Alastor took in a soothing breath as he re-entered hell, sure his magical friends may find this choice absurd, but they did understand it. he’s a peryton after all and what’s the better place for a spirit of vengeance to be then toying with the sinners trying to live in hell?
Even if he’s not been present there in person, his shadow and hunters have still visited on regular basis if not outright those few who choses to live there dominantly. It allowed him to stay in the magical world with attention put there for as long as it needed, and not leave him unaware of the ongoings of hell.
That the trip to the magical world took as long as it did was accidental, but such things happens even if it where longer then he’d preferred.
Yet for a overlord who really only became one due to technicality and lack true territory outside of the various houses he’s gathered all over the magical world and few he scattered over hell, as he travels. He have gathered a large number of servants of some kind or another.
From vassals and subordinates, to the more animated ones of his dolls and puppets... the shadows he wields and even his reapers. All varying in awareness and sentience, with shadows being clearly inhuman and both his dolls and puppets while aware it’s limited to akin a child’s just naming a little of it. each differ from the other with some allowed to live freely outside of their duty or whatever work he put on them that is.
perhaps he should look around and see the changes for himself before he broadcasts his return for them all to hear with potential guess of course... but he got one place to go to first, before he could do any hunt again.
