Chapter Text
The curse left her wand before she could even think about it. Ronald Weasley was thrown sideways and slammed against the wall, hitting his forehead. A great gash appeared and he was almost immediately covered in blood.
“Of all the people to give me a love potion, it’s you, Ronald Weasley?” She was absolutely livid.
Ron wiped the trickle of blood that was running into his eye. “What?”
Hermione grit her teeth, making her voice even more tense. “You were the victim of a love potion and almost died. How could you even try something like that on me?”
“Oy, it’s just a light one. Just to… you know… get you in the mood.”
Another hex hit him square in the chest, sending him back into the wall. He struggled to stand again.
“Stop it!” he cried.
“It wouldn’t have worked anyway. You wasted your coercive magic on the wrong witch.”
“Blimey, Hermione. What are you on about?”
“Do you not know what the properties of love potions are?”
He gave her a curious look.
She explained. “You can’t be in love with someone already, you dolt! It doesn’t work.”
“Who are you in love with?” he asked accusingly.
At that moment, Severus came into the room. He looked curiously at Weasley.
“Why is he bleeding?” he asked.
“Because he is an idiot.”
Severus’ arms surrounded her. “What happened? You’re so agitated that magic is sparking from your hair. You know I love that characteristic in you, but I don’t love the actions that get you there.”
“Oh, God, kill me now,” Ron muttered.
Hermione put her arms around Severus as she glared at Ron. Turning back to Severus she kissed him passionately, not ending the makeout session for some time.
“I think I’m gonna be sick,” Ron moaned.
“He gave me a love potion,” Hermione explained. “Being the arse he is, he didn’t think that I could possibly be in love with anyone else already.”
Severus glared at Weasley. “I would curse him myself, but it looks like you’ve done a fine job teaching him a lesson.”
“When did this happen, ‘Mione? Why would you choose him instead–”
The curse hit him before he could say anything else. He doubled over, clutching his stomach, and moaned in pain.
“Get out, Ron. I don’t want to see you around here again for a long, long time.”
Ron stumbled to the door. He looked back and glared at the couple before him.
“You two deserve each other. You’re both great gits.”
With that he fled from the room, the curse thrown by Severus barely missing him–on purpose, of course.
Turning back to Hermione, Severus looked at her with concern.
“Are you all right, love?”
She nodded. “It didn’t affect me at all, except maybe made me want you all the more.”
“Well, he definitely is an idiot, but I’m not going to complain about you wanting me.” Severus smirked at her. “Shall we explore this desire now?”
Hermione nodded, grabbing his hand and tugging him into the bedroom.
“Be careful, witch! I need those fingers to be in working order to please you!”
