"We got pupil dilation!" a paramedic called while they shined a flashlight into Izumi's eyes. Rody tried to step in, tried to run to his wife, but he was being held back by Aizawa and Shoto. The paramedics already got Izumi on the stretcher and strapped her down. She wasn't alone either as Hitoshi was also in this comatose state and put in another stretcher where he would be transferred to another hospital. When Izumi was in Rody almost went for the ambulance, his wife needed him!

The press was there, the fucking vermin, taking pictures of the wreckage while a live feed from a helicopter above was being shown. It took all of Rody's willpower not to flip that stupid camera off.

But a tiny hand tugging on the back of his shirt stopped him. He turned and looked at Hitomi. Her cheeks tear-stained as she shook against Rody's back. Her nose had a small streak of blood run down it showing that she still wasn't fully recovered from her run in with Chinami earlier. Hitomi pressed herself against his back and started to cry. It was like a flip was switched as Rody went from worried for Izumi to comforting Hitomi.

"Is mommy going to be okay?" Hitomi asked while she quivered in place. "Is my other daddy going to be okay?"

Rody sighed before he patted her purple locks. "Your mother is a fighter, she's going to do everything she can to come back to you, sweetie. As for Hitoshi…" Rody was biting his tongue. The green eyed monster wished for Hitoshi Shinsou to just vanish at this point, but that wasn't going to happen. "I'm sure they'll both recover…together…" He muttered the last line while looking away from Hitomi.

'-She settled for you.' Rody shook his head trying to get the remains of Chinami out of his mind. He didn't want to believe the murderous psychopath-

His eyes trailed to Chinami now, the boy had been sedated by someone and was now currently being put under lock and key with anti-quirk chains and was probably even being put on anti-quirk meds as they spoke. He had a couple of shiny black eyes and his face looked burnt in various places with angry clear blisters making themselves known.

Then Rody looked back at Hitomi. "Now-" Rody pulled his sleeve up and over his hand, thankful he was wearing a long sleeved shirt today and he pressed the sleeve against Hitomi's nose. "-Why'd you use your quirk?"

"Because…Mommy needed saving." Hitomi said it was the most obvious thing in the world and at that moment she looked more like Izumi than she did Hitoshi. Rody couldn't stop himself from smiling a smile that faded just as quickly as it came.

'... The quirk that wasn't hers. Seven quirks and one body. She never mentioned it once…but Hitoshi knew all about it. I'm thankful he did otherwise we may have lost Izumi but… at the same time I can't help but feel… betrayed. I'm her husband! Even if I wasn't the first to know she should have told me!'

Rody's emotions felt all over the place. Still as much as he was hurting, as much as he wanted to curse and yell, he just wanted one thing. To make sure his wife was actually going to be okay.

Hitoshi's throat was dry as he looked at the vestiges before him. After all of these years Hitoshi was face to face with Toshinori Yagi once again. Hitoshi looked at all of the vestiges one by one. He's only ever heard their voices in his head and never thought he'd see them face to face.

The leader, Yoichi, if Hitoshi remembered correctly, stood from his throne and then bowed. Once he bowed the others followed. "We apologize. When Trigger entered Izumi it caused all of us to go crazy. We wanted to thank you, because of you Izumi will most likely live to see another day."

Hitoshi looked at everyone with a bit of shock. This wasn't the outcome he expected at all. The eight of them continued to bow for several seconds before one by one they straightened up. "I wish I could say you can now run off into the sunset and everything is perfectly okay again, but unfortunately there's one more thing we need from you." Yoichi approached Hitoshi almost delicately. His hands were pressed together nervously as he tapped his fingers in rhythm with one another. "It's Izumi. She's… locked herself away."

"Locked herself away?" Hitoshi asked and Yoichi nodded before he grabbed Hitoshi by the arm and started to lead him away from the throne room. In the blink of an eye Hitoshi was in front of a door and feeling slightly dizzy.

"Yes. This is her door. Her soul room so to speak." Yoichi showed Hitoshi the door. The door was just that, a door with the number nine on it. The door itself had green electricity coiling around the border. "She won't let us in. We've all tried but it's locked tight. So, we've brought you here to see if maybe…she'll open the door for you." Yoichi explained softly.

Hitoshi reached for the knob and a lick of green lightning zapped his hand. Quickly he pulled back in alarm and just stared at the door. Then he frowned before bristling. "Oh no you don't, Kitten." He growled before he reached for the door again several green coils of lightning shot out again and tried to dissuade him from opening the door by zapping him. Hitoshi pushed past the initial shock and pushed the door wide open. For a moment he was staring at a void. There was nothing as the green lightning died down from around the doorframe. Hitoshi leaned in but didn't step inside-

Two hands pushed against his back. There was nothing he could do as his balance was lost and he free fell into the void. He saw something coming up and fast.

"Wai-" He tried to cry but instead of crashing and dying like he thought he would do he instead floated safely to the ground. "What the fuck…" Hitoshi whispered cautiously while looking around quickly to see just where he landed.

"-You won't get away with this."

Izumi's voice made Hitoshi turn towards an open door. Hitoshi's heart suddenly leapt into his throat as he stared into the open doorway. He could see Izumi sitting on the bed, a blanket wrapped tightly around her body. She looked younger.

"Oh really?-" Hitoshi's eyes widened as his shoulders tensed. He knew that voice anywhere. It was Fujiwara's voice. "Let me guess, you're going to run to your superhero teachers and tell them what I did? How I forced myself on you? Pretended to care for that fatty of a mother you got?"

This was the night. The night the assault happened. The night that changed everything. The night that Izumi had playing in her mind over and over again. Hitoshi's mouth twisted into a snarl. He didn't even think twice about it when he took the baton out of his boot and basically kicked the door open. This was the last thing Izumi needed to think about right now!

The scene wasn't disrupted as Hitoshi cut his baton through Fujiwara, yes, through. It cut through the man like he was made of butter and he dissipated-

The floor vanished below Hitoshi as he was suddenly weightless. "Gah-" A scream erupted from his throat as he fell. Hitoshi did a full flip as he free fell yet again. "It's giving…'curiouser and curiouser.' vibes." He muttered as he looked at the void that was showing scenes from Izumi's life. Scenes where Hitoshi was there for her. He watched as memories of the hotel where they stayed were replayed. Memories he forgot like playing chicken in the hotel pool, and Mmmories he couldn't forget like and Izumi slow dancing at prom and finally sharing a kiss that didn't contain One for All's DNA.

Scenes that started to change from Hitoshi to Rody…

"Oof!" Hitoshi fell to the ground none-to-gently with a gasp. He looked up in alarm. He was…back in front of Izumi's home in Otheon, only it was different. The lawn was over groan and there was a 'for sale' sign in the yard.

"Are you sure about this place?" Rody asked as he walked through Hitoshi. He then looked back at Hitoshi- no- through Hitoshi.

"Not for nothing Rody but your trailer is gonna be a little small hosting four people and a baby." Izumi said as she also walked through Hitoshi. She had a hand on her baby bump and if Hitoshi had to guess he would guess she was…five months along?

"I know that." Rody huffed a little. "It's just, are you sure about here?"

"Why not? It's a good neighborhood, the school is less than five blocks from here so the kids could walk if they wanted to, and there's a playground literally up the road."

"Yeah but…" Rody rubbed the back of his head. "It's just…area's like this is where I once lived and…the last thing I want is for people to turn on us like that again…"

Izumi's eyes softened as she rested her head on his shoulder and pulled him into a hug. "They wouldn't dare." She whispered to Rody.

"Still…I guess as homes go…it really beats the trailer." Rody smiled at her. "Our first home as roommates!"

"Our first home as roommates." Izumi repeated while Pino fluttered around her, chirping happily. Still, Hitoshi noted how Izumi's mouth twisted down harshly and suddenly like she was going to cry, but she quickly corrected herself before it was noticed.

"Izum-" Hitoshi reached out for her but like last time the floor gave way. "Wait!" He tried to reach for her but she was out of his reach. This fall was shorter than the last lasting only seconds and this time he managed to engage the float so he wouldn't land on his face. "Whe-" He popped up to look around frantically. He looked like he was in a hospital-

-The scream that cut through the air was loud. It made him turn in alarm as he knew Izumi's scream. The scream was coming from the door right next to him and he turned to look inside. Izumi was giving birth, she was gripping the sides of the hospital bed and the bars were bent from her sheer strength alone. There were no coils of electricity around her telling Hitoshi that they probably put her on supprestants.

"Breathe! Breathe!" A doctor, or nurse was telling Izumi.

Izumi's face was plastered with sweat causing her curls to stick to her face. She panted heavily as tears ran down her face but Hitoshi was unsure if these were tears of pain or tears of anger because of what she said next. "I am fucking breathing!" She roared at the doctor. "Fuck!" Izumi threw her head back. It seemed the baby wasn't going to come out just yet. Rody was standing beside Izumi and gently brought some water to her lips while he patted her hand.

"We got about twenty seconds-" The nurse started to say but Izumi was back up with another cry of pain.

"Like hell!" The scream echoed through the room as another contraction hit Izumi hard.

The wet splattering that followed made Hitoshi turn cold while he saw blood starting to fall to the ground. "That's not good…" The doctor whispered.

"What?! What's wrong!?" Izumi yelled through her panting.

"We got some bleeding, but right now we just need you to focus on pushing!" The doctor instructed and Izumi would do just that. She would push and the blood just didn't stop if anything it started to increase as the floor began to look like a crime scene.

While Rody stayed near Izumi's head, patting her hair, giving her water, and whatnot, he started to look sickly as he could see and hear the blood hitting the ground. Izumi started to turn pallid as her screams died down and her eyes began to roll.

"It's a girl!" The doctor called as the baby was finally out. Izumi gave a wavering smile before finally losing consciousness- "Get the baby cleaned up, we need to get her to the ER-"

Hitoshi wasn't even aware that he had stepped towards Izumi. It wasn't until he tried to touch her did he remember that he wasn't here. When he tried to touch her sweaty and pale face he phased right through her-

The world changed again once Izumi was wheeled away-

This must have been a day or two after as they were still in the hospital, in a different room, she and Rody spoke.

"I signed Hitomi's birth certificate." Rody explained while Izumi raised newborn Hitomi up to her chest.

"You didn't have to do that- Rody." Izumi frowned while she turned annoyed when Rody turned his back to her, not out of maliciousness but more out of respect when Izumi started to breastfeed the baby.

"Yeah well, I wanted to, so there. It's done and this way if anything happens to you…she'll always have a home with me." Rody waved his fingers in her direction while still keeping his back turned.

"I just don't want to force you into a role you may not be comfortable with having." Izumi argued.

"You're not forcing me. I'm doing it for the baby, besides we'll just make it clear to her when she's walking and talking that I'm not her actual dad. This way there's no confusion. I'm just the man who'll raise her if something goes south. Absolutely not her father and she'll know that."

Hitoshi exhaled some noise from his nose while looking at Rody. "... So…she was right." He realized as he remembered the argument he and Izumi had just a day prior. Rody signed the birth certificate because he thought Izumi was going to die and they were actually going to tell Hitomi the truth but… it just all got muddled after a while. Things changed- feelings changed- and It became easier to hide the truth than to tell it.

Well, Hitoshi would get his answer when the scene changed before his eyes. A scene that made him jump. First he was looking at Izumi, who was quietly cleaning up baby toys. When the door would be kicked open.

"I'm a father!" Rody declared proudly as he held baby Hitomi up. Hitomi, who couldn't be older than one, was in a onesie and had a pacifier in her mouth. When Rody held her up Hitomi let out a happy squeal while kicking her legs and moving her arms.

"What is wrong with you!? That's my child!" Izumi yelled in shock as her voice quivered like she was afraid for Rody's mental health.

"Not anymore!" Rody declared. "This is my child also!" Hitomi looked up at Rody before kicking her tiny feet again in joy.

"Did you hit your head?" Izumi could only ask while she looked at the red-headed man.

"No but you will! On the ceiling when I tell you she walked to me!"

"She walked!" Izumi jumped from where she was on her bed in surprise.

"Yeah she walked! To me!" Rody declared and Izumi clapped her hands happily.

"That's amazing!"

Then…they were gone. The scene evaporated into dust. The room darkened as the outside went from bright day to night. There, on the bed, Izumi sat dressed in her hero costume. Her feet on the edge of the bed and her knees pressed against her chest and her arms wrapped around her legs. There was a silence between the two of them.

"I will always love you…" Izumi whispered but was unable to look at him. He leaned against her. "Always…" She sniffled. "You'll always be my best friend."

"...But?"

"...I love Rody too. Roro and Lala are my children, the same as Hitomi. Rody has done things that most men wouldn't ever think of doing. He loves Hitomi like she's his own daughter…" A shuddering breath left Izumi's mouth before she sniffled and wiped her eyes on her knees. "When I first moved to Otheon, I held onto the prayer that you would figure out what happened and sweep me away but… now…" Another shuddering breath. "I can't fathom the idea." She finally looked at Hitoshi with wet eyes. "I thought hearing you say 'I love you' again after all of these years would be what I wanted but…"

Hitoshi sighed as he pressed his head against her shoulder. "You'll always be my best friend too." He whispered to her. "I'll always love you… but more than anything, 'Zu? I just wanted closure… let's face it. We both wanted closure after all of these years." Hitoshi ran his fingers through her hair. "It's like I said: You'll always be my friend and I'll always love you but…I can never forgive you for what you did."

Izumi nodded tearfully. "I know and I know I deserve it."

"I think…I have to break up with you."

Izumi looked at him, her brows knit in confusion and her mouth turned in a frown. "I- Uh- what?"

"Well, you cheated on me, you know? We never broke up so…I'm breaking up with you." Hitoshi said as he sighed almost happily knowing he was facetious. Izumi snorted and gave him a playful shove.

They looked at one another and Hitoshi grabbed her hand. He then gently caressed it. "Now what?" He asked and she smiled.

"Now… we go back to the world of living and figure out our next steps."

"..." Hitoshi wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into a hug. Finally, closure. "You know I'm still gonna be in your life right?"

"I do and I expect nothing less…" Izumi looked at him and he looked at her. Then she vanished before his eyes. "See you in the land of the living." Her voice echoed around the area and made him smile.

'Closure may come in a way you least expect.' Nedzu's words repeated in Hitoshi's mind and he looked down before sucking in a deep breath and wiping his eyes. It wasn't perfect… but it was a start.

When Izumi awoke it was the dead of the night and inside of a hospital. 'I thought my days of waking up in a hospital bed were over.' She thought with a bit of humor. Still she shifted and looked around. The room was quiet and private meaning she had no roommates- well… she had one.

Her eyes softened when she saw Rody curled up by the window. Her lanky husband was in an uncomfortable position that was going to leave him sore. His neck was down, his back propped against a wall, arms crossed, and knees pressed to his chest.

Izumi looked for the nearest and smallest item. She found a pen and without hesitation she threw it.

Rody's eyes snapped open when the pen made contact with his head. A deep breath sucked out of him. He looked around in alarm only to realize it was Izumi. "Izumi!" and he was on his feet in an instant. It was like watching a newborn calf learn to walk as his legs were buckling before he made it to her bedside. "You're okay! You're alive!"

"I am." She whispered to him and the two of them embraced. Rody let out several soft breaths and Pino, who had been hidden on his person, popped out and gave Izumi several face kisses. Rody's breath started to shake before he collapsed to his knees and just let out several uneven breaths.

"I thought-... I was so worried." He whispered as he allowed himself to be vulnerable in front of Izumi. "I thought you were going to die…"

"I know. I…It got dicey… but…" She pulled on her earlobe. "I'm sorry." She then turned away from him with her head down low. Rody pulled her chin towards him, making her look at him.

"What exactly is going on, Izumi? Why did you have to give Hitoshi your quirk- why didn't you tell me your quirk works like that? Why didn't you tell me you have seven quirks?" He demanded and Izumi sighed.

"Truthfully?...I wasn't sure if you'd believe me…" She admitted fully to him. "It's not exactly easy to explain that my quirk was handed down to me and I'm the ninth holder."

"Ninth?" He repeated with a raised eyebrow unsure if he heard her right.

She nodded. "It's…really a long story." She rubbed at her eyes with both of her hands. Rody looked at her and then pulled away from her.

"Izumi… be honest with me." Then they looked into one another's eyes. "Do you even love me?"

Izumi felt aghast at the question- before she realized maybe she hadn't exactly been the best partner as of late. "Of course I do-"

"But not enough to tell me about such a quirk. Not enough to tell me that you were raped and not bring it up like an after thought. Not enough to get off of birth control after three years of marriage? Oh-" Rody reached into his pants pocket and flashed a familiar picture towards Izumi. "-And not enough to get rid of your old love letters towards Hitoshi."

Izumi looked down out of shame. "...I do love you."

"Prove it." Rody demanded firmly. "Because I won't lie…I really am having a hard time seeing it from where I'm standing."

Izumi pulled her legs up and looked at him, then she grabbed his hand. "While I can't prove it in words. I can prove it in action. Let's get couples counseling." She said almost boldly. "There's issues on both sides but I feel like…I feel like we can both fix them if we just did the reasonable thing in the start…" She whispered.

Rody looked at her with a leveled stare before bowing his head. "We…could try. But.. I want boundaries. Boundaries I should have put up a while ago."

"Okay. Like what?"

"While I don't mind you keeping pictures of your friends, pictures like this-" He once again flashed the picture of Izumi and Hitoshi. "-Have to go."

"That's fair. I can do that."

"Good. I'm sure I can think of more but that's all for now…" Rody ran his fingers through his hair and then sat back down on the ground. "... Now I guess there's another matter. Hitoshi. What's going to happen?"

"I don't know. He wants to know Hitomi. He'll probably want some visitation, but the details haven't been fully discussed."

Rody looked at the wall. "I guess that's a conversation for another time then…" and he rested his head against her bed. "I…I really am glad you're okay, Izumi…" He told her after a few moments.

"I know. I'm glad you're okay too." Izumi smiled at him and ran her fingers through his hair. "I really do love you, Rody. Even if it might not seem like it."

"..." He leaned into her touch. "And I love you."

"I know you do. That's the thing, you've more than proved it." The silence was comfortable between the two of them and then Rody looked up at her. "We're going to get past this, I know we will." She told him.

"Yeah… I know we will as well."

While her mother was still in the hospital Hitomi got to speak with Hitoshi. The two of them were eating Ice cream at a shop near the hospital. Hitomi was eating her favorite moose-tracks while Hitoshi was eating his favorite Mint chocolate chip. They both got a waffle cone and were now sitting outside.

"Otheon is hot." Hitoshi grumbled as his ice cream was already starting to melt. This place was hot. He didn't know how Izumi survived for ten years.

"Yeah, it's always hot." Hitomi hummed as she took a lick of her ice cream.

"Well in Japan it always rains." Hitoshi informed her.

"Really?"

"Just about. It rains a lot in Japan."

"Hm…" Hitomi didn't really know how to continue a conversation with this other daddy of hers. Well, she didn't have to because he continued the conversation.

"So, you don't like cats?"

Hitomi shook her head while scrunching her nose up. "I mean I guess they're okay but I really like dogs! That's why I love Pork!"

"Dogs… I guess I can work with that." He mumbled a little as he thought about it.

"Huh?"

"Nothing. Don't worry about it. Any breed you like?"

Hitomi's eyes sparkled; She finally gets to speak about her favorite dog breed? She swallowed her ice cream quickly and kicked her legs. "Collies! I love border collies mostly! I tried to ask daddy and mommy if we could get one but they said that the back yard wasn't big enough for such a big dog."

"Border Collies aren't big-"

"That's what I said! I said it's not like I was asking for a Saint Bernard or a Great Dane! But Mommy explained that Border Collies are too energetic and that's what they meant. Didn't stop me from trying to explain in a powerpoint why we should have one."

"And?"

"They still said no only this time Mom had to turn away because she was laughing."

This made Hitoshi smile. "Better luck next time, yeah?"

"What about you?" Hitomi kicked her legs as she started to eat her cone. "Did you try a powerpoint to get a pet? What were your parents like?"

Hitoshi suddenly frowned before he patted her head. "I don't think you're ready to hear about my family just yet." He told her and that made her confused. "But I can tell you about the time I snuck a cat into the dorms at UA and your mother helped me care for them. His name was Zeus…"

"They've been talking for a long time." Hitomi observed as she looked in the backyard. She, Roro, and Lala were helping by putting trash bags over the broken windows of their home. Izumi, Bakugo, Hitoshi, and Rody were all talking to one another. They've been talking.

"Hold this up for me?" Aizawa asked as he brought Hitomi's attention back to the task at hand. Hitomi held the trash bag up to its fullest extent where Aizawa stapled it to the wall blocking off the busted window.

"You all are doing wonderfully!" Nedzu declared from the table where he sat in a chair with Pork in his lap.

"You could help you know." Monoma scoffed as he stapled a trashbag to the broken window.

"Nonsense! I'm small! No good in helping when you all are much taller than me!"

Roro scoffed, "Yeah, that sounds about right." He then smiled while he backed away and looked at the busted front windows that were now covered. "It's crazy that mom managed to do this. It's not just our house but the neighbor's house as well."

"Ribbit! You should have seen her in high school!" Tsu stuck herself to the wall as she quickly made sure the bags were stapled all along the top to prevent bugs from getting through. "When she had little control over her quirk she had done a lot of damage…mainly to herself but the point stands."

"I believe it." Roro nodded and Tsu hopped down once her job was done.

Well it wouldn't be too much longer when the others would finally join them by emerging from the backyard.

Rody walked up to them first and sighed when he saw the windows and then at the living room in general. The whole house was a mess, not just from the shattered glass still in the carpet but also from when the windows shattered from the wind pressure it caused the wind to come into the house and knock everything that wasn't bolted down all over the place. So their living room still had a bunch of cleaning to do.

There was a loud crack under his shoe that made him take a step back. He leaned down and picked up the picture he had stepped on. "So that's where that one had gone." He mumbled. "At least it's just the frame that's busted. The picture can be saved." He then turned the busted frame around and took the picture out quickly. It was a picture of their wedding day. As he mentioned the picture was fine, which was good they would just have to buy a new frame.

"So… we have news." Izumi came up beside Rody and patted his shoulder. "We've decided due to circumstances we're going to move from Otheon."

Roro and Lala looked at one another with a sort of knowing and understanding on their faces. Hitomi frowned. "Where?" She was the one to ask. "To Klyad?"

"Uh…no, actually." Izumi rubbed the back of her head. Hitomi noted how her mothers tongue was black like she's been eating a hard candy. The only thing is that it's been black for days. "You see sweetie now that I don't need to hide anymore and because of all that's happened here…It's been decided that we're going to move back to Japan. There are so many people that want to meet you and your siblings, not only that but we can get you better training on your quirk in Japan."

"Oh…" Hitomi was unsure how she felt about this. This meant leaving behind her friends in school- not that she had many to be completely honest with herself- but at the same time this was a new adventure right? It sounded exciting.

"We're not leaving straight away, it'll still be a year at the latest-" Izumi started to clean up the glass on the floor by sweeping. "We- Rody and I- need to look for housing, need to put away some savings so when we leave we won't have issues and uh…clean up the house so it can be sold. So we have some time but we're giving you guys a heads up. We know, Roro, that you're getting close to college. If you wish to stay in Otheon to attend then we won't stop you and will still help pay." She continued to explain. "We'll just have to look into boarding and… yeah." Still, her mother smiled despite the air around her becoming slightly sad.

"I won't lie…" She looked at the ceiling. "I am going to miss this house…"

Rody pulled her into a sideways hug as he looked at the ceiling as well. "I will too." and he rubbed her shoulder comfortingly.

Hitomi watched as others patted her mothers back, Shinsou Hitoshi giving Izumi a pat on the shoulder. Then she looked up at the ceiling as well. "A new adventure…"

Twelve year old Hitomi hopped out of the front door. Her backpack was on her back and it jingled as the charms hanging off it clattered together. "Bye mom! Bye Dad! Eri is here!"

"Okay!" Her mother shouted from the kitchen. "See you on Sunday!"

It was Friday which meant that Hitomi's other Dad, Hitoshi, would be picking her up for the weekend and would drop her off Sunday night. It was apparently an arrangement of sorts. Nothing 'through the courts' she once heard her mother say to her dad. Because Rody signed the birth certificate and it would be a whole process. So all Hitoshi has to do is ask. He did ask. He asked a lot.

"Heya!" Eri smiled as she hugged Hitomi.

"Hey!" Hitomi greeted Eri and then smiled at Kota.

"Squirt." Kota greeted me from the front seat of the car he was driving. "How's your mom?"

Hitomi climbed into the backseat while Eri got into the passenger side. "Good! She's…uh… 6 months along?"

"I wonder when the baby shower is." Eri sighed. "Mr. Dad won't admit it but he got her a bunch of cute items for the new baby. Boy or girl?"

Hitomi shrugged. "They don't want to know until the baby is born."

"Ugh! They're so lame!" Kota grunted.

Hitomi giggled as Kota took off down the road. "I wonder if this will impact Izumi as a hero." Eri hummed.

Hitomi gave a hum as she thought about it. Yes, her mother got her quirk back a while ago with her having to drink after Hitoshi to get it back because 'I'm not eating another hair. I'm sorry.' So, they basically swapped spit without kissing. Gross. But now her mother was on leave because of her pregnancy. Paid leave, but that didn't mean she wasn't working as she was a teacher for UA.

Rody was still a pilot working for Bakugo's agency. Where Izumi works- er- worked as she's, again, on leave. It was non-negotiable as Bakugo wasn't going to risk her having a miscarriage while on patrol.

There was no longer a HPSC, instead the Japanese government stepped in for the time being and took away some of the harsher restrictions the HPSC had put in place. Heroes had a higher pay and worked less hours, with paid vacations and great benefits. Not that Hitomi understood everything but apparently the thing to go was the ranking as being a hero shouldn't be a popularity contest it should be about wanting to save people. It caused a bunch of people to quit but those that wanted to still be a hero stayed.

Hitomi wasn't sure if she wanted to be a hero. "You have plenty of time." Her father Rody told her. "You don't have to make a choice at such a young age."

Roro decided to try and attend university in Japan and even got a scholarship and was going to school for engineering. Lala was actually able to transfer to UA. Not the hero course but for the Gen Ed course so she could get into a good college to be a lawyer.

It left Hitomi unsure of what she wanted to be. A pilot? A hero? An engineer? A Lawyer? Hard to say but she's sure she'll figure something out when she gets old enough.

"Bye!" Hitomi waved Eri and Kota goodbye as she got out of the car and looked at her new school. The kids were nice and restrictions were put into place to stop students from using their quirks in the building. Something else that was because of the HPSC downfall.

Hitomi smiled before she stepped through the doors. Junior high was a scary place to be in but nobody dared bully her as they knew who her mother was. Despite the poll no longer being up Izumi Soul was making waves in Japan even if some heroes weren't happy about it. Hitomi heard that some heroes didn't like her mommy because of what she did.

School was just that, School. Something Hitomi was glad was over for the weekend. Hitoshi was dutifully waiting for her at the end of the day and She got into the front seat. "So, I'm going to take you to Grandma Inko's tonight, okay? Your mother knows and will be there as well." Hitoshi said as he buckled himself in.

"Okay!"

Grandma Inko smothered Hitomi whenever Hitomi came around and Hitomi loved the food she made and her tea was really tasty.

Hitomi grabbed her seatbelt and Hitomi stopped her. "Before you do that, there's something I want to give you. I know your birthday is coming up soon, right?"

Hitomi nodded. In a month she'll be thirteen! She'll finally be a teenager!

"Well, I gotta make up for ten years of missed presents, you know? So I'm giving you one big present now. It's in the back."

Hitomi looked towards the back seat and there was a cardboard box. Hitomi looked at Hitoshi and quietly urged her to go back and look for herself. She stepped from the front seat and awkwardly made her way to the back. Once in the back she looked at the box-

It moved!

The box moved!

Hitomi nearly fell against the door in alarm. Then she looked at Hitoshi. "Go on." He told her with a smile.

So…she opened the box and peered inside- her nose was licked- Two big brown eyes looked back at her as the tiny fluffy black and white puppy wagged his tail at her. "It's a border collie!" She exclaimed happily while holding the puppy up.

"Yep! It's a girl and she's going to stay at my house, this way I'm not undermining your parents." Hitoshi rubbed the back of his neck.

The dog let out a soulful howl and Hitomi couldn't help it as she mimicked the howl. The little puppy's tail wagged as they howled in tandem.

"So, what are you going to name her?"

"..." Hitomi looked at the dog as a million different names ran through her head. Then it hit her. "Sea!"

"Sea, Huh?" Hitoshi asked and Hitomi nodded.

"You have a way with names, kid. You get that from your mother without a doubt… first Pork and Now Sea, but Alright. Sea it is."

Yeah, Hitomi didn't understand everything. She didn't know why Mommy had to throw away a lot of her old photos with Hitoshi. She didn't understand why Daddy and Mommy had to go to 'sessions' every other weekend and talk about their problems. She didn't understand why her two daddies clearly didn't like one another, but she supposed one day she will. Not today, not tomorrow, but one day.
