New York City, Manhattan, DeCarlo's
Peter pulls into the parking lot and parks the car. He and Kitty then get out of the car and close their doors.
"So, what do you think," Peter asked his date.
Kitty looked at the restaurant and couldn't believe it, "DeCarlo's, you got us reservations to DeCarlo's," Kitty said as she and Peter walked to the restaurant.
"Of course," Peter said as he grabbed Kitty's hand and squeezed it making her look at him, "Anything for my girlfriend."
Kitty smiled at this, she couldn't help herself, he deserved it. Kitty leaned up and kissed Peter on the lips, when they separated, they both blushed. It felt good to kiss Peter, she's happy that she can do this freely, but it will take them a while to get over the embarrassment. "Thank you," Kitty said
"Of course. Now come on, we don't want to be late. I'm pretty sure these are the type of people who frown on that," Peter said as he gently pulled Kitty forward leading her in the restaurant.
Inside DeCarlo's
Peter and Kitty entered the restaurant, they took a moment to look around considering neither have been there before. It was normally out of their price range. It looked nice, with a high ceiling with chandlers hanging, navy carpet, round tables with white cloth covering them with unlit candles placed on top. There was enough space between the tables where the servers could move freely. To say the least the young adults were impressed.
"Wow," Kitty muttered, truly impressed by the décor of the restaurant.
"I know, I knew that this place was nice. But not this nice. At least we're not under dressed," Peter said, he's glad that he checked the dress code when he decided to come here. At least they weren't standing out.
Kitty smiled, "That's true, this is definitely a fancy place," she said.
The two walk up to the desk, "Excuse me," Peter said getting the woman's attention, "Reservations for Parker."
"Of course, Mr. Parker. Your table is ready, please follow the server and he'll lead you to your table," the woman said
"Thank you," Peter said
With that Peter and Kitty followed the server to their table. As they sat down at their table, they noticed that they were next to a window where the two could see the New York City lights. It was nice. One of the things that Kitty missed living in New York were the lights. Sure, it could be hard to see the stars but at the right places the lights of the city is quite romantic just as it is now.
"My name is Dean, I'll be your server this night," Dean said as he placed menus in front of Peter and Kitty. "I must go but I'll be back so you can order."
"Thank you," Peter and Kitty said
The server left leaving Peter and Kitty to look at their menus, Peter whistled at what he saw on the menu, "Dang that's something," Peter said after looking at the menu.
"Um, yeah. I don't think I know what half this stuff is," Kitty said as she looked through the menu. "Only you would pick a restaurant where we wouldn't know what half the food on the menu is, Peter," Kitty said smiling.
"What can I tell ya? Do I know how to pick a restaurant or do I know how to pick a restaurant," Peter joked
Kitty giggled and went back to the menu, "Hey, they have a vegetarian section, hmm. Eggplant steak, I think I'll go with that," she said
"I guess I'll have the sirloin steak," Peter said
"Great, looks like we know what we're getting," Kitty said as she was about to close the menu, she however made the mistake of looking at the prices, "HOLY," she said eyes widening.
"What? What's wrong," Peter asked
"Do you have any idea how much the food costs," Kitty asked
"Um quite a bit," Peter said
"Quite a bit? Peter, we'll be spending $200 here on a single meal. That's way too much," Kitty said
"Kitty relax everything is fine, I have this handled," Peter tries to reassure his girlfriend.
Kitty however is not reassured, "Peter, it is one thing letting you pay for bowling and snacks last week. It is an entirely another thing to be spending $200 on a dinner. No, no way, I am not letting you spend that much money. We can go somewhere else," Kitty said getting ready to get up but Peter stopped her by placing his hands on her's.
"Kitty, calm down. It's ok I can afford this," Peter said
"I don't care, you shouldn't have to spend so much money," Kitty said
Peter squeezes Kitty's hand, "You're worth it Kitty. Let me do this for you," Peter said
After a moment of reluctance Kitty sighed, "Ok, just promise me that if any of our dates becomes too costly that we'll find an alternative," she said
"I promise," Peter said
"As long as you promise," Kitty said
"So, what went on with you today? Anything interesting," Peter said trying to change the topic of discussion.
Kitty groaned, "Cerebro detected a mutant today," she said
"Isn't that a good thing," Peter asked
"Normally, but this mutant was wrecking Detroit," Kitty said.
"Detroit. What did Detroit do to him? I mean personally I don't like Detroit; I'm still ticked that those dam Tigers knocked out the Mets last season," Peter said
Kitty smiled, "Get over it sweetie, the Mets got knocked out. What matters is that the Cubs made it," she said causing both of them to laugh. "Nah. Seemed to me the guy had a bad case of anger management," Kitty said
"Really? How so," Peter asked
"Well when Fourarms," Kitty said
"Wait wait sorry to stop you but Fourarms," Peter said
"That was the guy's powers, he had two extra arms giving him four arms. Apparently, he also had super strength and increased durability," Kitty said explaining why Fourarms referred to himself by the name.
"Heh, but Fourarms, really? I mean who does this guy think he is a character from Ben 10," Peter said
"Pff, I know right, that guy will get sued for copyrights. So, backstory, the guy was a wrestler in high school when his x-gene activated he dropped out and went into underground fighting. He then got banned from underground fighting for intentionally breaking a guy's neck thereby killing him," Kitty said explaining Fourarms story as if she's talking about the weather.
"Hm, so you think it was some kind of revenge plot like maybe the people who he was after was there or do you think it was him acting out," Peter asked curious on the reasoning behind Fourarms actions.
"I think it was him acting out, he didn't seem to have a specific target in mind," Kitty said, not to mention the guy honestly didn't seem to smart either.
Peter nodded, "You know I'm not sure which I prefer the villains with no target in mind or the villains that do have a target," he said
"If I had to choose, I'd pick the villains with no target. Because when villains do have a target, they seem to be more determined to meet it," Kitty said speaking from experience, most of her villains always have a specific target in mind so they're always determined to complete their task. It makes her job a lot harder. Why can't she just face people that just want to cause destruction, she feels like that it would be less of a headache.
"You have a point there," Peter said, how many times he's had to fight villains that had a specific goal in mind. Those were the ones that were annoying. He listened as Kitty explained all that happened on her X-Men mission.
"The guy gave us trouble, more trouble that we thought, because he had four arms, he was able to fight multiple of us at once, his super strength made his hits extra hard and extra painful, and his durability made it really hard to harm him. It was a hard battle, and we were honestly getting nowhere even though Rogue was able to absorb some of his powers. I then had an idea on how to beat him," Kitty said intriguing Peter.
"You came up with a plan," Peter asked
"I wouldn't call it a plan more of a suggestion. It was simple, we find a way to restrain him then we hit him all at once to take him out," Kitty said
"And it worked," Peter asked getting a nod from Kitty.
"Yeah, it did. While Rogue was locked in a strength contest with him, I told her to move and then I kicked the guy in the face, once I landed, I phased myself in the ground. Bobby then shot icicles at him, Scott then blasted him, Jean then picked up two big pieces of rubble and slammed them on both sides of him, Kurt teleported in and hit him across the face with a pole, then Rogue punched him in the face making him stumble. I then phased from the ground and as he was disoriented, I phased him through the ground, trapping him. Once trapped, we attacked, Rogue gave him one heck of a punch across the jaw, Kurt teleports in and kicked him in the face, then teleported out just a Bobby shot him with an ice blast, Jean then picked up a car and slammed it on top of Fourarms, Scott then blasted the gas tank making it explode. When the smoke cleared, we could see that Fourarms was definitely beat up, he then started screaming 'You think you can beat Fourarms. No one can beat Fourarms. Fourarms is the strongest there is', guy was really starting to annoy me so I walked up to him and said 'Newsflash that line belongs to the Hulk', then I kicked him in the face knocking him out," Kitty said
Peter whistled, "Dang I would have loved to see that," he said
"You would," Kitty asked
Peter nodded, "Seeing you just walk up to a guy, kick him in the face, knocking him out then just walking away. I hope you don't mind me saying but that's actually kind of hot," Peter said
Kitty blushed at the compliment, "R-Really, y-you think that was hot," she said getting a nod from Peter.
"Yeah, seeing you act like a badass, that is definitely hot," Peter said
Kitty giggled a little in embarrassment, that was the first time Peter called her hot and she really likes it. 'I wonder what he would think of me in my sirens outfit,' she thought, something for another time.
Just then their waiter Dean arrived, "Are the two of you ready to order," Dean asked
"I believe so. Kitty," Peter asked
"I'm ready," Kitty said
"What can I get you," Dean asked
"I'll have the eggplant steak with a coke," Kitty said
"And I'll have the sirloin with a sprite," Peter said
Dean wrote their orders down, "It will be out shortly," Dean said
"Thank you," Kitty said as Dean left.
It wasn't long until Dean came back with Peter and Kitty food. Once he served the food Dean took his leave while promising to check up on them later.
The young couple cut into their food and took their first bites, "Mm," Kitty hummed in pleasure.
"Wow, that's a good steak," Peter said as he took another bite of his steak.
"This eggplant steak is delicious. No wonder this place is so expensive," Kitty said as she took another bite from her eggplant steak.
"And to think, I almost decided not to bring us here," Peter said
"Really, we almost didn't come here," Kitty asked, getting a nod from Peter.
"Yeah, for the past three days, I'd been trying to figure out where we should go. I remembered this place and looked it up, it had great reviews. I was gonna go for it then I saw the prices and I thought that it was too expensive. I felt bad because I did want to take you here. I felt like I wasn't doing everything that I could to give you the date you deserved," Peter explained
Kitty grabbed Peter's hands then and squeezed them, she then smiled at Peter, "Peter, you don't have to do anything extravagant. You don't have to take me out to some fancy dinner or ballroom dancing for me to have a great time. All I want, all I need is for us to be together, whether it's us going bowling, getting pizza, going to a movie or just staying in, it doesn't matter as long as I'm with you then I'll always be happy," Kitty said
Peter smiled, "It's just, you deserve a lot Kitty and one day I hope that I can give that to you," he said
"All I need is you. That's all I need, that's all I want," Kitty said gripping Peter's hands tighter showing him that she means every word.
Peter squeezed Kitty's hands as well, "Anyway, I was feeling kind of lousy, and Tony found me, he asked me what was wrong and considering he already knew about us I figure that I'd tell him. So, I told him what was wrong. After I told him Tony convinced me that it was ok to take you to these places every once in a while. Sure, doing it excessively wouldn't be the best idea. But doing this every once in a while, wouldn't hurt," Peter said, he can also thank Tony for helping him get this reservation on such short notice. Being the personal intern to Iron Man really has its benefits.
Kitty hums in understanding, "I still think it's expensive," she said
Peter smiled at her, he is grateful how she seems to think of him, even financial wise she worries. "Let's enjoy the food, then we'll talk about whether or not we come back here," he said getting a confirmation from Kitty. "You know I really would have liked to see you kick that guy's butt," he said referencing to the mission that she just told him.
"It was a difficult mission that's for sure. Fourarms didn't make it easy for us. I was actually afraid that I was gonna miss our date," Kitty said
"If that would have been the case, you could have called and rescheduled. I would have understood, when you think about it that will probably happen quite a bit between us," Peter said, mentioning that their main obstacle in their relationship will be their superhero lives.
"Yeah, but I didn't want to. I've been looking forward to this ever since you suggested we go on an actual date," Kitty confessed
"I've been looking forward to this as well," Peter reassures smiling at Kitty who smiled back. "You really do look beautiful Kitty," Peter complimented
Kitty blushed at the compliment, "Thanks, it took me a while to figure out what I was gonna wear. I actually Skyped my mom so she could help me," she said
"How is Mr. and Mrs. Pryde doing," Peter asked
"They're doing well. Worried for me, with me being an X-Man, but they deal with it, and they accept it," Kitty said
"That's good. How did she react when she found out about," Peter said
"About us," Kitty finished getting a nod from Peter, "She was ecstatic, said that she's been waiting for us to get together for a long time."
"Aunt May said something similar," Peter said
"What did she say," Kitty asked wondering how May Parker took the news about she and Peter beginning a relationship.
"She said 'Peter it is about time you wizened up and told that girl how you felt'," Peter said quoting his aunt
Kitty giggles, yeah that sounded like something that Aunt May would say. "Do you think that we've been that obvious," she asked, referring to the feelings that the two shared for each other.
"Apparently, according to Aunt May, she and Uncle Ben saw us coming in the fourth grade," Peter commented as he took a drink from his Sprite.
Kitty smiled as she bit into her steak, "Mom said she saw us coming in second grade, and she had to tell Dad about it when we were in eighth grade," she said
"How'd he react," Peter asked
"Total denial, took him four months to come to terms with it," Kitty said
"Daddy doesn't want his little girl growing up and running off with boys," Peter joked
"Hey, I'm not so little anymore," Kitty said flirtatiously while giving Peter a seductive smile.
Peter smirked, "Believe me, I noticed," Peter said as he looked at Kitty up and down taking in how that dress hugs Kitty's figure perfectly, no Kitty certainly wasn't a little girl anymore, only a woman could pull off that dress. "So, you saying you'd run off with me," Peter flirted
"Hmm, depends on what we're gonna do," Kitty flirted
"I can think of a few things," Peter said
"Like," Kitty asked
"Nothing that should be said in a room filled with people," Peter said
Kitty's smile widened at the suggestion, "Would I enjoy it," she asked playfully
"I'd do everything in my power to make sure you would," Peter replied
Kitty's body started to feel warm at the implication of what Peter said. He'd make sure she'd enjoy it; she has no doubt that he would. She then couldn't help but wonder how them flirting turned into them throwing innuendos at each other.
"So, what did you do today? Anything interesting in your arachnid hobby," Kitty asked gesturing towards Peter's life as Spider-Man.
Peter nodded, "Fury gave us an assignment. There was intel about an arms deal happening in the warehouse district. The Ultimates were to," Peter said but was cut off by Kitty.
"Wait, wait, sorry but Ultimates," Kitty asked
"Oh yeah, we finally chose a team name, the Ultimates. What do you think," Peter asked
"Hmm, Ultimates, Ultimates, Ul-ti-mates, Ultimates," Kitty said testing the word out, "I like it, it's actually kind of cool. Where'd you come up with that?"
"I'll explain during the story. Anyway, so the Ultimates, headed to the warehouse, we took out the guards outside, then we took out the guards inside. We discovered that it was A.I.M. who was selling the weapons while the buyers were a gang of men wearing blue suites and Chinese demon masks," Peter said, Kitty imagined the people with the Chinese demon masks and shivered a little, those things can be scary. "We saw some of the demo and from what we saw these were weapons you did not want to be on the receiving end of. After the demo the head thug said that they'd rule the criminal underworld with the weapons. I decided that was a good point to step in so, we announced ourselves to the bad guys and then jumped down to show ourselves. After the usual banter, the bad guys took the weapons and attacked us. It was a tough fight, because there were numerous goons around us, they had some serious fire power, we also had to make sure that none of them escaped and that we had the weapons plus there was that healing factor of theirs," Peter said
"A healing factor? How did you find out about that," Kitty asked
"Nova was blasting the ground in front of the thugs to knock them away. One of the thugs stepped in the way of Nova's blast and," Peter said
"You're not saying that," Kitty asked eyes wide.
Peter winced and nodded, "Guy's arm was incinerated," Peter said
"Oh my god," Kitty said
"We were all shocked, Nova was freaking out. Just as we started to give Nova a hard time Iron Fist pointed us at the direction of the thug, and what we saw was…shocking and disturbing," Peter said
"What did you see," Kitty asked
"The guy's arm was regrowing, right from the wound itself and it was growing slowly," Peter said
Immediately Kitty imagined what Peter must have seen and her face turned to disgust, "Oh god, and I thought watching Rogue grow those two arms was gross," Kitty said
"Try actually watching it. I swear there were no words to say after that," Peter said, "Anyway the guy finally regrew his arm back, and even though we couldn't see his face we were pretty sure he was glaring at Nova," Peter said
"Did he try apologizing," Kitty joked
"Actually, he did, all he got in return was the guy shooting at him," Peter said making Kitty laugh.
"Well dang, that's a lot," Kitty said
"Yeah, it was, I thought that I was gonna be late because of it. But we managed to beat the bad guys and secure the weapons. Nova kept throwing team names out while we were fighting, there was Young Avengers," Peter said
Kitty scoffed, "Lawsuit anyone," she commented
"Champions," Peter said
"Of what," Kitty asked
"According to Nova, the world considering we saved it so many times," Peter said
"The X-Men saved the world too," Kitty pointed out
"I know, so has the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, which is what we pointed out to Nova," Peter said, "He then offered Justice Society, Heroes for Hire, Revengers."
"Revengers. You're joking," Kitty asked
"I wish I were. Finally, Nova offered the Superhero Squad," Peter said
Kitty sighed, "Naming teams is certainly not in his job description," she said
"Tell me about it. Nova got frustrated and said that we needed a team name…sigh…there was no way we were gonna hear the end of it if we didn't choose a name. That's when I remembered something Tony told me a while ago," Peter said
"What did he tell you," Kitty asked
"Tony was telling me the story on how he, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk, Thor, Wasp, and Ant-Man all came together for the first time as a team. He told me that they all sat down and brainstormed names on what to call themselves. They were stuck between two names Avengers and Ultimates. In the end they decided to go with the Avengers, leaving the Ultimates name unused," Peter said
"Heh, so that's where you got the name, interesting," Kitty said
"I suggested the name and the others liked it, after that was done, I reported in to S.H.I.E.L.D., then I left the others to handle the rest. Fury's probably gonna scold me later but oh well," Peter said shrugging his shoulders.
"Fury," Kitty said frowning at the name. "I still don't understand why you work with Fury. I mean you know he approved the sentinels, right? Those giant machines that were built to kill us," Kitty said referring to herself and mutants. "How do you work with someone who will approve of those killing machines?"
"I don't," Peter says surprising Kitty.
"What," Kitty asked
"I don't work with someone like that, I work with son," Peter said
"His son," Kitty asked
"Yep, Nickolas Fury Jr., that's who I've been working under," Peter said
"Then, who…," Kitty asked
"The Fury that the X-Men have been dealing with, the one that approved the sentinels, that is Nicholas Fury Sr.," Peter explained
"Wait so, there are two Nick Furies," Kitty asked
"Yep, father and son, and both with eyepatches believe it or not," Peter said
"So Senior, is the one who approved the sentinels," Kitty said getting a nod from Peter.
"Junior wanted to call in more heroes. Actually, he wanted to send us in to help you guys with Apocalypse, but Old Man Fury shot it down. He didn't want any more superheroes getting involved than there already were," Peter said
"Some more help would have been appreciated. Wait, Old Man Fury," Kitty questioned
Peter smirked, "That's how we separate them, we call Nick Fury Jr., Fury, and we call Nick Fury Senior Old Man Fury" he replied
Kitty giggled at how the father and son are told apart, she feels better though. Even though Peter is working for a Fury at least he isn't working for the Fury that the X-Men have been dealing with.
The two continued talking, telling the other about some missions they'd been on, what's been happening in school, they've joked, made comments, laughed, until finally their dinner was finished, and they were given the bill.
Peter whistled as he saw $200 on their bill. He looked at all the items that he and Kitty ordered and looked at their prices. He wanted to make sure that they were being charged properly. He may be willing to spend this much money on Kitty, but he wants to make sure that they aren't being overcharged. His Uncle Ben taught him to check a receipt on everything you buy. He calculated the price of every item they ordered, multiplied it by the sales tax to make sure that they got the appropriate price. Then Peter added his and Kitty's orders together which he calculates $200 owed. Satisfied, he gets his money out, takes out four 50 dollar bills and places them on the bill. He is about to take some money out to give a tip to their server, but Kitty beats him to it.
"I got the tip," Kitty said as she starts to take out her money.
"Kitty, I can," Peter said but is cut off.
"I said, I'll get it Peter," Kitty said with a tone of finality, letting Peter know that he isn't changing her mind. He's spent enough on this dinner; she can get the tip. Kitty takes out nine dollars and places it on the table. "Ready to go," Kitty asked as she looked at Peter.
"Yep, let's go," Peter said as he and Kitty got up from their chairs and headed out.
"So, where to next," Kitty asked, she checked her phone, it was 7:45 the night was still young, and she wasn't near ready to go back to the Institute. She certainly hopes that Peter had some other things in mind than just dinner, even though it was a very nice dinner.
Peter smiles, he still had a couple of things up his sleeve for Kitty, "I'll show you," he said as he led Kitty to his car.
Central Park
Peter's car parks on the side of the road, Peter and Kitty then get out of the car. Once they were out of the car Kitty knew exactly where they were. How couldn't she? She's spent plenty of her time here. It was when she saw the sign was it confirmed that Peter had taken her to Central Park.
"Hope you don't mind, but I thought a walk-through Central Park would be a good idea," Peter said
Kitty smiled at Peter, she then wrapped her arms around Peter's arm, "Not at all," she said as they stepped on a pathway of Central Park.
As they walked through Central Park, Kitty looked at the night sky, "it's a lovely night," Kitty said as she admired the sky.
"It is. Perfect night for a romantic stroll with a pretty girl," Peter said as he looked at Kitty who smiled and blushed at being called pretty.
"Also, a great night for a girl to be in the arms of her handsome boyfriend," Kitty replied back to Peter, who took the hint and wrapped his arm around Kitty's waist and pulled her close. When she was close enough Kitty wrapped her arm around Peter's waist. Their free hands then joined together. Peter leaned down and kissed the top of Kitty's head.
Peter and Kitty continued walking along the path in Central Park enjoying the sense of nature that surrounds them. They'd been walking in silence for 10 minutes. The silence between them wasn't an awkward silence, yet it wasn't the same companionable silence that the two had grown accustomed to over the years, no this silence between them now, was more personal, private, intimate. It was new but they found that they both liked it very much and neither were in any hurry to break it.
Eventually though Peter did have to speak he is after all Peter Parker, the Ultimate Spider-Man so talking was in his nature. He also really wanted to know if Kitty was enjoying herself.
"So, what do you think," Peter asked referring to where they were and what they were doing. He hoped that she was enjoying herself.
Kitty took a look around, she saw flowers, trees, the lake, it was all so beautiful. She then looked at Peter and smiled at him, "I love it," she answered honestly, and she really does. A walk in the park in the arms of her boyfriend. What could be better than that?
Peter smiled, seeing Kitty so happy, the fact that she's enjoying herself even though they've just been walking in silence. The fact that she's happy and it's because of something that he did for her. It was a big accomplishment for him. "I'm glad, it was a tough decision on where I was gonna take you. I was caught between Central Park and High Line Park," he said
"High Line Park is nice, I wouldn't have minded going there," Kitty said, she liked both places, they both had their own kind of scenery.
"I know but Central Park had something that I think beats High Line," Peter said
Kitty looked at Peter questioningly, "Like what," she asked, she can't really think of anything that Central Park has that High Line doesn't, well nothing that seems relevant to this anyway. Peter smiled, he then looked up and gestured Kitty to do the same.
When Kitty looked to where Peter was looking, she couldn't help but gasp in surprise and cover her mouth with her hands. In front of her and Peter right before Kitty's eyes is a horse carriage waiting there. She couldn't believe it, a carriage ride, Peter set up a carriage ride for them. She looked at Peter, "Did, did you," she asked.
In response Peter held out his hand for Kitty. Still in slight surprise Kitty placed her hand in Peter's. Peter then led her to the carriage. Greeting the carriage driver and giving him the appropriate amount of money, Peter and Kitty entered the carriage with Peter letting Kitty go first. "Ladies first," Peter said making Kitty smile at him being a gentleman to her. She stepped up the stairs and entered the carriage with Peter following her. The young couple took their seats, and the carriage driver orders the horses to move.
As they rode through Central Park, Peter grabbed Kitty's hand, making her look at him, she gave him one of her biggest smiles and scooted closer to him so she could lean on his shoulder. In response Peter wrapped his arm around her and they enjoyed the carriage ride.
"I can't believe that you were able to set up a carriage ride," Kitty said, she just couldn't believe it, Peter set up a carriage ride for them. She always wanted to go on a carriage ride especially at night, she thought that would be the most romantic time for one. She thinks that she may have told Peter that at one point in time. It was one of the times where she decided to hint to him that she liked him. Of course, him being Peter meant that he completely missed the hint. It would seem though that he actually remembered when she told him that. It made her feel happy inside at how much he pays attention to what she said.
"Well, you did once tell me that you always wanted to go on one, especially at night. I just figure that I'd make your wish come true," Peter said confirming Kitty's suspicions on where he got the idea.
Kitty looked up in front of them looking at the park admiring the flowers that they were passing by, all the while cuddling up closer to Peter. Said boy decided to lean his head on top of Kitty's as he tightened his grip on her, not tight enough to hurt or be uncomfortable but just tight enough for Kitty to know that he has her, that with him she is safe.
"Thank you," Kitty said to Peter getting his attention.
"What," Peter said as he looked at Kitty who looked up at him and gave him the most beautiful smile that he has ever seen.
"Thank you for doing this, for the dinner, the walk, this carriage ride. I know I gave you a hard time on the cost, it's only because I care. But despite that this had been amazing," Kitty told Peter sincerely, she wanted him to know how grateful she is for what he's done.
Peter smiled, he then used his free hand to put his index finger under Kitty's chin to raise her head more, he then leaned down and captured her lips with his. As Peter kissed her, Kitty closed her eyes and returned it. Peter moved his hand from under Kitty's chin to cup her cheek. To the couple the kiss felt like it lasted forever when in reality it was only a minute when they broke apart. Peter touched their foreheads together to where he was looking Kitty in her eyes. She could see his love and devotion that he has for her. How could she have been blinded by something that seems so obvious now.
"I love you Kitty, and I will do whatever I can to make sure you're happy. Whether it means taking you on carriage rides for every date, taking you to a fancy dinner or even a pizza, whether you want to go bowling or even take a walk-in Central Park. I'll do all of that and so much more if it means I get to see that beautiful smile of yours," Peter said making Kitty blush at his words.
Kitty looked up at Peter, "Remember Peter, this relationship goes both ways, so don't think that I'm gonna let you give me everything that I want without giving you everything in return. That includes my soul, my spirit, my heart, and my love. I love you Peter with all of my being I love you," she said, Kitty then placed both hands on Peter's cheeks and kissed him, a kiss in which he happily returns. Their kiss is like all of their other ones at first. Neither wants to let the other go yet, so they decide to continue the kiss, as it continues it starts to heat up a bit. Peter starts to deepen the kiss, making Kitty moan in pleasure. Kitty then decides to reciprocate Peter's efforts by adding in her own togue. Their hands started to travel their bodies; Peter rubs his left-hand down Kitty's back making her give a pleasurable shiver. While Kitty herself moved her right-hand down Peter's chest feeling it up and down. Peter right hand grab Kitty's hip while Kitty's left hand moves to Peter's hair pulling it. They continued this until finally they needed breath and broke apart.
"Wow…that was…," Peter breathes heavily as he looked at Kitty want in his eyes. He can feel certain parts of his autonomy reacting to that kiss.
"Yeah…it was…," Kitty breathed out with the same amount of want in her eyes. Her entire body felt really, really hot right now.
Peter and Kitty rested their foreheads against each other and smiled. Kitty then returned to her original position in Peter's arms, resting her head against him.
The carriage ride lasted for 45 minutes, they spent half the time talking, mostly about random topics that would pop in their heads. They talked about what had been happening at school. Peter told her how S.H.I.E.L.D. pulled him out of class to go on a mission and Kitty said that she wished that she was pulled out of class for a mission, so she didn't have to take her math test. She then commented how easy things were when they went to school together. They then found themselves reminiscing about when they went to Midtown Elementary and Midtown Middle together. The other half was spent in silence, neither of them saying a word, neither had too. They were enjoying themselves, as long as they were with each other then they were happy.
After their time was up, Peter and Kitty got out of the carriage thanking the driver for his services. They then walked away with both having their arms around each other's waist. Kitty looked at Peter as they walked through Central Park some people passing by them. "So, what's next, or is that it," she asked wondering if this is the end of their night together. Call her clingy but she really doesn't want to leave Peter. This is the second time being with him in person as his girlfriend. The first was last Friday when they got together. After that, they didn't get the chance to see each other the entire week because of their schedules. All they were able to do is text and call each other and frankly that wasn't enough for Kitty. She had been counting the days down for when she got to see him again. She wasn't ready to say goodbye yet.
Peter smiled at Kitty, fortunately for her he wasn't finished yet, he still had one more thing up his sleeve for his girlfriend. "This night isn't over yet Kitty, we still got one more thing to do and I think you'll like it," he said
"I better like it. Remember Mr. Parker I'm the one who is privileging you with my presence. So, you better have something impressive in mind," Kitty jokes
"But of course, Madam, the best only for you," Peter joked in a British accent making Kitty giggle at his ridiculousness. "We will need to swing there. So, up for a little web swinging," he already knew the answer.
"I'm always up for web swinging," Kitty answered, with that answer Peter guided Kitty to a private area so they won't be seen swinging away. Once they were at the designated area, Peter got his web-shooter ready.
"You ready," Peter asked looking down on his girlfriend who gave him a smile in reply.
"Ready," Kitty answered
"Alright, here we go," Peter said, he then shot his web-shooters up and swung them out of the park.
Chrysler Building
It didn't take Peter long to swing them to their intended location. As they swung Kitty saw where Peter was taking them, "The Chrysler Building," she said, she then looked at her boyfriend, "Are we going there?"
"Yep, this will be our final stop for the night," Peter answered, they then landed on the roof of the building.
Once they landed Kitty took a quick look around. She'd been here before with Peter, one of the advantages of having Spider-Man as your best friend and now boyfriend is that she can go to some really amazing places and see some really amazing views.
Peter then took Kitty's hand, "Come on," he said as he gently pulled her.
"Where are we going," Kitty asked as she followed him. Peter only smiled at her in return.
"You'll see, it's up ahead," Peter said as he led Kitty to the mystery spot. It was a short walk considering they were on the roof until they arrived, and once Kitty saw it, she was once again speechless. Hanging up in front of them was a hammock made of web, there were two blankets, one was a red blanket that covered the entire top of the hammock while the other was a black one that was folded up at the end of the hammock. The hammock itself was quite large with enough room for them to not feel squeezed together. Kitty observed the hammock for a moment, then she looked at Peter who smiled down at her. "I thought a good end of the night would be star gazing."
A wide smile appeared on Kitty's face then, "You Mr. Parker are so cheesy, you know that. Where'd you get this idea, the end of a movie," Kitty teased, but despite her teasing she loved it.
Peter shrugged, "Seemed like a good idea, besides if I remember correctly, you like those cheesy scenes from the movies," Peter said making Kitty laugh in response.
"I do," Kitty agreed
"So, you want me to pick you up and jump up," Peter asked
"How about I just phase us up," Kitty offered as she tightens her hold on Peter's hand and for the second time tonight used her phasing powers. They then found themselves floating in the air and to the hammock. Once they got to the hammock Kitty slowly deactivated her powers, so they landed gently on the hammock in a sitting position. The two laid on their backs with Peter wrapping his arm around Kitty's waist and her resting her head in his chest. Peter and Kitty laid in the hammock in silence watching the stars as the hammock swung gently side to side. "This is nice," Kitty commented as they watched the stars.
"Yeah," Peter asked getting a nod from Kitty.
"Yeah, but you know you should see the stars from outer space. Now that is amazing," Kitty said
"When did you go to outer space," Peter asked, he's not sure Kitty told him this story yet.
"It was my first year at Xavier's, Magneto had set up some kind of sanctuary on an asteroid called Asteroid M. He had set up some messed-up test where the mutant who joined him on the asteroid had to prove themselves. Me, Rogue, Kurt, and Evan," Kitty explained but was cut off by Peter.
"He's the guy who left the X-Men right," Peter asked getting a nod from Kitty.
"That's him he went off and joined a group called the Morlock's to protect them but ever since Apocalypse. He may come back. We're not sure though. Anyway Me, Rogue, Kurt, and Evan were at the beach when we got ambushed from the Brotherhood. Me, Kurt, and Evan were beat, Rogue won though, and the victors got sent to Asteroid M with these metal pods. Little did we know that it wasn't just us that happened to. Earlier Toad tried to fight Jean and lost so Jean got taken, Mystique fought Ororo and was beat, so Ororo was taken. While all of this was going on Scott was meeting up with his long-lost brother Alex and they both went to Asteroid M. Professor X tried to talk to Magneto and Scott, but he was placed in stasis along with Jean, Rogue, and Ororo, who all didn't approve of what was going on. Before he was put in stasis though the professor was able to get a message out to Logan to lose his fight with Sabretooth which he did, and Sabretooth was taken to Asteroid M. Once we recovered, Me, Kurt, and Evan questioned Toad who told us everything. That's when we first discovered Magneto. After that we along with Toad went to the mansion to find Storm but we couldn't find her. Instead, we found Mystique, she raves at us about how no one discards her and that she was going for Magneto, and we could go with her, or she could go alone. Logan then came in and said that we were all going. Mystique tried to put herself in charge because according to her she knew Magneto. But Logan quickly shot her down. So, we all go to Asteroid M in a new jet called the XM-Velocity. We get shot down believe it or not by Scott and Alex," Kitty said
"What? Why would they do that," Peter asked confused, from what Kitty's told him Scott seemed like a cool guy, uptight (Kitty's words) but cool.
"Magneto had something called a gene-enhancer, it's supposed to upgrade a person's mutation to its highest point. Apparently, Magneto wanted Scott and his brother Alex to go through. Said if they did, he'd release the X-Men that were in stasis. I guess he used Sabretooth as a demonstration. The guy went in looking like himself, and after the machine was used, he came out feral," Kitty said
"Um isn't Sabretooth always feral," Peter asked as he remembers some of his own encounters with the mutant.
"Well yeah but this time he was seriously feral. I mean the guy had fur all over his body not to mention way bigger and meaner," Kitty said
"Heh," Peter asked
"Yeah so, once Scott and Alex were in the machine Magneto kept his word and released some of the X-Men. The machine was activated and when Scott and Alex walked out they were adults," Kitty said
"Adults? What? How," Peter asked confused
"I have no idea, all I know is that when I got there, they were adults and had white hair," Kitty said
"Hm," Peter hummed in thought, "Maybe by upgrading their mutation also sped up their aging process. When you think about it, we ourselves are upgrading as we grow older. So, it would stand that when a fully grown adult mutant goes through the machine then only their mutation would be upgraded while an adolescent mutant was to go then not only would their mutation be upgraded but they'd be aged to the prime of their life," Peter theorized making Kitty look at him in interest.
"Heh, I really need to introduce you to Mr. McCoy and the Professor one day," Kitty said
"That would be really cool, you know I've read all their papers. I especially liked the paper that professor Xavier wrote about," Peter said but was cut off by Kitty who really didn't want to see him fanboy over her teachers.
"Peter, my story," Kitty said
"Right, sorry. Continue," Peter said
"Yeah, Scott and Alex are adults with white hair and according to Magneto the machine affected their minds as well as wiped their emotions. So anyway Scott and Alex shoot us down, Logan crash-lands us in the main chamber," Kitty said, she then explains to Peter everything that happened, her phasing the others out of the jet, Logan freeing the other X-Men so they could leave, the Brotherhood vs the X-Men, Sabretooth vs Logan, Jean trying to free Scott and Alex from their mind-control, how they had to escape the asteroid because it was falling apart, how they all gathered in the jet ready to leave being joined by Scott and Alex who broke the mind-control, how Scott and Alex destroyed Asteroid M causing them to turn back to normal. "Scott apologized for how he acted. No one was sure what happened with Magneto and Mystique, but it was mentioned that two spheres were seen escaping. Considering everything that has happened up to this point you know that they survived," Kitty said
Peter whistled, "Dang, that's some adventure Kitty," Peter said
"Yeah, it was, but you know I will never forget when I just took a second to look and saw all of those stars out there. It was really incredible," Kitty said as she looked up at the night sky.
"Yeah, it really is," Peter said as he looked at the stars then at Kitty admiring her beauty.
Kitty feeling Peter's gaze on her looked up at him to see him admiring her causing a blush to appear on her face, "What are you looking at," Kitty asked
"You," Peter answered
"We're stargazing, you're supposed to be looking at the stars," Kitty pointed out
"Perhaps, but I'd rather look at you. You're much more beautiful than any star," Peter said making Kitty blush deeper.
"Well. You're not so bad looking yourself Mr. Parker," Kitty responded
"Oh really," Peter said getting a nod from Kitty.
"Better than some gaseous piece of rock that's for sure. Not to mention," Kitty said as she rubs her hand on Peter's chest, "I can touch you."
Peter laughed, "Well, I'm glad you find me more interesting than a star," he said
Kitty smiled, "I find you much more interesting," she said as she looked Peter in the eyes, this truly has turned out to be a great night.
As they look in each other's eyes Peter and Kitty move their heads towards one another and meet in a nice slow kiss. After a moment the two break, apart and look at each other for a moment. Peter smiles which Kitty returns, and they lean in for another kiss. Like last time in was a nice, slow, and loving kiss but then like last time in the carriage it started to heat up. This time Kitty decides to be the one to deepen the kiss which makes Peter moan. In response to Kitty, Peter opens his mouth and enters his tongue into Kitty's mouth making the mutant girl moan in pleasure. Kitty wraps her arms around Peter's neck and pulls herself up to be level with him. This allows Peter to pull Kitty by the waist to him where their hips hit each other. The two of them continue to kiss each other only stopping to take a few breaths until they continue. Peter moves one hand down Kitty's body and caresses her stomach through her dress as his other hand moves to the side of her neck and caresses it and squeezes it as gently as he can, but hard enough to make her feel pleasure. Kitty moans at the sensation she is feeling, she just feels so dam good. Certain regions of her body are starting to feel very bothered but in a good way. It just makes her want to continue and so she did as she had one hand behind Peter's head pulling at his hair while her other hand grabbed the side of Peter's neck, squeezing it but not as gently as he hers. He has enhanced durability; she knows that she has to put a little extra work in if she wants to cause him pleasure.
Kitty succeeds in doing just that according to the moans that come from Peter. In response Peter kisses Kitty, a little harder not that she minds in fact she actually enjoys it. What really surprised her was when their hips slam together, and he rubs up against her nether region. Kitty breaks the kiss, "Ohhhh," she moaned in pleasure. They then take that moment to look each other in the eyes and they both see the same thing. Want, their want for each other. Peter then kisses Kitty again which she returns, he then rolls himself to where he is on top of the X-Woman. Peter breaks the kiss allowing them both to breath, he then kisses the corner of Kitty's mouth down her jaw and to her neck where he starts to kiss it, "Ohhhh, ohhhh, ohhhh," Kitty moans through bated breaths, she tilts her head to the side to allow Peter more access which he takes advantage of causing more pleasure to course through her and making her breath a little faster than normal. Kitty's hands move to Peter's jacket and grips it, she wants it off him. She tries to pull Peter's jacket off him but is unsuccessful, Peter who took the hint took his jacket off and threw it off the hammock. He then went back to kissing Kitty's neck, found her pulse and sucked on it, "Peter," Kitty moaned in pleasure as she felt her pulse being sucked.
As Peter sucked Kitty's pulse his hand moves down further Kitty's body till, he touches her smooth leg. At the touch of Kitty's leg, he could feel himself getting hard, he only got harder as he moved his hand up her leg. He moved his hand up until he was just below her thigh, once there he moved his hand back down and repeated the motion.
Unknown to Peter, Kitty was just getting more turned on and feeling more touch deprived. What the hell? Why wasn't there enough skin for her to touch? Kitty quickly grabbed Peter's shirt and with every ounce of concentration she still has because fuck the pleasure is really getting to her, Kitty pulls Peter's shirt, phasing it off him and throws it down on the ground. At feeling his shirt come off Peter sits up a bit to look at Kitty who is giving him a lustful look as she admires her boyfriend's chest and six pack abs. Kitty then grabs Peter by the neck and pulls him in for another kiss, much happier now, because this time Kitty has more skin-to-skin contact.
As they kiss, Kitty runs her hands down Peter's bareback making him shiver in pleasure which causes her to smile, once her hands are to his waist, she runs her hands back up dragging her fingernails lightly against his skin, then she moves her hands to his shoulders, squeezing them, then her hands go down Peter's arms, she is definitely taking her time to enjoy those details. Kitty then breaks the kiss and starts to kiss Peter's neck now, "Ohhhh, Kitty," Peter moaned softly as he felt Kitty's gentle kisses on his skin. Kitty eventually finds Peter's pulse and starts to suck on it making him moan in her ear. Kitty then gets a devious idea; she bites Peter's pulse making him give an involuntary yelp and growl in pleasure. Kitty decided that she liked the reaction and did it again getting the same results. She would have done it a third time, but Peter pulled away and gave her an annoyed look. All Kitty did was smile innocently at him as if she did nothing wrong. Peter rolled his eyes, he then went back down and kissed Kitty who returned it, Peter moved his hand up and down her leg again stopping at her thigh as his other hand was moving up and down her side from her waist to her chest, his thumb just two inches from touching her breast. Kitty's breathing picks up at how close Peter was to her breast, just a couple more inches. Kitty was moving her hands up and down Peter's back lightly scratching his back with her nails. They can both feel their arousal building through the other's action. Both wanting more than they are doing.
Peter is hard, so hard it is straining his pants, all he wants is to take Kitty right here and now. The thought is so tempting, if they don't stop now then he may not be able to control himself.
Kitty herself is wet between her legs and she knows it, this is a dream come true for her. All she could think about is what may come next, the very thought makes her heart pound harder and faster.
Peter breaks the kiss and looks Kitty directly in the eyes, he slowly moves his hand up further Kitty's thighs to her inner thigh heading between her legs, "Kitty tell me to stop," Peter said
Kitty's breathing is getting heavier, her heart pounding so hard she could hear it, her need getting stronger. She wanted it, she wanted him so badly, to be with Peter, to become one with him and express how much she truly loves him, which is why it is surprising when she said the following word, "Stop," she said, when she said that Peter stopped and pulled his hand back. Peter then looked at Kitty apologetically.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to rush," Peter apologized as he got off of Kitty and laid beside her.
Kitty rolled to her side and looked at Peter, "Don't apologize Peter," Kitty said
"I feel like a jerk, pressuring you into having sex," Peter said looking away from Kitty.
"Peter look at me," Kitty said as she grabbed Peter's face in her hands and turned him towards her, "I'm not mad, you're not a jerk, and you certainly didn't pressure me into anything that I didn't want to do." Kitty smiled at Peter, "We were on the verge of having sex Peter, and who knows we may be doing it right now if you didn't say anything. But you did say something, you gave me a chance to back out of it, and that Peter Parker makes you a really, really good guy."
"I just didn't want you to regret anything," Peter said
"Peter, if there is one thing that I know that I would never regret it would be us making love," Kitty said truthfully, she then took a breath, "The truth is, that I want to have sex…with you," Kitty confessed surprising Peter.
"You do," Peter asked getting a nod from Kitty, his face then became perplexed, "Then why did you tell me to stop?"
Kitty looked uncertain, "I don't know. I wish I did. What we were about to do is something that I have dreamt about for so long. Yet when we were nearly there, I just…chickened out."
Peter looked at Kitty in concerned, "Kitty," he said as he placed his hand on Kitty's cheek, "You know that I would never hurt you, right?"
"I know you wouldn't Peter. I trust you, more than you know. I just, I don't know, I mean perfect scene, perfect guy, perfect moment, and I say no," Kitty groaned, "I am such a spaz."
"You're not a spaz Kitty, you're quirky. You always were and it's cute," Peter said complimenting Kitty making her smile at the compliment.
"I just, I want to, believe me Peter, I want to," Kitty said as she reach her hand up to Peter's face and caressed it, "I don't know why I so hesitant maybe it's because," Kitty said trying to come up with the answer on why she is saying no to making to making love with the man of her dreams, the love of her life, someone who she is convinced to be her soulmate.
Peter, however, seemed to have the answer that she was looking for, "Maybe it's because despite our feelings for one another and our desires. The fact is that we've been friends since we were little and now that we're a couple, we're taking new rolls in each other's lives now," he explained making Kitty understand what he's saying.
"We know each other, inside and out, but despite our want for being in a romantic relationship, we simply don't know each other in that way. I love you with all my heart, and I know you love me, but the fact is we don't know each other in a romantic way, and until we do know one another that way. I don't think I'll ever be ready for us to have sex," Kitty explained, finally realizing why she said no.
Peter smiled, "I guess it's a good thing that I want to get to know you in that way then isn't it," he said
Kitty smiled, "I guess so, this will definitely take a while adjusting to the new roles we have in each other's lives," she said
"I look forward to it," Peter said as he grabbed Kitty's hand with his interlacing their finger together, squeezing he hand gently.
Kitty looked down at their interlaced hands and then looked up at Peter and smiled, "So, do I," she said smiling squeezing back.
"So, do you want to continue stargazing or do you want me to take you home now," Peter asked
Kitty didn't even think of her answer, "I wanna continue stargazing," she answered.
Peter smiled down at Kitty who smiled back, "Ok then," Peter said, he then laid on his back while Kitty moved closer to him and laid her head back on his chest. she wrapped her arms around Peter while he wrapped his around her waist. They then looked up at the night sky and watched the stars.
Outside Xavier Institute, October 9, 1:30 am
Peter's Sedan Sports Car parks in front of the institute across the street, the doors open and out comes Peter and Kitty. Peter walks Kitty to the gate and they stand in front of it for a moment deciding to have one last talk.
"Well, here we are, Shalay Xavier. How much trouble do you think you're in," Peter asked
"I have no idea; curfew was hours ago. Logan's probably gonna make me do his deathtrap of a danger room for the rest of the weekend," Kitty said
Peter laughed, "Sorry," he said
"Don't be," Kitty said as she wrapped her arms around Peter and kissed him, "After this date. Whatever Logan can think of it will be worth it."
"I'm just glad nothing ruined it," Peter commented
"Same here. It was the perfect night, thank you," Kitty said
"Of course," Peter said as he rested his forehead against Kitty's. They then leaned in and kissed each other, "I guess I better go then."
"Yeah, I guess so," Kitty said disappointed, she really didn't want him to leave.
"I'll call you tomorrow. Ok." Peter said
"Ok," Kitty said
Peter kissed Kitty one more time, "I love you," he said
"I love you too," Kitty said back
With one last smile Peter left Kitty and headed to his car. Kitty watched as he got in his car and started the ignition. He waved at her, and she waved back, Peter then drives off and headed back to his home.
Watching him leave until he was out of her sight, Kitty lowered her hand back to her side, she then turned around and phased through the institute gate walking to the institute and to her punishment.
Xavier Institute
Kitty opens the door to the institute and looks inside to see the foyer empty, "No one's here," she whispered, she enters the building and closes the door. "Heh." No one in sight maybe she will get away with this after all. Feeling confident that she is safe Kitty walks up the stairs heading to her room.
Upstairs
Kitty is walking in one of the many hallways of the institute, now at ease at the knowledge that she was actually gonna get away with this. Just as she was walking a door opens without her knowing. Someone clears their throat from behind Kitty getting her attention and making her stop in her tracks. Slowly Kitty turns around to see none other than Jean Grey standing right before her in her nightwear.
"J-Jean I…," Kitty said
"You've been gone quite a while Kitty," Jean said commenting on the time.
"Yeah, well the date. It, it lasted longer than expected," Kitty said
"Uh heh," Jean said raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, we lost track of time," Kitty said, it was the truth. After their conversation Peter and Kitty had gone back to stargazing, they also wound up talking again until eventually they fell asleep in each others arms. They had only woken up not to long ago. "How much trouble am I in?"
"None," Jean said getting a surprised look from Kitty.
"What," Kitty said
"You're in no trouble. I covered for you, right now everyone thinks that you and I are having a sleep over in my room," Jean said
"Really, wow, thank Jean," Kitty said
"You really want to thank me, you'll keep your promise and tell me what's going on, and I want to whole story," Jean said
Kitty nodded, "That sounds fair," she said
"Alright then, come on. I brought some of your pajamas to my room," Jean said
Kitty nodded and gave Jean a smile that she's never seen before, "Thanks Jean," she said as she entered Jean's room.
Jean smiled, "No problem," she said, because it wasn't, Jean may not know who this Peter guy is and she may not know the history that Kitty has with him, but she does know is that he is the reason for Kitty to have that smile on her face. So as long as Kitty keeps smiling like that then Jean will keep this secret.
