Chapter Text
Hours went by quickly, after watching two movies, it was time for Ryosuke and Kuramochi to leave. They walked for a while, talking about they finally found Eijun before they split directions. Then, Kuramochi bid goodbye and left. Ryosuke was almost home when he saw his little brother standing in the middle of his bed room, holding picture of Eijun. He saw his little brother's eyes wide with surprise while checking the ten photos of Eijun one by one.
Ryousuke gulped and couldn't help but feel nervous. He began slowly walking towards his little brother.
Haruichi heard the footsteps coming to the room but he didn't care.
"Haru—"
"Aniki, when were you going to tell me?" Haruichi said as tears began to fall down.
Ryousuke didn't reply, he keeps his mouth shut.
"When were you going to tell me that you found Eijun?" Haruichi asked again.
"Haruichi, why did y—"
"Answer me, aniki!!"
Ryousuke flinched when he heard the hint of anger coming from his little brother for the first time.
"Where is he? Where is my friend?!" Haruichi yelled as he gripped on his brother's arms.
"Hey, you're hurting me." Ryousuke replied.
"Where is Eijun! Please tell me!!" Haruichi yelled, completely ignoring what his brother just said.
"Haruichi, let me go!" Ryouske yelled as he tried to get out of Haruichi's grip and Haruichi finally let him go.
"Aniki, please tell me where he is..!" Haruichi pleaded.
Ryousuke massaged his wrist and looked at the note in the investigator wrote. Haruichi followed his brother's gazed and immediately picked up the piece of paper.
"Are you sure he's here?" Haruichi asked.
The next day, when the school bell began to ring, announcing the end of the class, Haruichi rushed to the second floor of the building to talk to someone. When he reached that classroom, he found Miyuki sitting at his desk, rubbing his temples, staring down at the textbooks.
Bunch of second year students looked confused and also Kuramochi but for some student like Maezono, he just walk out of the classroom like he didn't care.
From the corner of Miyuki's eyes, he saw Haruichi approaching him and knelt down to whisper something.
The classroom fell silent, only three of them inside now and Kuramochi was confused, very confused and couldn't help wondering what Haruichi whispering about.
"Your brother found Eijun?" Miyuki said, his brown eyes wide with excitement.
"Yeah, Miyuki-senpai." Haruichi replied as he showed him the note with the address on it.
Sudden laugher interrupted them, causing Miyuki and Haruichi to turn around.
"I know it kill you guys for not seeing that idiot, but maybe you should just leave him alone." Kuramochi said to them as he sat at the empty desk behind Haruichi.
"Why are you telling us this? Did Kominato-senpai—" Miyuki's words were suddenly interrupted by one of his friend.
"Yeah, yeah you're right, Miyuki." Kuramochi shook his head.
Sudden anger and disappointment but most of all sadness rushed over Miyuki so he grabbed Kuramochi's collar, pulling him up to his face and stared into his eyes.
Haruichi panicked and try to grabbed Miyuki's arm to stop him.
"Miyuki-senpai!" Haruichi said.
"You didn't say anything to me, are you serious? Don't you understand that I almost jumped off the school's roof knowing he wouldn't come back to this school because of you guys that made him leave this place? Don't you—" Miyuki was cut off.
"I understand Miyuki. I understand." Kuramochi said in serious tone.
Miyuki still grabbing Kuramochi's collar while Haruichi staring at them nervously.
"Ryou-san and I both read the investigator's letter. He said that Sawamura is finally living a life that he wanted. He's living in peace, he has a job and finishing school through online classes and... he has a wonderful place that he lives in, don't you get it Miyuki and little Kominato?" Kuramochi said but the two boys didn't answer so Kuramochi continued.
"He doesn't want to be bothered by his past. All of us! He left this place hoping to find a new beginning. To find a new home, a home where he can live in peace. Let Sawamura live his life guys." Kuramochi said.
Haruichi let go Miyuki's arm as tears began to fall down his eyes.
"Kuramochi-senpai is right, I think we should give Eijun time to heal from his past." Haruichi said and to his surprise Miyuki was already crying.
"Sorry, but I just have to see him." Miyuki said as he hurried and grabbed his belongings and the note which addresses to where Eijun lives, then rushed out the classroom.
"Hey, Miyuki! Where are you going?!" Kuramochi yelled.
But Miyuki didn't listen or even look back. He kept on running and running until he got out of the building of the Seidou High School.
Night finally come, and things quieted down. Eijun and Okumura were in the living room watching a horror movie. Seto was asleep together with Wolf-boy.
"I'm surprised your're not scared, Sawamura-senpai." Okumura said.
"W-Why would I be scared? I'm a man and men don't get scared!" Eijun replied.
Okumura blinked, "Sure, okay." He said in sarcasm.
Eijun jumped in fear when he heard the door bell while Okumura staring at Eijun in confusion.
"I thought you said men don't get scared, Sawamura-senpai?" Okumura said.
Eijun gets up to see who it is.
"I'm not!" Eijun said as he walked to the door.
He wondered who could that be, ringing the door bell in the middle of the night. It had better be something important.
"Who is it—" Eijun stopped talking as he saw Miyuki standing outside the house.
He's panting and covered in sweat like he's been running for hours. But as soon as Eijun's eyes met him, he jerked back immediately.
Miyuki felt hurt as he noticed fear in Eijun's eyes for him.
Eijun kept moving backwards shaking his head in fear but Miyuki immediately grabbed him and pulled him in a hug tighly.
"Y-you... I heard it... you can speak now?" Miyuki asked as he held Eijun tightly, started rocking back and forth to calm him down.
Miyuki could feel Eijun's body trembling so he hugged him more tightly, thought maybe his presence calmed him.
"Don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt you, Sawamura." Miyuki said.
Still, Eijun didn't respond.
"I know I hurt you without even knowing. I promise you, Sawamura. Not anymore."
After a while, Eijun finally calmed down so Miyuki then broke the hug and looked at him.
"We're going to talk but not here, got it?" Eijun said as he went inside to grab his jacket.
Okumura saw him so he followed Eijun secretly to the hallway and found some stranger outside the door, waiting. He didn't say anything and just thought maybe it's an old friend of his senpai so he went back into the living room to turn off the TV and then sleep.
Miyuki and Eijun went to the park and they both go to sit on the old swings but silence filled the air. Miyuki sighed and Eijun turn his head low because he couldn't say anything let alone explain. He didn't know how. So, Miyuki started the conversation.
"How have you been?" Miyuki asked, staring at Eijun.
Eijun looked at up and say, "Good." He answered simply.
"That's good, why won't you come back?" Miyuki asked again.
Eijun sighed and looked at the ground.
"I can't. I won't come back." Eijun answered.
"Sawamura, we're all breaking down because you left. You forgot all of us?" Miyuki said with disappointment.
Eijun suddenly got up from the swing and face Miyuki with a sad face and his eyes started to turn red.
"What am I supposed to do? Just go back and act like everything's fine? I'm sorry Miyuki-senpai but I can't!" Eijun said as tears fell down his cheeks.
Miyuki thought Eijun looked so fragile when crying.
"I was being bullied by the whole school, my brother ran me over with the car because he thinks I took everything from him and Rei-san thought I have an attitude problem and wanted me to go to a psychiatrist! I just wanted to die, Miyuki-senpai, but these two boys and the dog made me realize that I shouldn't kill myself, that instead I should start a new life so I could live peacefully!" Eijun continued, letting the tears fall freely.
"Two boys and the dog?" Miyuki asked in curiousity.
Eijun wiped his tears and sniffed.
"Yes. I lived over here homeless, only two people took me in because they pity me. Don't you over think that I forgot you all because I thought of you guys every freaking days. You really think that it's not easy for me? It's not—" Eijun was cut off.
"Then come back!" Miyuki yelled as he got up from the swing causing stray cats to look at them.
Eijun just sighed.
"I get that okay? I really do but here's one thing, it's not just you are suffering, we're suffering too, Sawamura! I feel like I'm going to explode because my friend left me without saying! I even almost jumped off the roof because of you!" Miyuki said causing Eijun to cry even more. He felt trapped.
"Miyuki-senpai, I didn't come here to argue. I'm leaving now, good night." Eijun replied and turned around.
He left Miyuki at the park alone, without even looking back.
Eijun was very sad and decided to ran home with a broken heart after meeting Miyuki. He stared at the night sky as the rain hit his face. Suddenly, Eijun tripped, fell and hit his head hard on the wet concrete.
"O-ouch!!" Eijun yelled in pain.
Rubbing his head as he got up, he saw a guy walking closer to him.
"Eijun? Is that you?"
Eijun immediately knew who that voice was so he looked to his right side and there stood a guy who took him in. It was the one and only Sanada. He smiled as he saw Eijun.
"We miss you!" Sanada said as he walked closer to him.
"What are you doing here?" Eijun asked which made Sanada in shock.
"Y-you could speak?" Sanada asked back.
Eijun just nodded.
Sanada nodded too, even though he was still shocked. He then continued walking towards Eijun and hugged him tightly.
"I can tell, you missed me? Sanada-senpai?" Eijun said jokingly.
Sanada chuckled as he let him go and asked, "What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?"
Eijun didn't answer which made Sanada more shocked was the blood dripping from Eijun's head.
"What happened to your head?!" Sanada asked again in worry.
Eijun didn't respond to that either.
"What's the matter, Eijun?" Sanada asked again.
Eijun sighed.
"Mei is your brother, right? Is that why you left?" Sanada asked again.
Finall Eijun respond and nodded, "I'm sorry I left. I just had to get away from everything, including my brother. You guys knew him so I had to leave."
Sanada nodded.
"Come on, let's go to the convenient store. It's pouring and I don't want you, I mean us to get sick." Sanada said as he grabbed Eijun's hand.
Eijun sighed as he and Sanada walked in the hospital.
"Hey, what are we doing here?" Eijun asked with a tired voice.
Sanada chuckled, "Your head remember?"
Eijun touched his forehead and felt something wet, when he pulled his hand away he saw it was smeard with blood. After a while of waiting, Sanada and Eijun finally able to see a doctor.
"Sawamura-kun, so it says here that you injured your head?" The doctor said as he walked in the room.
"Yeah, that's right." Eijun answered.
The doctor sat on the chair and placed the papers on the desk.
"Okay, I'm going to check your head." The doctor said as he rolled his chair to him. He took off the bandage that was wrapped around Eijun's head.
"This wound is deep, you're going to need stitches. After that I'm going to give you antibiotics to take." The doctor said.
"What's the antibiotics for?" Eijun asked.
"There's a high possibility that your wound is infected. Taking the antibiotics is for precaution." The doctor answered.
Eijun nodded in understanding and after that he went to get his stitches. It took a while but everything went okay.
"Why am I getting injured in the head?" Eijun said to himself.
"So how are you feeling?" Sanada asked as he and Eijun walked out of the hospital.
"Better but—" Eijun suddenly stopped walking and Sanada stopped walking as well.
Tears immediately began to form so Sanada slowly pulled him into a hug and Eijun began to cry harder.
"I don't know what to do anymore. This past months, it's been the best part of my life but now it's all ruined." Eijun sad as he cried.
Sanada hugghed him tighter, "It's going to be okay, Eijun."
Eijun shook his head.
"I keep on telling myself that, but it's never going to be okay, I'm just tired of all this when can I finally just live in peace?" Eijun said.
Sanada comfort Eijun and patted his back.
"You will live in peace, Eijun. Just have a little faith. Fate has a way of playing around with people but sooner or later, you will get what you desite. It may take months or even years but you will still get it." Sanada said.
Eijun cried even more.
"Don't give up, Eijun. I beg you to not give up." Sanada said with smile.
When they finally released each other, Eijun wiped his tears and he gave Sanada a smile.
Sanada smiled back.
"Oh, and just to let you know, Raichi's still mad that you left. We all miss you." Sanada said.
Eijun chucked and said, "Who wouldn't miss someone like me?" He replied with a playful tone.
As time passed, Okumura went outside his bedroom and it shocked him to know that Eijun wasn't still home. He rushed to Setos' room and wake him up.
"Taku, where's Sawamura-senpai?!" Okumura asked in panic.
"I-I don't know?" Seto said as he slowly put his glasses on.
Okumura sighed as he massaged his temples.
"Take care of Wolf-boy while I'm out." Okumura said as he walked towards the door to leave.
Okumura ran out the house and began on searching for Eijun. The more time passed, the more he worried. He needed to find him, no he wanted to find his senpai.
He then stopped running, trying to regain his breath. He massaged his tights as he took his break. He had a feeling that something bad was going to happen and so, he continued
to search for him.
After Eijun bid farewell to Sanada, he walked alone in the empty street. He smiled when he remember what Sanada just told him earlier. There's still hope.
He was about to turn to the other street when a familiar voice stopped him.
"Hey, Ei!"
Eijun knew who that voice belonged to, so he looked around and there stood Mei with a bunch of boys. Eijun's eyes went wide in horror as he saw Mei walking towards him and was followed by his crew.
"You see, mom wanted me to find you but, I didn't come here for that." Mei said with a serious tone that gave chills down into Eijun's spine.
"Guys, you know what to do." Mei said as he moved out of the way.
Eijun stared the boys with fear and right then and there, they beat him up to the point where all he could do was crawl. He looked at his phone that was on the floor, cracked. Tears were falling from his eyes as he saw Okumura's name pop up. He was calling him.
The boys all laughed as they watched Eijun crawl away from them. He grabbed the phone with his hand and immediately clicked answer button. Eijun began to use his right hand to get up by using the lamp post but Mei has to be the one, he punched Eijun's injured head causing Eijun to scream.
