A Day With Uncle

Chapter 2: Cotton Candy (BONUS)

Notes:

So I saw a comment on a Spatziline video talking about this. I was kind of surprised that it managed to hit the YT lore. It was kind of bonkers to think about.

So enjoy this quick DamiAnya one-shot just for the gags!

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

These past few days Damian has been getting a bit creeped out thinking about that one encounter he had with Anya's uncle.

What's wilder was that Yuri was aware of Desmond's position even before he confronted Damian. But his position did not faze him. But since he was the son of a high ranking official, he had to let it go. Then again, Damian was just a kid.

But little Damian was very lucky he could get away with it. He was kind of concerned that his goons bailed out on him during their confrontation, but who is he to blame when Yuri was scary? He had no right to get angry at them for bailing on them anyway! If he was scared, they were scared.

Now, Damian was walking through the halls with Ewen and Emile, who were on their way to the cafeteria. They were talking about this specific football game that was about to take place in a few days. Quite a big match, actually.

Then, they found themselves standing in front of Anya and Becky, who just came from the bathroom.

What Damian forgot was that Anya was willing to stop her uncle from hurting him. He dodged a big one just because of Anya's intervention.

Surely he should be thankful, right?

"Oh, it's you three." Blackbell decided to escalate some things.

'Sy-on Boy!' Anya thought, surprised by his presence.

"Ugh, what did we even do?" Damian began. "We're just skimming past you losers. What's the big deal?"

"Oh, want to play it tough now, huh? Remember what happened last time?"

Damian and his goons froze. They were obviously traumatized from what happened that day. Yuri was extremely scary to these kids, they left a scar on their mental state.

"Ugh, whatever!"

"Oh ho, you should've seen the look on your face! You're lucky Anya's uncle didn't go through with his plan. You should be thankful that Anya saved you from his wrath!"

"D-Don't you start! And plus, I-I've already thanked Stubby Legs for saving us!"

Then, Anya suddenly had her iconic face, as he began to poke fun of Damian.

"Heh, poor little Sy-on Boy, scared of Uncle..." Anya teased her classmate.

Damian was both livid and embarrassed.

"Oh shut it! Be darn grateful that I haven't been treating you like commoner trash this past week! Quit your arrogance! Y-You little cotton candy shorty!"

Awkward silence then began to fill the hall.

Anya wasn't in tears, but was straight up confused. Was it even an insult?

To him it's an insult, to others, it was a compliment? Even Ewen and Emile were confused on what was just said.

"Did...you just call Anya 'cotton candy'?" Becky began to smirk over what little Desmond said. "Oh, Desmond! How bold could you be!? Anya, he just called you cotton candy! Doesn't that mean he's calling you sweet!?"

Damian's heart exploded into oblivion. Obviously he hasn't learnt his lesson over insulting Anya. But now, he turned into being a tsundere? Cotton candy shorty? That's both an insult and a compliment!

"S-Sy-on boy! Anya is...is sweet!?" Anya's eyes lit up over what Damian yelled out. "Ehe! That's a cool com-ply-men for me, Sy-on Boy!"

She gave a smile that was as bright as the sun, making Damian's heart pump up more. It was beating as fast as an F1 car!

He couldn't believe what he just said. His cheeks were about to explode. He just wanted to run away at this point.

"Y-Y-Y..." Damian began to stutter, while Ewen, Emile, Becky, and Anya were waiting for a reply.

"Y-You're not sweet! Y-Y...You're bitter! And it's not com-ply-men, it's compliment!"

'BITTER!?' Anya thought, which made her feel a bit angry and a bit shocked.

"Gosh darn it!" Damian yelled out as he ran away in embarrassment. He couldn't believe what he just said.

"Boss-man!" Ewen and Emile both yelled out for his name, as Damian both gave them concern.

"Oh boo hoo, there goes his Tsundere filter yet again." Becky kept adding salt to the wound, which didn't help.

Damian went to the bathroom and looked at the mirror. That smile sent him to the sky. It metaphorically put an arrow to his heart at this point.

"Cotton...candy..." He said to himself, before washing his face, trying to process what he just said.

The words 'cotton candy' was what was on his mind for the rest of the day. Everytime he looked at Anya, all he could think of was those two words, and he even imagined her hair as cotton candy at one point.

As typical six year olds, he was a mess at the word 'love'.

Which is something that we can't blame him for, obviously.
