Safety’s on, sweetheart.”
There was a soft click, followed by the cold metal of a muzzle pushing deeper into Vi’s chest.
“Say that again,” the woman snarled.

"Or," Ava snapped, "I can just walk out and let you bleed to death in this shitty casino with your clicker friends. Whatever floats your boat."
That earned her a scoff.

Caitlyn presses her hands to her face to muffle a frustrated noise. “I quit the force, Vi. I have nothing to give them. I was tossed in there just like you did, but I owe them nothing.” She pauses and swallows thickly. “You’re really willing to risk your life because of a twenty year old gripe?”
Ire rises hot in Vi’s stomach. “A gripe? I lost my sister for twenty years, because of you, Caitlyn!”

Jisung lifted his head from the confines of his embrace to look out of their hotel window at the London cityscape, lit up in the late hours of the night. The city was loud, not nearly as much as Seoul, but it had its own charm. It was pretty, all the office lights against the night sky, almost acting like stars. Jisung goes slack in his hold, finally letting his brain go quiet for the night.
“Besides, it’s not like the world is going to end tomorrow.”
