Chapter Text
Andy had only spoken a little since they returned to Quynh's flat. They helped each other get out of their clothes before going to bed. When Andy woke, she remembered everything, and the urge to move to the Himalayas returned.
"Morning," Quynh said. "Sleep well?"
"Not really," Andy replied as she sat up. "I better get going."
Quynh placed a hand on Andy's shoulder.
"Please stay," Quynh said. "My bed is big enough for us both, and I would love to spend the morning with you in it."
"I don't deserve that," Andy replied. "Not after what I did yesterday."
"Yes, you should have told me that you don't know how to roller skate, but I don't blame you at all for what happened," Quynh said. "One day, we'll laugh at it."
"You shouldn't be so nice to someone who put you in the hospital," Andy replied. "And I also lied to you..."
Quynh cut Andy off with a kiss.
"Ok, listen to me," Quynh said. "It wasn't you who knocked the air out of me. It was some kid who didn't see where he was roller skating when you made your move. He was sorry for it all."
"If I didn't hit you," Andy said. "Who did I hit?"
Quynh laughed as she took her phone. After some searching, Quynh showed Andy a picture of one of the pillars covered in foam.
"Expect to be sued by that pillar," Quynh joked. It made Andy smile. "But let me make it very clear. If you lie to me in the future, I'll end our relationship. Oh, wait. Let me rephrase it: you can lie when it's Christmas or my birthday. Got it?"
"Yes, got it," Andy replied. "It won't happen again. I have learned my lesson."
It knocked on the front door.
"Just to be sure you have learned your lesson," Quynh smirked. "I have come up with a punishment."
"Wait, what?" Andy asked. "I thought a broken arm was a punishment in itself."
Quynh left the bedroom with a mischievous smile. It didn't take long before she returned with their French friend.
"Are you alive?" Booker asked. "Are you in pain?"
"Seriously?" Andy asked as she looked at Quyhn. "Him as a punishment."
Quynh crawled back under the duvet just as Booker grabbed Andy's head.
"How many fingers do you see?" Booker asked as he held up a couple of fingers in front of Andy's face. "I better make you some soup. And I'll feed you."
"No way am I eating your food," Andy protested. "Me and my stomach haven't forgotten your Chocolate Duck Cassoulet with Thyme."
"You're delirious," Booker said. "But don't worry. I'll take good care of you."
Andy looked at Quynh, who tried not to laugh. In a couple of minutes, Quynh would save Andy from Booker's care, but right now, it was hilarious to watch Booker take care of Andy.
