Chapter Text
Okay last thing that’s gonna go in this book lol.
From the very beginning I wanted to write 2 endings for the book. Originally I was going to end Home Is Not A House at that and not write a sequel. I continued on but I still knew I wanted to write two endings.
I wanted to write a soft fluff kinda “happy ever after ending” because sometimes all people want is that. I also wanted to write an angst ending because look at the rest of the book, this thing is 97% angst. I’m an angst author.
I decided to share the original endings (well the concepts) I had in mind, and the two endings I thought of for where the last chapter left off. I hope y’all enjoy, and I hope this brings some sort of closure. I didn’t really want to end it like this, but as is such.
- Original ending, fluff verison.
The original ending was going to be with Tommy packing up his car as he left to go to college with Tubbo and Ranboo. Tommy would be driving his car, Tubbo and Ranboo driving their truck. Tommy would be 18.
They’d be outside in front of the house, Phil being all sappy dad while Wilbur and Techno came back to the house just to help Tommy pack up and say goodbye.
Wilbur would have been living with (and engaged to) Quackity. He’d be working as a musician, and actually making some good money from it. He’d have one of Storm’s babies with him and Quackity (Karl and Sapnap are also there, Quackity is engaged to three people now lmao) so he always has a piece of Storm with him. He’d be pretty happy, and actually able to start to get over some of his trauma.
Techno would have been living with Eret and Niki, the three of them having bought a house together. Techno would be working at the college, doing research about Ancient Greek mythology and teaching an English class. He’d be able to bake on the weekends and he got a telescope to be able to study the stars at bit.
Both of them come home for weekly dinners and a movie night.
But Tommy was ready to go to college, his mental health was the best it had ever been. He was excited to go with Tubbo and Ranboo too, though the college was hours and hours away. It was going to be scary to be away from Phil and his brothers, but Puffy was able to transfer agencies to the college town. Just until Tommy finished college at least.
And Storm was going with Tommy. One of her babies would be staying with Phil.
So Phil was able to let Tommy go. The house was going to be quiet, but he was ready for a bit a quiet. He loved his boys but the years of chaos was catching up to him, so a bit of quiet would do him well before all his hairs turn grey. He still invites everyone to the weekly dinners, and people show up when they can.
Things were good, all of them were happy, they were able to heal enough to be able to move forward. Life was the best it had ever been.
- Original ending, angst verison.
The angst ending was going to be Tommy sitting in therapy, but not with Dr. Simon. It would be a completely new therapist, because Tommy didn’t live in town anymore. Tommy actually hadn’t spoken to his family in a while.
In this ending Tommy would be 20, and after he turned 18 he moved out to California. He lived in the same town they visited years before. He actually didn’t speak to Tubbo or Ranboo anymore because he moved out here, neither of them could visit this place again let alone deal with the fact that Tommy willingly went back to a place that caused them pain.
He didn’t talk to his brothers anymore because before he left he got into a fight with Phil. He fought with Phil because Phil didn’t want him to move so far, especially since his mental health never really got better. Tommy said he didn’t need anyone to watch over him, Phil said he was just worried. Tommy yelled at him not to be worried, and said he never needed him to worry.
He ended up yelling at Phil saying that he never needed Phil in the first place, and out of anger he said he wished he never met Phil or the others. Phil forgave Tommy for this, but Wilbur and Techno couldn’t. Either way Tommy had them blocked in his phone. They couldn’t reach out to him if they tried.
So Tommy was suffering, he was miserable, he had no friends, he worked a shitty job, and his family, the family he spent years trying to hold onto, was gone. He blocked puffy too, so he was truly alone.
So he’s talking to this therapist about it all, and the therapist admits he’s not sure how to help Tommy. Tommy leaves the session feeling like there truly was no hope for him. He decided that he was truly going to end it this time. He wished he could talk to his family one more time, so he decides to try and call Phil.
Phil had forgiven him so hopefully Phil would pick up the phone. But when Tommy tried to call Phil’s number it gave the disconnected message. Tommy tried calling his brothers and got the same thing. They had all changed their numbers, there was no way to talk to any of them. There was no one to help him back out this.
So he gives up, and his family never even finds out about it. To their knowledge, Tommy is in California and happy.
- New fluff ending
So this is directly after the last chapter right? Well of course Phil will be fine, he’s all better and out of the hospital.
They go home where they meet Storm’s babies for the first time. Which btw the names myself and the beta team picked out were Rain, Thunder, Lightning and Snow.
They were going to keep Thunder, so they had Thunder/Storm. The rest of the babies would go to their friends, and ofc when they came for the monthly dinners they would bring the cats along with them.
And what happened to Phil would be a wake up call for them all. They would all truly put in the effort to get better, and it worked. They all truly deserved everything good and they got everything good.
Life would continue on until it reached the point of the original fluff ending.
- New angst ending
Again this is directly after the last chapter.
Phil wouldn’t make it. They would now have to deal with losing their father and this was something none of them ever thought they would have to deal with. They all had mommy issues, and now dead dad issues?
Tommy would have to go live with Puffy, and she refused to let him rot away. Techno and Wilbur on the other hand were alone. They shut everyone out, Wilbur broke up with Quackity too. It then becomes they hide away from each other.
They give Storm to Tommy and Puffy, along with the baby they had kept.
Techno truly shuts down, to the point where he has to go back on the feeding tube and eventually be moved into a home for people who need help existing.
Wilbur on the other hand goes crazy. He ends up in the psych ward again, and he’s on a permanent stay basis. He can’t cope with anything and he’s lost every bit of himself. He isn’t really Wilbur anymore.
Techno ends up passing away, and Wilbur is as good as dead. Tommy has lost his family, and he’s shut out Tubbo and Ranboo.
Puffy tries to help Tommy, she truly does, but by the time Tommy is 18 he’s truly gone, he hasn’t been the same since they lost Phil.
He leaves Puffy after he’s 18, because he knows she can’t file a missing persons report since he was 18 and she never legally adopted him after Phil passed, just let him live with her. Tommy wouldn’t have gotten rid of his last name anyway, and she already considered him her son, but he’s gone.
They were all truly gone.

Well, there you have it all.
There are so many things about this series that I will never forget. Posting chapters and having loads of people comment on it, having people basically live react as they read in the discord server, having people make fan art (which btw could be found in the hinah alt book, it’s so beautiful look what people were able to create)
And there are so many people I want to thank, solely for the fact that without them this series would not exist. For one Vampy, they are the reason why I started his book in the first place. Then there’s Nug, the one who has truly been here from the beginning, the first one who knew about the sequel before I posted the first chapter. There’s all my beta team, past and present.
There’s all my discord children who I wouldn’t have met if they weren’t sad lil gays reading minecraft fan fiction. There’s every “regular” who I loved seeing comment on chapters as soon as I post
And there’s all of you, all of you who read every word I shared. All of you who clicked on this book at least once, and if you’ve gotten this far obviously more than once.
I hope you all decide to hang around to see what’s next. I have ideas for original stories (along with some ideas for other fandoms *cough cough* Good Omens *cough cough*)
If you don’t then that’s okay too, I just hope you enjoyed what I wrote while I wrote it. Writing has and always will be a passion of mine, the content of it just changes.
