The Hogwarts Express is bursting with life children excited to see the parents and teens excited for 3 months of freedom but no one is more excited than the marauders.
“Wormtail, My love moony, and the one and only prongs!” Sirius proclaims as he enters the train cart smiling and looking at his friends.
“Sirius, where have you been? What are you smiling for-” Remus's questions are cut off by Sirius quickly pressing his lips to Remus, Sirius pulling away and turning to smile at James and Peter.
“Im smiling because Summer is here my dearest marauders and it is not ready for us but the better question is… ARE YOU READY FOR SUMMER!!!” The rest of the marauders are cheering for the summer or maybe Sirius's antics. Sirius sits down against the window with his feet on Remus's lap.
“Alright so Petey is spending the week with his aunt in Sheffield,” James says while trying to remember where his friends are going after landing at Kings Cross.
“Remus is starting his summer internship and abandoning us all.” James said as he stabbed his heart with a pretend knife and fell over into Peter at Remus’s ‘abandonment’
“Sirius will be home with me and finally all of us reunited again in a week.” he pause to look down at his watch and then back up at his friends.
“ and eight hours!” the marauders all fall into casual chatting and soon they are in London standing on platform nine and three-quarters. Saying their goodbyes to their classmates they all regroup for the last time
“Im going to miss you guys.” Peter sniffles a little teary eyed
“Aww it will be alright Petey it's not like we aren't going to ever see you again,” James said smiling
“Yeah and if that were true then Sirius would also be crying,” Remus added with a laugh as Sirius started to argue that they all would be crying. Soon James and Sirius had been called away to the floo. Peter’s aunt was impatient of the boy and they had left too soon. Finally, Remus would leave the station for what would feel like the first time.
