Yuzu sat up in bed, shocked awake by her dream, and that reaction woke even the usual heavy-sleeping Mei from her richly earned slumber.
"Yuzu! What the ffff-" Mei started.
Yuzu shook the remaining sleep out of her eyes, focusing them on her bed-mate. No, Mei was the same as always. It was another crazy dream, alright, and these had become more frequent, ever since she had become addicted to that stupid anime...
Mei, for her part, had actually been actively enjoying her rest, but well, there it was. Yuzu was her lover and her lover was having kooky dreams! She couldn't, however hide the displeasure in her expression, or attitude.
"I just had the wildest dream, Mei!" Yuzu began by way of an explanation. "I know you said I keep having these dreams because of that dumb-ass cat-girl anime I watch! But well, in my dream, I was chasing after you; you were being a naughty kitty! You were prancing all over the house, meowing up a storm, making cat puns, and scratching up the furniture. You called me your "Sweet Meowstress" and kept - um- licking on me and... stuff! Everything seemed so real. And I was just promising to get you a big dish of milk if you'd behave when you pounced on me and..." Her face suddenly reddened with a strong, hot blush, remembering the denouement of the dream.
"And then what?" Mei asked fuzzily, propped up on an elbow.
"Um... And then I woke up!" Yuzu improvised.
Mei shook her head.
"Yuzu. That was so interesting. " she intoned sleepily. "Now, please go back to sleep! We have school tomorrow!" and with that, the subject was ended. The perplexed blonde girl sighed, scooted back under the sheet, rolled over, and closed her eyes.
Just as she began drifting off, something soft struck her gently across the bridge of her nose, jolting her into wakefulness.
Something tickley!
She slowly opened her eyes.
Mei's long, fluffy, silky tail formed a teasing question mark before the startled, but curious girl's eyes...
