Gem, Fwhip, Keralis and Xisuma were sitting in the living room. Gem and FWhip had been living with them for the last four months. They had just gotten a letter from the court saying that the twins would need to attend a court meeting with their parents. Once the police got involved with the parents more and more information was confronted and discovered.
“Due to law you have the choice if you want to go or not.”
Gem had had a panic attack when the letter arrived. Either twin knew what to do. Because neither wanted to see their parents but they wanted them to go and get their parents properly convicted.
“Let's do this.”
The twins exited the court house. Fwhip pulled his suit jacket off and flung it over his shoulders laying it on his back. Gem walked beside him, her small green dress swishing around her legs.
“We did it. We did it.”
“Yes we did Fwhip. Now be quiet please.”
Pearl and sausage ran up to them and embraced them tightly though Sausage seemed to hold Gem a bit longer then what could be deemed necessary. But she didn't care.
“One thing out of the way.”
“Yes, now finals.”
The boys and Pearl growed at Gem’s cherry voice.
“How can you be excited about finals?”
“I don't know, I just am.”
“You thoroughly confuse me Gemini Tay Grim.”
“Thanks.”
“I don't know if that's something to be proud of.”
“I am. Don't squish my life.”
“That's not the quote.”
“I don't care about pearls.”
The four of them walked down the street. If anyone noticed how close Sausage walked to Gem they didn't comment on it. The four of them made their way to the house. Xisuma was writing something, Keralis was bustling around the kitchen.
“Well?”
“We fu- ow! Gem!”
Gem smiled as she pushed him.
“We did it.”
“Congratulations.”
“Yay!”
“We also got something else when we were there.”
Xisuma looked at Keralis, the twins.
“What did you get?”
“Well two things, first one is the adoption papers.”
Fwhip placed them on the table.
“You're joking.”
Xisuma said in shock.
“nope take a look for yourselves,”
“And second-”
Gem continued.
“We found Exisona.”
X now held his head and shook it.
“No it's impossible.”
“We found him shashwamy. He is finding the next flight here.”
Xisuma was crying by this point.
“No, you're joking.”
“Nope, why would I lie to you sweet face, especially on this.”
Gem and Fwhip took Sausage and Pearl up to their rooms.
“So I got everyone to record a job then I edited it together if you want to watch what we do?”
“Yes, what the hell does my brother work with?”
Gem pulled up the video of them working a few nights previously. The video starts with Grian screaming.
“Grian stop it.”
“No.”
Then he continued screaming.
“Grian shut up please.”
“Fine.”
Scar and Grian went into the house leaving Skizz, Impulse and Gem in the van.
“Breaker!”
“Thanks.”
“Freezing!”
“That's early.”
Skizz and Impulse looked at Gem then each other they all nodded Gem went back to watching the cameras as the boys left now all four boys inside desired to play a little experiment.
“Touch the flashlights if you are here?”
It turned on, Grian screamed.
“Gem, what was the ghost name?”
“Rose Laner.”
“Thanks.”
“If you are here with us Rose Laner please turn off the flashlight in three…. Two ….. One.”
It turned off.
“Nope I’m going out, see you all later.”
The door slammed in his face.
“Hunt.”
“Run.”
The cameras shook as they sprinted around the house. The lights turned back on.
“Hunt over.”
“Okay she does want us to leave.”
“Are you boys sure?”
“I think.”
“I will do tests with you if you want to be sure.”
“Okay.”
Gem entered the house and she sat in a closet with Impulse. The other three were just outside. She tied the blind fold and put on the headphones.
“Gem?”
They didn't get a response.
“Why are you here?”
“Scared.”
“Are you Rose Larner?”
“I know.”
“What do you know?”
“Twins.”
“The ghost type or did you have other siblings?”
“Fear.”
Grian went to go to the emf once it was going off.
“Stay.”
“You want Grian to stay?”
“Close, chair, oven, mine.”
Skizz looked at Impulse.
“What was that?”
“You know.”
“I don't understand what you mean.”
“Help.”
“You want help?”
“Yes.”
They gasped.
“How did you die?”
“Dismembered, burned.”
Scar gasped.
“Who?”
“Old love.”
“Wasn’t she killed by her ex-boyfriend and friend?”
“She was.”
“Kill.”
“What type of ghost are you?”
“Run.”
Then a hunt triggered. Impulse grabbed Skizz and closed the closest door. Scar and Grian ran to the closet. Impulse snapped Gem out.
“Did it?”
“Yes, but hunt.”
The hunt finished.
“Hunt over.”
“Okay so info?”
Gem asked when they all got together.
“So we found out who ever died that we were talking to - we assume Rose - was dismembered and burned-”
Gem gasped.
“- by their old lover and friend.”
“That's horrible.”
“And it kept saying that I like, I know, and you also knew some death and it didn't want Grian to leave.”
“That's odd.”
“Emf 5!”
They turned because Grian had the emf in his hand. It was red.
“We have a freezer, a spirit box and emf 5, let's get out.”
They got to the van.
“Twins?”
“Yup let's go.”
And the video cut. Pearl mouth was agape. Fwhip sat there smiling because he had heard the details of what happened with the demon hunt.
“Got to love that a ghost loved Grian.”
Pearl said.
“Well after some research Grian and one of the boys were similar to Rose’s friends and so it makes sense that they wanted him to stay.”
“So my brother had a ghost attachment to him?”
“No, the ghost didn’t ask him. I am the only one in the group to ever have an attachment.”
Sausage finally snapped out of it.
“What?”
“You ghost latched on to me and wouldn’t let go of me. They had grabbed my shoulder. They were prisoners in a prison. Just out of town and from then on we don’t do prisons.”
“Do you have a scar on your shoulder?”
“Yup.”
Gem pulled her sleeve off her shoulder and Six fingers were burned into her flesh.
“Now I have a hand to match.”
She showed the wrist mark. The door opened and Keralis placed the planets on the table and smiled then left. They passed out the plates and they sat in their normal places around the room. Pearl on the floor, Fwhip on the desk, Sausage on a chair, and Gem on the bed. Pearl smiled.
“Forgot to tell you all this when it happened, due to you know. But I aced my trig test and my test on Grimland and Mythland.”
“Congrats Pearl.”
They talked for hours and Pearl and Sausage desired to stay over. Sausage had moved closer to Gem. Later that night he turned it on her.
“Gem, can I kiss you?”
“Sure.”
“Finally”
