Chapter Text
The summer before his last year in secondary school, Ranboo and his cousin (Dream) go to a small beach town to stay with their grandparents in their antique shop. There he meets a colourful cast of characters, a small group of longtime friends (Tommy, tubbo and purpled(???)). Until he hears a mysterious whistling sound which starts a series of events that will change his life forever.
- 6 chapters for the 6 songs in the ep (the songs will have to be out of order for plot purposes + progression)
- The order will be:
- Intro
- Airplane
- Whistle [Dream sequence]
- Alldaylong [Dream sequence]
- BEcause
- A Heart of Sunflower [Dream sequence]
- Murder mystery (tubbo is the murderer ofc)
- After following the whistle, and picking up what seems to be an old necklace, Ranboo gets hints to the mystery in Dreams, but doesn’t understand them fully until someone is reported dead.
plot:
Chpt 1 - intro
- Ranboo is in the passenger seat of a car, with Dream driving
- It is the last summer before his final year of secondary school and he’s going to spend the summer with his grandparents in a [beach town]
- Ranboo - frankly - doesn't wanna go but Dream encourage him and then they blast music in the car the rest of the way
- They get to the shop, Ranboo is fascinated but then is quickly engulfed in a hug by grandma. And then goes upstairs to unpack
- Once he's done he hears the chime of the door opening and then meets Tommy, a local resident the same age as him. They have a short conversation before Tommy invites him to a bonfire happening tomorrow night. Ranboo accepts.
- Ranboo ends the day writing on his phone notes what's happened that day.
Chpt 2 - airplane
- Starts with Ranboo eating breakfast and telling Dream about the party, they encourage him to go .
- Ranboo goes upstairs and changes into hawaiian-top-gear (lmao) and then walks around town, seeing how lively it is, and spots an airplane flying above.
- He spots Tommy at a coffee shop serving a customer, they have a small conversation
- Wilbur interrupts their conversation to get Tommy back to work and greets Ranboo.
- PARTY: Ranboo meets purpled through Tommy at the party and they all get along very well
- Ranboo asks who tubbo is, the other 2 express their slight dislike for the boy.
- They all have fun, and Ranboo interacts with a lot of other people.
- There he also meets tubbo, someone who seems very disconnected from the rest of the party
- Ranboo quickly learns that tubbo is an outcast. He spends the rest of the party with tubbo.
- They party until late, where Ranboo decides to leave whilst the rest of them stay for the bonfire
- Ranboo, whilst walking back home, hears a weird whistle in the wind
Chpt 3 - whistle
- After hearing the whistle, he ignores it, until he hears it again and decides to follow the sound, it getting more frequent and louder as he seemingly gets closer to a clearing in a forest.
now thinking about it, it would have made more sense for him to find the necklace in the antique shop to make the setting more significant rather then i some random ass forest but we move
- On the floor, there is a necklace, which Ranboo pockets and tries to find his way home (he does)
- That night he writes in his journal and has a Dream

DS 1
- Ranboo awakes from his bed in a sweat, unaware he’s in a Dream, with his window wide open
- He goes to close it, before noticing a figure dragging something along, the person and Ranboo’s eyes meet

- Ranbo awakes from his nightmare(?), rushes to the bathroom and splashes his face with water, freshens up and then goes downstairs where his grandma and Dream are watching the tv
- Ranboo asks what’s wrong, and then grandma starts crying softly
- Dream then tells him that someone was found dead yesterday
- Ranboo looks at the tv screen and sees that it was purpled that died
I bet you my main reason for killing purpled off early was bc i didnt know how to write him + him interacting with others that well lololol
Chpt 4 - alldaylong
- Ranboo, stunned by the news, slowly nods as tears slowly fall out of his eyes
- He starts getting flashbacks to when his sibling niki died similarly and rushed upstairs to cry.
- Ranboo (an hour later) is driven to the police station to give his statement, there he sees Tommy and tubbo
- Tubbo asks if he's alright, Ranboo assures that he’s ok, just slightly shaken up by the news
- Ranboo notices the necklace tubbo is wearing and comments on it.
- Tommy says that he’s always there if he needs support but Ranboo insists he's ok.
- Tubbo suggests that they all go somewhere to take their mind off things, Ranboo agrees, tommy begrudgingly follows
- They end up going to an abandoned carnival, although the weather is terrible, with the sky full of clouds
- Tubbo and Tommy reminisce about purpled, Ranboo hears the whistle again
- Tubbo asks if he’s ok, Ranboo says he's fine and just needs a break.
- Tommy and tubbo wave Ranboo off.
- Ranboo goes back home, writes in his journal and goes to sleep early

DS 2
- Ranboo awakes, being dragged along the ground by someone, he feels a sharp pain at his side
- The figure utters “go on Theseus, fly.” and then Ranboo is flung off the cliff
- As he falls, he sees a glimpse of the person, the only thing he can make out in the night is a small glint around the figure's neck (a necklace????)
- He’s flung into the ocean and struggles to keep himself afloat and eventually gives up

- Ranboo awakens in the middle of the night in a sweat, knowing who threw him off the cliff in his Dream. He attempts to go back to sleep. He doesn't sleep for the rest of the night.
Chpt 5 - BEcause
- Ranboo awakes early the next day to the sound of ambulances outside his window, confused, he looks outside and sees a blond being pulled onto a stretcher
- He rushes outside and sees tubbo and asks what happened
- Tubbo explains how someone found Tommy’s body washed up on the shore and was desperately clinging to life.
tommy should have died but anyways
- Ranboo (as he should) is stunned and tears start flowing from his face, tubbo hugs him to comfort him.
- Ranboo tells tubbo about his Dream, a flash of shock is on Tubbo's face, but then it quickly dissipates. Brushing it off as an odd coincidence.
- When Ranboo returns inside, he’s met by Dream sitting at the table on the phone, when they see Ranboo by the door, they promptly end the call.
- They tell Ranboo it was his parents, and how they want Ranboo to return home that evening. Saying that it's too dangerous for Ranboo to be there.
- Ranboo argues saying that he’s fine and nothing has happened to him, but Dream argues that whatever is happening is targeting people his age.
- Ranboo runs out of the house in retaliation and finds himself at the abandoned carnival, where he finds tubbo with his back turned
- Ranboo calls tubbo’s name, yet tubbo doesn't respond, Ranboo is worried and runs up to catch the attention of tubbo
- As soon as Ranboo touches tubbo, his vision goes blurry and everything goes black
chpt 6 - a heart of sunflower

DS 3
this is not a dream sequence goofy.
- Ranboo is dragged along the forest floor by a familiar person, before being dropped
- The person faces them and speaks, it’s tubbo.
- Tubbo reveals a knife from his pocket and tears start to fall from Ranboo’s eyes, tubbo shushes him.
- Tubbo comes closer and closer until the sounds of police sirens come from the distance
- Tubbo - scared- tries to run but trips over himself, dropping his knife. Ranboo gets up and takes the knife from tubbo and holds it towards him, before being tackled to the ground by a cop

- Ranboo gasps awake, and realises he's in a hospital, he presses the button or something and a nurse rushes into his room
- Whilst the nurse checks him, he asks what happened
- The nurse expresses that they don’t know a lot about what happened and that he should take it easy
- Then the officer and Dream come into the room.Dream engulfing him in a hug
- Ranboo hugs them back, tears falling from his face.
- After a moment of bonding, the officer asks them to leave to question Ranboo, the nurse and Dream leave.
- Ranboo asks what happened. The officer explains that he was found at the carnival bleeding, with a bloody knife next to him- the officer talks in a way as if Ranboo tried to unalive himself
- Ranboo explains that he wasnt trying to k1ll himself- and that he saw tubbo their before
- The cop thanks him for the info- and leaves, Ranboo is left wondering if ratting out tubbo was the right choice
- BAM- tubbo walks into the room with Ranboo in it, blah blah blah creepy shit ensues with tubbo essentially threatening him with the life support :skull: (also here tubbo explains his motives for attempting to kill tommy + purpled)
Chpt 7 - outro
- Flash forward 1 month.
- Scenes of funerals for tubbo and purpled
- At the funeral, Ranboo hears the whistle again, and it leads him to the seaside
- There he meets Tommy, looking over the ledge that Ranboo recognises from his Dream
- Ranboo sits next to him silently, Tommy starts to cry and Ranboo engulfs him into a hug and also starts to cry.
- Flash forward 2 days. Ranboo is driving home, with Dream, listening to the same song in the car. Looking out of the window.
