Chapter Text
The next day, the Hero Association HQ had sent a letter that afternoon in regards of Genos' absence and being 'unable' to return their calls.
Of course, Genos dutifully took full responsibility - regardless of every single thing Saitama had said to him - and promptly left the apartment with an apologetic kiss to his angered lover - promising he'll be right back.
Saitama's now sipping the third cup of tea Genos had made for him, aimlessly watching the news and then to the raindrops pelting upon the window.
He spies upon Genos' ever-increasing stack of notebooks and a sly grin overtakes him.
Assuming that the first on the stack is the newest Saitama flips to a fresh page, all the while forcing his eyes not to wander the completed ones.
Arming himself with a pencil, he begins to write.
Genos,
For once I was so scared in a dream. I kept picking up your broken arms in the dark. But I heard you calling out to me. It's like you brought me back to the surface. I swear, even when you lose a few limbs you're still just as selfless as you are stubborn. I want you to know that I'm very thankful. I don't really show it well and I kinda suck at that. Sorry.
And I'm so used to taking care of myself, but now I'm not entirely sure of how I'd manage without you. You make every day brighter for me. So, thank you for that too.
And I love you so much it hurts. But it's okay! It's supposed to. ;)
And I'm so damn happy you've fallen in love with a ridiculous guy like me. I won't ever be able to say 'I love you' enough. And yeah, I'm a real hypocrite - saying words aren't really necessary and all - but I thought you wouldn't mind having another letter to read and burn (or whatever). I don't need some fan club. I have the Sweetheart Cyborg all to myself.
And you're still something kinda wonderful.
See ya soon,
Saitama :-D
Satisfied, he drops the pencil to curl up into warm hoodie sleeves, resting a heavy head on the table. He leaves the notebook pressed to the page, soon spotted with drops of oil later that evening.
