Chapter Text
*Beep beep beep*
Regulus rolled over and chucked his phone across the room.
That of course didn't stop the alarm though, so he had to get up and fix it.
As he slowly walked across his room, he realized that it wasn't his alarm that had woken him up, no it was his notifications.
He bent down and picked up his phone, there was a small crack from when he had thrown it but otherwise it was fine.
He quickly put on do not disturbed and unlocked his phone and was blown away by the amount of messages he had received.
He opened up Instagram to see that him and James were trending.
James had been right it did help out the bands, not that regulus was every going to admit that.
He tossed his phone on his desk, and went into his kitchen and made some coffee, then went and sat down.
He was daydreaming when a loud knock from his front door shook him out of his thoughts.
He got up and threw open the door just to see Barty' Evan and pandora standing in front of him.
"Oh hi-" regulus was saying but Barty cut him off.
"What the fuck regulus, James potter out of all people James potter!?" he all but screamed.
Regulus sighed and opened the door a bit more to let them in and Barty shoved past him.
Pandora grinned at him and patted his shoulder; she was the only one that knew about the crush he had
on James.
Once they all had sat down and Barty screamed at him, he decided to tell the truth.
"I, we James and me... were not really dating" regulus said rubbing the back of his neck.
"What do you mean?" Evan asked confusion dancing across his face.
"Were fake dating" regulus breathed out.
Barty looked shocked but settled down immediately at the fact that the dating wasn't real.
But pandora was completely the opposite.
"Reg... are you sure you want to do this; I don't want you to get hurt."
"I'll be fine pandora I swear" crossing his fingers as he said it.
Evan stared at the wordless conversation regulus and pandora seemed to be having together.
Finally, Barty broke the silence. "You should talk to Dorcas and make a plan then" he said.
All regulus could do was nod.

Regulus spun in his chair as he waited for Dorcas.
The door finally creaked and there was a hungover looking Dorcas meadows.
Before regulus could get anything out of his mouth Dorcas said, "make it quick black I don't have all day."
Regulus sighed and stared rambling about the situation.
Just as he was about to keep going Dorcas put a hand up.
"As your manger I think it will be a huge and good step for the band but as your friend you shouldn't fake date someone that you have had a crush on for years." Dorcas said.
Regulus nods waiting for her to say more.
"But your stubborn and will keep on going with this stupid plan so my best advice to you is to hang out with him and try to be nice to him. Oh, also kiss him a couple times in front of the cameras, or not your choice' Dorcas says wiggling her eyebrows.
A faint blush rises on his cheeks as he stands and rushes out the door.
Once he's outside he gets out his phone and shoots James a text.

James and him are standing outside the movie theater waiting for a cab to pick them up.
James is rambling about the movie they watched, and regulus carefully listens.
His brother apparently had been furious at James for saying what he said at the concert, but once James had explained to him, he was ok with it.
James had told Sirius to act pissed off when asked about it because it made it sound more real.
Regulus blew on his hands and the spotted a paparazzi.
He waved at the camera smirking as he did so.
The cab pulled up and James was still rambling about the movie, regulus moved to open the door for James.
James smiled at him and climbed inside.
As regulus was about to step forward but something hit his back causing him to go falling forward and his head crashing into the car door.
The last thing he saw before he fell unconcise was James horrified eyes.
