    Summary

When Alhaitham wakes up and sees Kaveh leaning his head on the edge of his bed, with an unusually, bafflingly bright grin on his face, he can surmise that the person in front of him is not Kaveh.

However, he never expects that it will be the Goddess of Flower herself.

("You actually spoil Kaveh, don’t you, Alhaitham?" Nabu Malikata comments later on and Alhaitham has nothing to defend himself.)

(It’s unfair. She really should not have donned Kaveh’s face.)

    Summary

Turning back to the desert, Kaveh began to dance. He spun and leapt around the oasis, a smile on his face. Wherever he stepped, flowers rose out of the sand. They were beautiful and vibrant, padisarahs in a shade of purple that he had never seen anywhere else. They spread out around him, growing up from the barren sea of sand.

After an incident in the desert causes Alhaitham and Kaveh to be trapped for a day in the Mausoleum of King Deshret, they return home, only to find that not everything is the same. Faced with new powers, and padisarahs that haven't been seen since the death of the Goddess of Flowers, Alhaitham and Kaveh are thrown headfirst into an ancient mystery of love, flowers, and dreams.

    Summary

There is one thing that everyone with even a passing interest in Deshretic ruins at the Sumeru Akademiya knows for certain: if you have a problem figuring out something in the course of your studies, if you run into a puzzle you cannot crack, your very last resort is to show it to Scribe Alhaitham.

Alhaitham and Kaveh are, yes, King Deshret and Nabu Malikata's reborn forms. But they'll never realize it, because to them, all the things that hint towards that fact are just parts of their life. Talents, habits, stray feelings- they'd never figure it out on their own. Six things that are blatant hints that Alhaitham and Kaveh have a lot more going on in their lives than they know about that they absolutely ignored.

    Summary

Kaveh is half-hidden in the chiaroscuro light of the warehouse, so his expression is hard to discern. His fine clothes, always chosen with pride, are dirty and torn. A cloth gag is wrapped tight around his mouth.

Before Al-Haitham can recover from the surprise, Paradisaea brandishes a pistol that he’s retrieved from the depths of his cloak. The metal’s gentle glint is almost blinding against the dark shadows- a single star in an empty night sky.

Far too casually, he cocks the gun and places the barrel against the back of Kaveh’s head.

“I won’t repeat myself again. Leave,” Paradisaea says, calm as ever. “Unless you want to see the architect’s brains paint the town red, of course. Blood is very ‘in’ this season, you know.”

    Summary

Alhaitham happened to be the first real guest of Kaveh's newly finished, long-awaited, personally designed house. The place glittered from floor to ceiling, with all the extravagance and elegance a wealthy architect could buy in the heart of the city.

But even then, some things never change. It couldn't escape Alhaitham's notice that the bathroom was chock full of his favourite products, or that the familiar aroma of sandalwood oudh permeated each room.

So when Kaveh, after a candlelit dinner, offered (asked) him to stay the night, despite the state of the unfurnished guest bedroom - which Alhaitham knew was missing even a modest mattress - it was as if a decade-long puzzle he was too scared to solve finally clicked into place.
