Chapter Text

Tabitha was making her way to her locker, weaving in and out of students.
Its lunchtime and she forgot her library book in her locker and she needed to renew it before the weekend.
Some boy collided with her shoulder, making her growl.
“Watch it!”
The boy looked at her, “What are you gonna do about it, girl?!”
Tabitha’s claws grew and she was about to pounce but suddenly Jane appeared and grabbed her wrist.
“Not here.” She whispered before tugging Tabitha away.
Tabitha opened her locker with a sigh, “I wish you wouldn’t stop me from ripping that boy’s misogynistic limbs off!”
Jane leaned against the lockers, folding her arms. “And break one of Daddy’s rules? He’ll have our heads.”
“Daddy wouldn’t. Mama on the other hand totally would.”
The girls chuckled and Tabitha closed her locker only for Eric to be behind it. He yelled out and made the girls jump out of their skin.
“Damn it, Eric!” Tabitha snarled.
Jane held her chest with fright.
Soon the girls were chasing their brother down the hall with a battle cry and a plan for revenge.

Jane’s favourite thing to do was to read outside in her hammock.
And that was what she was doing. Reading ‘The Jungle Book’ all the while the birds sang above her and the autumn breeze rattled her bangs.
It was so peaceful.
That was until Tabitha leaped onto Jane with an almighty howl.
Jane screamed which made the other girl laugh.
“You are so dead!” Jane yelled.
Tabitha jumped out of the hammock and started to run with the shout of, “You’ve gotta catch me first, Nerd!”

Isaac came back home every Sunday for dinner.
He was greeted at the door by his parents and siblings. Hugs and kisses and exclaims of joy.
On this day however, Isaac noticed Aurelia not mixed with the bunch and asked where she was.
“She’s up in her room.” Stiles explained.
“She’s still mad at me for moving out?” Isaac frowned.
Stiles placed a hand on his eldest son’s arm. “She’ll come around, puppy. This change has just been difficult for her.”
Isaac sighed then made his way upstairs and to Aurelia’s door. He knocked. No answer.
He knocked again.
“Auri-zilla?” He called softly, “Wanna open the door for your favourite big brother?”
“You’re my only big brother.” Aurelia’s voice appearing behind him startled Isaac to the point of him yelping.
Aurelia started laughing.
“Ha. Ha. Very funny.” He mocked, looking down at his sister. He turned serious. “Are you still mad at me?”
Aurelia calmed then gave a small smile while shaking her head. “No.” She said, “I’m happy for you and Robin. Truly, I am. It’s just… it just sucks that you’re not living with us anymore.”
“I know.” He knelt down to her level. “But remember that I’m never far and I’ll always just be a howl away from all of you. You’re my pack. We Hale’s stick together. Right?”
Aurelia hugged him.
And Isaac held her just as tightly.

Gia and Jullian may be twins but they couldn’t be more different.
Gia was chubby and tall, always eating something sugary. She’s brave, adventurous and curious of the world around her. She would explore and get dirty and put things she found on the floor into her mouth to inspect it.
Jullan was small and thin. He refused to drink anything but milk and only ate things that were the colour beige. He cried whenever Stiles was out of his sight for too long and he refused to go anywhere on his own. He was like a baby mole, nervous and scared of the big bad world.
That made interactions like this somewhat of the norm.
Gia came into the room, cupping her hands like she’s holding something. She went up to her twin brother.
“Look! Look! I found something cool, Jullian!”
Jullian looked cautiously at her hands - only to scream when Gia threw a rubber spider at him. He burst into tears and ran out the room while wailing, “MAMAAAAAAAAAA!”
Gia ran after him, “It’s okay! It’s fake! It won’t hurt you!”

Aurelia went into her room.
She sighed and threw her backpack onto the bed before untangling her hair. Once more relaxed, she was about to fish out her homework to start her history project when something caught her eye.
It was a cardboard box, sitting on her desk chair.
Confused, she went to it and lifted the lid.
Olive came bursting out from the box with a “BOO!”.
Aurelia jumped back with a yell before laughing. She lifted Olive and began tickling her.
The giggles of the two girls could be heard from all over the house.
