Chapter 2: Version Two

Chapter Text

Alternate ending:

"Do you still want to move out?" He asked his eyes filled with hope.

I took a deep breath. I needed to decide whether I was going to go through with it or not. Lose a potential boyfriend or finish a YouTube video? The choice was more than obvious to me.

“Never. Never ever would I move out knowing that you loved me too. It was all a prank. Remember when Caspar Lee pulled the moving out prank on Joe Sugg? That’s all it was.” I was rambling but I was overjoyed to find out he loved me. I was positive that he was the love of my life.

“Phil! You nearly gave me a heart attack! You can’t scare me like that ever again! I can’t believe you didn't know that I love you. I gave obvious hints.” He said. He was smiling now too since he calmed down.

“Like what?” My eyebrows came together in confusion, and I frowned slightly.

“Feeding you, staring at you,the  little things that I said. Sometimes I thought you caught on and other times I thought you were clueless.” He laughed. “obviously you were clueless,”

I laughed. He was the light of my world, the light of my life and he loved me.

“I love you so much,” I gushed.

“I love you too,” If only you could touch someone through a Skype call. I was desperate to give him a hug. He was it for me. I would love him no matter what happened.

Epilogue:

Nine months later

I proposed last week today. Dan wanted his parents to know that we were engaged before the general public, so we were going to visit them. I had told my mother of course, which probably meant that everyone in Lancashire knew.

I looked down at our intertwined fingers and sighed happily. If there was ever a day I looked at the ring on Dan's left hand and wasn't happy then something was hugely wrong.

“You nervous?” I asked him.

“Of course I am. It’s not everyday you tell your parents that you’re getting married.” He said softly.

“It’s going to be fine. Your parents love me. Right?” Maybe they didn't. My eyebrows furrowed.

He shifted uncomfortably next to me. “Well...Not exactly. But they will now that you’re taking me off their hands” Dan laughed nervously.

“Don’t worry about it. I love you” I looked into his eyes so that he knew how much I meant it.

And with our eyes locked, staring into each other’s souls, he said “I love you too”.
