Chapter Text
Egg and Nothing were doing a pretty good job at watching over the lobby.
Nothing was at the 34th verse of their song and Egg hadn't shot anyone yet.
All of a sudden they heard a shriek from the outside.
The pair turned their heads to the door just in time to see Brit sprinting inside.
"What- Why are you here?" Egg asked, panicked.
"HELP!" Brit screamed back and hid behind Egg.
"Why aren't you outside with the guards?" Nothing questioned.
"Because the-" Brit was promptly cut off as an ostrich ran inside the bank, with guards running after it, trying to contain it.
"WHY THE FUCK IS THERE AN OSTRICH HERE?" Egg shouted, raising their gun to the bird.
"I DON'T KNOW, IT JUST SHOWED UP" Brit sobbed.
The whole lobby was starting to erupt into chaos.
"Uhmm... is this a good time to tell you that I'm scared of ostriches?" Nothing asked, staring at the bird in horror.
"YES," Egg shouted back, trying to figure out the situation.
One of the guards was already knocked out by the ostrich, and the other one appeared to be having a fistfight with it.
Out of nowhere, another person ran inside the bank.
"Has anyone seen an os- DAVE!" They screamed and ran toward the ostrich.
"WHO EVEN ARE YOU?" Egg shrieked.
"Oh, I'm Patch, nice to meet you," the stranger turned towards the group, "And I was trying to steal this ostrich from the zoo, but it kind of ran away."
"Why would you try to steal an ostrich of all things?" Brit asked, still shaken up from the bird attack.
"You don't want to know," Patch replied, looking Brit straight in her eyes.
Kyle emerged from the vault "Guys! I got the- IS THAT AN OSTRICH?" they screamed and were cut off as the ostrich kicked the guard towards them.
"Oi, their name is Dave!" Patch correccted Kyle.
"Do I look like I- EGG WATCH OUT!" Kyle screamed, eyes trained to something behind EGg.
Egg whipped around to see a person in a suit and a black mask covering their eyes, almost like a blindfold, standing right behind them.
They had an apple in their hands, and they were moving it towards Egg, "Hello Eggtholomew, It's time to-"
BANG!
...
"DID YOU JUST SHOOT THEM?" Brit shrieked out, as the body crumpled right next to her.
"WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO" Egg shouted back, waving the gun around like a madman.
"NOT KILL THEM" Kyle screamed.
Nothing was on the floor crying again and Brit was trying to calm them down, while also crying.
"We are now here, at the Apple bank where a disturbance was reported earlier," A voice rang out.
"Is that a goddamn news reported?" Patch asked, panicked, "No, they can't know that I'm here!"
A microphone was showed at Patch, " Hello! I'm the14threader and you are now on live television," The news reporter chimed, "Care to tell us about the current situation?"
"No, I- Uhhh," Patch stammered out.
All of a sudden brick was flying toward the camera.
The cameraman shrieked and ducked out of the way, dropping the camera in the process.
"Awh man, that was our best camera." The reporter whined.
"You're welcome," Kyle screamed at Patch, "Now get your bird and let's get out of here before the cops show up."
"Their name is Da-" Patch objected, and was interrupted by Egg.
"Great idea," they said and pushed the gun into Brit's hands.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO WITH THIS?" Brit shrieked.
"Figure it out," Egg responded, as they grabbed Nothing's, who was still sobbing, hand and started to drag them to the exit.
Kyle was already waiting for them, by the door with a bag in their hands.
Then, the group ran out into the city.
