Orphan boy

Chapter 2: 2. The agency?

Summary:

Atsushi talks to Yosano

Notes:

Hellooo! I’m only posting this cause I’m bored at the moment :)

I actually don’t like this fanfic that much, despite only having written 3 and a half chapter and now posted 2.
If I continue writing it, then the way I write it will change after chapter 3 or 4 probably.

I also I’m not sure how often I will post, since I already post on another fanfic, ‘aromantic heart, a romantic heart’, every week. And school just started for me as well.

Btw, the chapters to this fanfic are short, but they might become longer after chapter 3 or 4 if I keep writing on it.

Chapter Text

When Atsushi wakes up and his eyes flutter open, but he quickly shuts them again when a bright light shines in his eyes. At first, he thinks he might have died and passed on cause of how bright it was. He tries to take in his surroundings a bit more. The room smells really clean, like a hospital, and the bed he’s laying on also feels like something from a hospital. He hears a door open, the noise coming from his left side, he looks over and sees a woman.

The woman has brown, almost purple, hair and purple eyes. In her hair there is a golden hair clip, that symbolizes a butterfly,  it’s really pretty.

“Oh, you’re awake..!” The woman walks over to him carefully, like he’s made out of glass. “Good morning,” she softly says “tell me, what is your name? I’m Yosano.”

He hesitates for a second before answering, in a small voice. “A-Atsushi…”

“Atsushi? That’s a really nice name you got.” she smiles “Are you hungry? You look like you should eat something”

Atsushi nods eagerly. He’s literally  starving!

“I’ll go get something then, Atsushi. Is soup okay?” She asks kindly.

He nods once again, he doesn’t care what it is, he could eat anything right now. He could eat raw chicken right now. Okay… maybe not raw chicken. But he could eat most things right now.

“I’ll go and get some soup, I’ll be right back.” Atsushi hears her say, before the door opens and closes, and her footsteps starts to fade away.

After about 5 minutes, she comes back with black, plastic tray. The tray has a bowl with soup on it, a glass of water, and a red apple laying to the right of the soup.

Yosano puts the tray on Atsushi’s lap. “I hope it tastes good” he hears her say.

He looks at the soup, a bit suspicious. He was absolutely starving, but in the orphanage they would sometimes give him food that was expired long ago. Sometimes they would even drug him, and then do stuff  to him . He doesn’t like thinking about it. He also doesn’t want to believe that this woman would to that, but he can’t help it. Years and years of abuse is bound to mess someone up and give them at least a little trust issues.

‘The woman, Yosano, probably wouldn’t do that.’  he thinks, but he still can’t help but to be at least a tiny bit suspicious.

“Is something wrong?” Yosano breaks his train of thought. “Tell me, Atsushi. Do you think I put something in it? Be honest with me.”

Atsushi could just lie, but he doesn’t.

He slightly nods at the question.

“Did the orphanage put stuff in your food?”

Another nod comes from Atsushi, and then Yosano’s face gets a sad look on it.

“Oh… I’m so sorry. I would never put anything in your food. I swear on my life”

Atsushi isn’t fully convinced yet, but his stomach growls so loudly, and his hunger is unbearable. He takes a spoon of soup hesitantly, takes it to his nose, smelling it. ‘ It doesn’t smell weird.’  he thinks. Then I takes it to his mouth, and eating a little. ‘ It doesn’t taste bad either.’

Atsushi looks up at Yosano, who gives him a smile. Then he eats the rest of the soup, the apple and then drinks the water.

He thanks Yosano when he’s finished, and Yosano takes the black tray. She stands up and looks at Atsushi.

“Tomorrow you’ll be introduced to the rest of the agency, but for now you should rest.”

“….the agency?” He looks at her slightly confused.

“The Armed Detective Agency. I’ll explain tomorrow. Now, rest.” She walks towards the door and opens it, then turns around and gives Atsushi one last look before she leaves.

Atsushi lays down in the bed, and quickly feels tiredness take him over. He falls asleep shortly after.
