Chapter Text

Viewer feels bad for labeling Julie as someone draining to be around, she clearly didn't know Wally yet.

"I never knew you could be so creative, roomie!"

Wally was standing on his stool facing one of the walls as he painted a checker board pattern with the an occasional flower evenly spread apart from one another, this has been the only time where he wasn't so demanding of her attention, too busy trying to get each square even instead of using tape like she was.

"You didn't seem like one to like pink so much, I surely thought there would be more red." He hummed as he painted another flower.

Viewer's shoulders sagged slightly in response, not that he saw it, she had at some point given up fighting Wally and numbly started picking out things for her room. She worried she might have made it too tacky with her lack of judgement at the time, her only hope is for the two walls that are gonna be left plain will even it out.

"Oops! I accidentally ate the tip of my paintbrush!"

Wally abruptly announced, looking at his paintbrush sadly.

"Huh? You did what now?!" Viewer stood straight again, shocked at the shear chance that Wally could have eaten his paintbrush by mistake.

"I guess this means we should take a break, I've starting to feel a little peckish." Wally mumbled, he placed his tools down on the stool he was just standing on after getting down.

Placing his hands on his hips he took a good couple steps back to admire his work, he seemed content, especially so after receiving a small creak from home.

"Thank you, home!" He happily responded.

Viewer wondered if she would eventually pick up on Home's creaks and thuds too, the thought of relying on Wally for every sound this living house makes doesn't seem that appealing to Viewer. She places her wet paintbrushes on the new desk they got at Howdy's store, uncaring if the paint still remaining on them will stain the wood.

As Wally made his way to the kitchen, viewer followed not that close behind.

"Apples seem like the perfect snack between work, don't you think so too Viewer? Of course, I know home does." He rambled mindlessly, lifting up a apple to admire it?

Viewer walks into the kitchen as he does, she has never seen Wally eat, at least she doesn't think so.

"Viewer, don't you feel lonely without your brother? How about we invite him to live with us next?" Wally quickly turned to Viewer, excitement in his eyes. "Would that be ok with you home? you don't have to agree of course, just a request from little old me,"

As Home responded things slowly started clicking in viewers head, while this information could of meant anything, for viewer it meant utter frustration. Wally lives in a living home, living home can't speak, but he can understand it perfectly. Surely he should of understood some of what Viewer was trying to get across in the beginning.

"Wally you little-"

"You don't exactly have to eat though viewer, right?" Wally questioned, a bite already missing from his apple.

"When did he take a bite?"

"It's nothing to be shamed about roomie! Here look at me and how I eat." He waved his hand at viewer as though she wasn't paying attention which ticked her off a little but quickly calming her nerves she went back to the main task of what was requested from Wally.

At first she didn't know what to expect, maybe he liked to bite apples differently from others, something like that.

He stared at the apple before blinking, his eyes remained close for a second before opening back up, a happy smile on his face and another bite missing from the apple.

"It's ok to be different, we're a lot alike-" looking up to meet viewer's lens Wally was a little stunned to see her gone, she was across the room in fact, really backed up into a corner, completely calm.

Not really.

"Viewer, what are you doing all the way over there?" Tilting his head, he tried to make sense of the situation. "You must have wanted a better view! I've heard Sally say when it came to photography further you are, better the sight," Wally concluded, sounding proud of himself.

Composing herself Viewer gave a stiff nod, ignoring how Wally compared her to a normal camera.

Wally quickly went back to his cheery mood as he continued with his snack, his glances at Viewer fueling her fear.

"By the way Viewer, don't ever enter the basement,"

He said it so dismissively Viewer almost didn't take note of it until a second later after Wally went to throw away the core of the apple.

"Basement? This place has a basement?" Viewer's sight wandered, taking more notice of the grown.

"What person needs this much space?" Straightening up, Viewer started to truly walk around and explore the place she would be calling her new home at least until she can come up with a good enough excuse to leave one day.

Walking down the halls she took note of the framed photos she passed, each image containing the familiar face of the neighbors, all so happy. She doesn't understand why pink and her were the only ones who didn't take a liking to Wally like everyone else.

Wally has been gone for too long, he would have surely notice your absence and hurry to drag you back...you should go back.

The first door was a bathroom, simple enough. Viewer liked the little stickers on the mirror, more specifically the ones that had jiggly eyes that seemed to follow her. She shut the door.

The next one her's, nothing note worthy in her opinion, not much is in there yet. She starts hearing upstairs, ignoring the extra door she passed.

Two doors, she was sure one was just another guest room. Opening the closest door she found that it wasn't Wally's room like she expected but not a guest room either, it was empty, and dusty. She closes the door with slight disappointment before moving onto the next.

It was the last door left, easy enough to know who if belonged to, she opened it up. Wally's room was quite simple but colorful nonetheless, the walls being one solid color while the furniture had different parts of it colored different colors. It gave a cheery feeling.

Viewer ignored the stain on Wally's bed, having heard more than enough about Wally sleeping on a cake once.

"What was a waste," Viewer thought, she can't eat but she still hates the waste of food, where did she get that kind of thinking from anyways?

Not wanting to seem like she was snooping she turned to make her leave before noticeing a bright envelope on Wally's mirror dresser- she cannot remember what they're called. Walking over she gently lifted it off the dresser, also ignoring the amount of hairspray bottles on it.

Once noticing that it wasn't sealed she slowly opened it to take a look inside, curious of its content, it was a paper- obviously. Wrinkled and covered in paint, it looked to be water damaged but not to badly at least.

"Julie?" Viewer was surprised to make out what seems to be a image of Julie and her siblings, covered in paint but still easy to point out.

A creak was heard behind her, startling her for a moment as she tried to quickly put the wrinkled paper back into the envelope, her gut sinking the longer it takes.

Her form relaxes as she got it back in and closed upon the dresser. She turns to leave before freezing in her place.

"Neighbor, what are you doing?" Wally asked, tilting his head curiously.

Seeing Wally in his room didn't freak out Viewer, it's his right to enter his room as he pleases but maybe if he was at the door instead of the middle of the room she would be more relaxed.

"When did he get in here?" Her world started to lightly spin, the sudden change in atmosphere causing her brain to freeze up and not notice the change in nickname Wally has been referring her to.

He continued standing there unmoving with his hands neatly clasped in front of him, his smile still on his face, his eyes were the real issue they looked as though he was about to murder someone.

"Neighbor, how about we leave the room?" He asked, voice still holding the same calm tone.

He moved forward, the first step causing a terrified feeling to rush through Viewer, he didn't sound mad. Viewer can't wrap her head around what is scaring her so much that every alarm in her head is going off, telling her to run! Run!

His eyes look mad but he isn't mad, surely not with that smile and calm voice.

Wally quickly placed a hand on her shoulder and the other on her arm, any distance that was there before being completely gone, he started to lead her out.

Her legs were weak, utter terror filling her very being but along with it came a numbness and the familiar feeling of warmth that comes from the light.

"Ah, I knew they would be coming soon." Wally said, sounding quite happy as he stopped right on front of the stairs, stopping Viewer too.

She wanted to get away from the stairs, the feeling of slipping away was also making her lose trust in her balance, then the second wave of fuzziness came, making her lose the grasp of fear that was keeping her in the wakeful world.

After all, what is there to worry about?

Notes:

It's exam week for me, that doesn't mean much since I just study before the test to refresh then I'm fine. Soon this ability will slip through my fingers and I would be left helpless as I don't know how to properly study.

Notes:

I have such a way with words(I really don't) but there it is people, be disappointed!
