Chapter Text
"What...?"
Was all Akutagawa could hear escape his mouth as he hears what comes out of the black-cloaked man's mouth.
Kim Dokja? Kim Dokja being thrown off the bridge they were crossing a few days prior, and the man saying Kim Dokja would come back?
What kind of bullshit was that?
Did he seriously believe Akutagawa would be dumb enough to believe that?
"Didn't we see a literal monster under that bridge? You believe he's going to survive after being eaten by it?!" Kim Namwoon said as he pointed at the man, being slightly agitated by the man.
The man only weirdly... Weirdly to Akutagawa, looked at Kim Namwoon and said nothing.
Until he did.
"... Yes."
Akutagawa scowled lowly, coughing into his wrist.
"And who are you to tell such bullshit?" Akutagawa says as he glares at Jonghyuk, who stares back at him at least.
Was he supposed to feel scared of this guy? No. He doesn't care, honestly. The others seem to be intimidated by the guy, except for the weak bastard whining about it.
Akutagawa dislikes Han Myungoh. He was never one to like weaklings anyway.
:[The Constellation 'The Opposing Twin Forces' is chuckling at the situation]
Does he have a constellation who laughs at the most random things? What sort of Constellation did he accept?
... He wouldn't know.
"Yoo Jonghyuk."
The person in front of him, saying that Kim Dokja was probably alive, was Yoo Jonghyuk.
... Hm.
Should Akutagawa just call out Rashomon?
Nevermind, he'd save his energy instead.
Akutagawa said nothing after that, he doesn't need to. He will let the others, Lee Hyunsung for example, do the talking and so on.
Instead, he'll look at something else to preoccupy him with time. He had too many thoughts to think over in his mind right now. And they were not very pleasant.
[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' is curious]
He didn't like this.
This sudden... Attachment to the people around him.
Being in this situation, in some sort of place he doesn't even know of in South Korea when he was never meant to be here In the first place. Was he supposed to know he will be hit by an ability strong enough to send him to another country, where an apocalypse just started once he sat down on a Subway's seat?
he shouldn't. He shouldn't be here. He should not be surrounded by people who are much more kind-hearted than he will ever is.
All he is is just a weak, pathetic mafioso who will never satisfy Dazai where Dazai will praise him. At least once.
But, that will never happen will it?
He can't be disappointed over this. It just shows how weak he is, not to mention getting underwhelmed by such emotions and thoughts is not like him at all.
...
He ended up exploring the place with Kim Namwoon and Lee Gilyoung.
The boy was near him and had activated his insect ability before, as they unfortunately ran into some bastards who decided to act a little to cocky and pick a fight.
Not that any of them were complaining, though.
Kim Namwoon had fun, seeing the bastards go down in defeat and scream. It was probably the most noticeable feature on his face, as he activated his ability and slashed through the enemies.
Not that Akutagawa complained as well, he did not mind. Fighting some punks was nothing he wasn't used to.
He just disliked the fact some of them were aiming for Rashomon. His ability.
He could not have expected they would aim to discard his cloak, of all things. However, those guys were quickly shocked by the fact his cloak ability is powerful.
So, he did the most logical thing in this situation.
Show them who is the weakling here.
Which is, obviously, them.
He didn't mind the kid, Lee Gilyoung.
He wasn't that bad. Quiet, but he can see why Kim Dokja saved the boy.
Or he had grown soft himself.
Or it was Kim Dokja just being-
Nevermind.
He should work on distancing himself from them, it was not good for him. He preferred to be alone anyway. He was always satisfied with working alone on missions, but unfortunately, he had to have someone like that stupid Jinko around him.
Oh, right, they had to go back to Lee HyunSung and Yoo Sangah.
