Will has been in California for 2 weeks yet and Mike is already missing him so much that he distanced himself from the party. He was nothing without him. Well he was something but a fragile something. Mike wanted to write a letter to Will. He sat down and wrote something.
Dear Will,
I miss you. I’m not supposed to miss you like we’ve been apart for half a year but I do. I think I’ll die inside if I can’t see you in the next 6 months. I will literally not stop begging my mum to drive me to you on Christmas. The second you’re standing infront of me I will kiss you. I mean this is the cringest thing I ever wrote down. Just wanted to tell you that I love you. I will try to figure out the phone situation.

Mike was not sure wether he’ll actually send it or not. He wanted to wait a day and overthink it. It was pretty cheesy. That wasn’t the real Mike. Maybe it was. Maybe he was only himself around Will. That doesn’t matter. He can’t send that.
The day passed and he went to sleep.
The next morning Nancy came to his room and woke him up with a „MIKE! YOU GOT A LETTER FROM SOMEONE! Wake the fuck up already!“ (it’s Saturday) she trew the letter in his room. Mike picked it up from the floor. He recognized the writing the second he saw it. It was from Will.
Dear Mike,
I miss you. I honestly don’t know what else to say. I just miss you. Im working on a painting right now. It will be the prettiest painting I ever made. If you still have your Walkie-Talkie I could call you over that btw. We can see eachother on my birthday in a year and a half. I don’t know why either. Sorry for this being so chaotic.

The „Love,“ made Mike blush for some reason. Even though the reason is pretty obvious. He was just a deeply inlove teenager who misses his boyfriend.
*one week before they are supposed to meet again.*
Mike can’t focus on anything. He will see his boyfriend again. He wanted nothing more than to see Will again. He was constantly thinking about Will. How much he changed, If he still loved him the same. Mike was working on a birthday project for Will. He saved all his money for a painting kit with 30 different colors and 15 different brushes and 10 pencils. He knew that was not the greatest gift but he wanted to gift that to him.
When Mike constantly thought of Will he sometimes thought of Will doing something that’s more than just kissing with him. He’s 16 now. He’s allowed to have those thoughts and not being disgusted by it. He’s allowed to have sexual atraction. That wasn’t the problem.
The problem was that he’ll probably not be able to control himself when they’re alone kissing in Wills bedroom. He doesn’t want to do that without Will‘s consent. He would never do anything bad to Will. Never.
*5 minutes before driving to Will*
Mike was still thinking about Will. About their kisses one and a half years ago. Of course Mike didn’t stop loving Will. The distance has just caused a stronger feeling.
