Owl House Re-Writes

Chapter 2: Scene that would have been cool

Summary:

A scene that would have been cool to show off Hunter's combat powers. I feel like he's actually pretty powerful, especially when you remember he was raised in what was basically the army. I wish there was a scene that could have showed off his powers, because he ended up being kind of wasted, in my opinion. I still love him, though.

Chapter Text

Context: This is a little re write of what happened at Blight Manor when the gang was sneaking through there. I know it couldn't realistically have happened in the episode because all of the budget went into the Lumity kiss (Still happy about that but anYWAYS) I was thinking it would be cool if the gang split up and all had moments that would show off their unique powers/character development, plus some swearing because that just adds flavour. This is just Hunter's specifically, but I might do the others later.

The emperor's coven scouts stood in a group together, holding up a small ball of light to see in the dark factory. A few moments ago, the power suddenly shorted out in a burst of yellow light. A second later, another group of scouts dropped dead. The one holding the torch glanced around, shaking a little in fear of the flash of light that kept taking down the others. The flash of light they recognized as the previous Golden Guard's magic.

"Where is he...where is he?!" He said, panic making his voice a little louder than intended. Suddenly, another scout shoved down his head, almost making the light spell drop and flicker out.

"Keep your head down!" They hissed from under the mask. "He's obviously aiming for the light- do you want him to hear us too?" The two other guards behind them glanced at each other and backed away from the firelight.

"He's using the darkness to hide his attacks..." The youngest scout whispered, pressing their back into the wall. "Oh titan oh titan oh titan-" they said over and over again.

One glanced to their right, looking for the weapons Ms. Blight had given them earlier. They could use magic, sure, but it probably wasn't a good idea in a factory filled with very dangerous, prone to explosion machines. They'd have to hit their target or risk the whole building going up in flames.

"Our weapons- they're gone!" The young scouts whispered, panicking. Cold sweat ran down their faces.

"We're empty handed, and up against a guy who's already probably killed steve in cold blood. Here we are, shitting our pants, not able to do anything about it."

"We could try to fight him?" One of them offered.

"I'd rather just kill myself." They responded flatly. The hairs on their neck stood on end as a gust of wind rushed behind them and a flash of yellow lighting shot out from the corner of their eye. The others started, grabbing for weapons that weren't there, only to freeze up in terror.

"That can still be arranged." The golden guard whispered, before ramming his staff, charged with electricity, into their skull and quickly knocking out the other scouts before any of them could make a sound.

Notes:

Sorry it's a little short, it's getting late and I have an internship in the morning. I will be posting longer works, though.

Notes:

Hey, I'm so sorry about the Hiatus with everything, my parents had grounded me, and my dad destroyed some of my stuff so I've had to save up money to get repairs done. But I promise more updates will come soon. For those of you reading the Lingering Remains fic, I'm working on a re-write of it as I speak. Remember to eat, drink water, sleep (I know at least one of you has not slept in 48 hours), and take care of yourself.
