Chapter Text
“Woah!” Tokage yelled, splitting apart as my blood whip flung at her.
“Now you’re open!” Ashido said, throwing a glob of acid at me.
“Too slow,” I said, quickly ducking under it as I swung a blood scythe at her, making her leap back and fall to the ground. “And you’re dead,” I added, putting the blade to her throat.
“Dang it,” she muttered, stepping out of the ring.
I quickly spun around and shot a burst of flames at Jirou who fired back with her sound blast from the boots Hatsume made for her. I then spun and sent the whip out around her wrist before pulling her into melee range and slamming my fist into her face, knocking her out. I felt a hand grab my wrist and turn me around to face Tokage who then grabbed my face and put her lips on my own. I quickly froze up as she pulled away and threw her fist into my face.
“I win,” she said in a sing-song voice.
“I-uh,” I said, cleverly.
“I suppose that would work in making a distraction and getting away,” Tenko commented.
“Wow, I think you actually broke her,” Shinso chuckled.
“I-I was not expecting that,” I finally spoke.
“That’s the point, surprise the enemy with a small smooch and run away while they’re stunned. I remember reading about a villainess who would do that all the time to get away,” she explained.
“Harley Quinn, right? I actually thought about reaching out to the group she is working with at the moment but I don’t know if it’s possible to do so,” I admitted.
“Wait, she’s part of a group?” Ashido asked.
“Yeah, most villains fall under a group. They’re part of the Shadows. It’s a large group that includes thieves like Gentle Criminal and La Brava as well as those who only go after heroes like Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. They’re the largest group of villains but only grouped together to act as a way to keep themselves protected as a group from those who are more unsavory, ones I wouldn’t mind dissolving into nothing myself,” I explained.
“Oh wow, I didn’t realize there were so many different groups,” Shinso sighed.
“What groups are there so we know?” Tokage asked.
“I’ll let you all know once Jirou comes back to consciousness. I honestly need to get you guys some armour or something,” I sighed.
“Why don’t you need any?” Ashido asked.
“Tenko,” I said, looking at him and motioning to the locker.
“Alright,” he said, opening it and pulling out the pistol.
He pointed it at me and pulled the trigger four times. I activated Overclock as I activated Holoshield for the first one, Armament for the second one, Metakinesis to throw the third one off trajectory, and Pyrokinesis to make the fourth one lose all power and just fall to the ground. I deactivated Overclock as all of the bullets failed to do anything to me.
“I think my point is made,” I said, looking at them.
“Show off,” Shinso muttered, walking out.
“You are just way too powerful,” Tokage sighed, following him.
“Miss Izumi, it’s almost time for your meeting with the Doctor,” Kurogiri said, walking into the training room.
“Oh yeah, let me go toss my outfit on,” I said, running up to my room and grabbing the hooded shirt and pants as I tossed them on.
They were reinforced to keep from getting ruined by me using quirks as well as when I get attacked. They were mostly black with gold lines on the arms and the legs. I made my way back down to the bar as Kurogiri opened the portal. I took the mask that covered my face and put it on. It was a smooth black mask that had a Kintsugi pattern of cracks originating from my forehead. I walked through the portal and found myself in a dark underground basement with rows and rows of black and grey creatures in tubes. Each one looked slightly different from the one next to it. I then looked over to see a small man who had big goggles and a mustache that made him look like an Evil Doctor.
“Kurogiri, who is this girl?” He asked.
“Hello doctor, you worked for my father. I’m rebuilding his empire and I want you to help me,” I said. “I am the daughter of All for One, but you can call me by my own code name, Singularity. What can I call you?”
“Ha, All for One’s daughter? You honestly expect me to believe that you are his child?” he asked.
“Well, I was born with his quirk and I can prove it if you would like,” I offered.
“Alright then, take this Nomu’s quirk,” he said as a tall creature with four large arms and a long tail that was barbed at the end.
I touched it and felt four quirks in its body. Four Arms, Strength Enhancer, Tail Spike, and Carry On. Tail Spike will be the best one, I thought pulling that quirk as gold electricity jumped around us. I then felt a new tail grow from my back and snake out of my jacket.
“Tail Spike, a good quirk, I’m curious as to why it was given to a Nomu that was obviously made to move heavy objects and not fight,” I said, looking at him.
“Hmm, fine, you have a version of his quirk at least. So, what do you want with me?” he asked.
“Simple, Nomu. You can make them without my quirk so that means you probably have a way to remove or copy quirks and transfer them to the creatures. I would like to be able to receive Nomu whenever I need them,” I explained.
“Hmm, I’m not sure I can fully trust you for now,” he said, turning around and walking into the darkness. “Kurogiri can take you away for now. I’m still not sure you’re truly his heir and need to think about this,” he muttered, walking off. “Also return the quirk!”
I gave the Nomu the quirk back and looked at Kurogiri who nodded. As a portal opened. I walked through back to the bar just as Jirou looked up from the couch.
“Ass,” she said, looking at me.
“Why thank you, I think I have a great one too,” I said, taking the mask off. “Where’s the others?”
“Training room, going up against Decay again. No quirk fighting. I decided to sit out since someone decided to knock me out,” Jirou added.
“Our enemies won’t hold back so I won’t hold back much,” I said. “You forget, I was fighting you all quirkless.”
“Still hurts like a mother trucker.”
“I’ll get Hatsume to build you all armour to move around in while fighting. For now let’s go down and I can explain the underground world to all of you,” I said, offering her a hand.
She took it and stood up stumbling a bit.
“I think I can walk about as straight as I am,” she joked.
“Gay,” I chuckled, helping her down to see Tokage and Ashido dodging Tomura. I could tell from the aggressive style that he was using, throwing punches and kicks their way.
“If you would do the honors,” I said looking at Shinso who was standing to the side with an ice pack on his head.
“Hey guys,” he said.
“Yeah?” Tokage asked.
“What?” Ashido asked.
The two of them immediately froze as Tomura stopped his onslaught.
“I’ve only lived with you all here for a week and a half and I know not to respond verbally when you’re fighting with him around because he will activate his quirk on you,” Tomura sighed.
“At least he’s learned that it’s only during training,” Shinso said.
“Alright, everyone let’s go to the meeting room and I will explain everything to you,” I said, leading Jirou to it.
The room was smaller than the sparing room and had a large table with chairs in the middle. I added a projector to the room as well in case we needed it. I watched as everyone else came in and sat down with Tokage and Ashido no longer being under Shinso’s quirk. I noticed that Decay sat down too and looked at me with a smile letting me know that it was Tenko who knew less. A few minutes later Hatsume came in covered in grease and grime.
“So, the underworld has four main categories that everyone falls into. Criminals, Yakuza who we won’t be dealing with, Villains, and a newer group that I don’t know too much about,” I explained. “Within each one there are more subgroups. In the villain group there is our group, the Shadows, a group that follows Stain, and then we get to the less savory ones. There’s the Creature Rejection Clan who are anti-mutant, there’s the Inhuman Supremacy Party who are filled with people who have strange mutations similar to our alien over here,” I said, motioning to Ashido who smiled at the name. “Then there’s the White Fang, they started as just a group of protesters for animalistic mutants but have recently started to become much more aggressive. I actually knew the second head of the group so I plan on asking her what happened soon. But there’s also a group of people who are fighting for less heroes and to defund them so that it’s not a popularity contest for money and fame but is actually what heroics originally were. I bring this group up because I know that at least two ex-sidekicks are part of it. They could be a valuable ally to our group.”
“I agree, and I can build more babies if we have more people,” Hatsume said.
“We have to be picky about who we have join our group however,” I said. “Our main group should be just us for now, maybe if there are like minded people we have them join us but don’t bring them fully into the fold yet. As for others, we can treat them like lackeys. Help us when we need more bodies,” I explained.
“That could be good,” Jirou agreed.
“So should we start putting out flyers or something?” Tokage asked.
“No, we use an info broker. There’s a few good ones, I’ll reach out if we need them,” I said.
“So, what’s with the Yakuza?” Shinso asked.
“Basically I don’t know if we can fully trust them to help us or want to help us. The one that I have recently heard about in the underworld is the Shie Hassaikai. They deal mostly in drugs such as Trigger, however recently I have noticed that there are some new drugs that are actually weakening a person’s quirk. I believe that they are producing it and if they get drugs that can do more to a quirk then it would be beneficial for us to just remove them from the board and not be associated with them in any form,” I explained.
“Wow, drugs that weaken quirks. That could make it so that it’s easier to fight heroes if you can inject them,” Tenko spoke up.
“Still, we can’t do anything with them, that would make us look worse once we get done with everything.”
“So, any word from our girl undercover?” Tokage asked.
“Not much, just that she’s found a way to cheat the system into UA,” I chuckled.
“How?” Hatsume spoke up, setting down the device she pulled out of nowhere.
“Her phone. Turns out the entrance exam is fighting robots that are remote controlled so she’s going to interrupt their signals with a phone.”
“I- wanna know what, I don’t think I want to ask for all the things she did to learn that,” Tokage sighed.
“Probably only twenty percent illegal. She’s trying to be a hero,” I said.
“Twenty percent, isn’t that more than a hero should want to do?” Ashido asked.
“Corruption at its finest. Nezu will probably see her as someone to take under his paw and personally train,” I chuckled. “Now, I’m going to go on a small walk so if you need me ask Kurogiri to get me,” I added, walking out the door.
I started to walk through the streets of the Kamino Ward when I heard a loud thud in an alleyway not too far from me. I made my way to the entrance of the alley and looked in to see a horrifying image. A girl with dirty blonde hair and a school uniform was covered in blood and was limping towards me.
“Give me your blood,” she said, lunging at me before collapsing.
“Crap!” I yelled, running up and checking on her. “Kurogiri!” I called, using a quirk to allow him to hear me.
