Chapter Text
Bruce was scared to go home. First of all he wasn't wearing the clothes he had on when he left the house. He still had Robin's hoodie on and Finney's sweatpants on. Secondly, rumors that flew around their school always ended up with the adults, since their town was small. So of course he was worried that his parents somehow knew about him already. He exited the school, rather fast since he knew people would try to stop him. As took a turn he felt someone watching him so he turned around and there was Moose following him. Great. As he was walking he felt a hand drag him to a alley way were he was about to scream until he saw that it was Robin who got him.
"Why did you grab him like that?!" Finney said sounding concerned.
Robin rolled his eyes, "That's how I always grab you", he smiled at Bruce, "Hi Bruce, what's happening?"
Bruce smiled back at Robin," Hi guys, just trying to get home without causing problems" he said as he turned to look at Moose, who just looked at them and turned around, looking rather. mad.
Bruce sighed, "Thanks again"
"Of course, anything for a friend" Robin said with a little nudge to his shoulder. Friends?
Robin sees them as friends?
"Friends?'
Finney gave him a smile. "Yes friend, your a nice guy Bruce"
"Even though you hangout with assholes"
Bruce let out a chuckle while Finney rolled his eyes.
"We like hanging out with you, Billy didn't stop talking about how nice you were" Finney giggled, "and Griffin will never admit it but he actually liked your company today as well"
Robin nodded, "Griffin is such an asshole, no wonder he's brother with Vance Hopper"
"They aren't blood related though" Finney noted.
"Yeah but still"
Bruce just laughed, "Thanks guys, it means a lot"
"Of course, lets walk you home."
The three boys were making their way over to Bruce's house, having conversations along the way. When they were stopped by a voice calling for Robin, a rather loud and angry voice.
All three boys turned around, with Robin smiling at his friend.
"Arellano" Vance said giving all three of them a glare.
Robin walked up to Vance, with Finney following after him and Bruce just going along with his friends.
"Hey, Vance" Robin gave the blond a smirk, "What's up?"
"Nothing much, just wanted to let you know your buddy Moose over there" he gestured behind him, where Moose was in fact standing there, "has been following you"
Moose looked rather upset that he got mentioned so he turned the other way.
Robin rolled his eyes, "that fucker has been after Bruce all fucking day" he said in an angry and annoyed tone.
"He isn't the only one, every known asshole has been trying to get their hands on Mr. Yamada" said Vance, also with an angry voice.
"Yeah, pretty sure they all been waiting for 'Mr. Perfect' to ruin his shine" Bruce said with a sigh and looking at the ground.
"don't let them take your shine" Finney nudged him, which caused Bruce to look up and was met with a smile from Finney.
"Yeah man, just cause you like men doesn't mean you aren't the golden boy anymore"
"Yeah well it doesn’t matter, I officially ruined my reputation, only because I decided to let a girl know the reason I kept rejecting her" Bruce sighed for the 100th time that day.
All the three boys just stared at Bruce. Just because he got outed, the whole school was treating him like someone different.
"come on Bruce we have to walk you home" Robin said as they continued walking, "wanna join us Vance?"
"I guess, don't have nothing better to do"
"really?, what about your pinball machine?" Robin said giving him a smirk.
"I don't always play shit head"
They all laughed as they continued walking to Bruce's house.
When they arrived Bruce said thank you to them and walked inside, not knowing what was waiting.
