Chapter Text

There was a momentary silence before you glanced between Lizzie and Wanda. The latter was tense, her hand clung into a fist and looking everywhere but at the actress.

"Sure," you responded numbly, and Lizzie nodded once, gesturing for the two of you to follow her. She led you and Wanda to a room in the back of the book store, looking around before locking the door behind you guys. "What do you want to talk about?"

"I saw you," Lizzie didn't look at you, instead at your girlfriend. Wanda crossed her arms, tilting her head.

"Saw what?"

Lizzie rolled her eyes, taking a seat on the sofa and gesturing for you and Wanda to take the seat across from her. "I saw the way your eyes glowed back in Disney. Scarlett saw it too, you can't deny it."

Wanda slumped down onto the sofa opposite of Lizzie, their eyes never leaving the others. "So what if my eyes did glow, what about it?"

"You're from the multiverse," Lizzie cut straight to the point. You glanced between the two of them nervously. You knew it would definitely end messily if it got into a fight. And everyone in the room knew how it would end. "You're Wanda–" Lizzie spared a glance your way. "Are you from the multiverse too?"

You sputtered at the sudden attention from the actress. "Umm... no. I mean like I've visited the multiverse before but I'm not really-really from the multiverse. I'm from this Earth." You chuckled nervously at the ending, cursing yourself for the embarrassing display.

"Cute," Lizzie smirked, glancing back towards Wanda, who was staring murderously at Wanda. "You're paying for this room if you break anything."

Lizzie seems nonchalantly about the whole situation, as if she wasn't surprised by the fact that the multiverse exists. Wanda looked shocked by the lack of fear in the actress's eyes. "Are you not afraid of me?"

"Why will I be afraid of you?"

"I can kill you with a wave of my hands!" Wanda exclaimed. You placed a hand on her thigh to calm her down.

"Yes you can," Lizzie sat up from her relaxed position on the sofa. "But you won't. Because I know you, Wanda. I played your character in this universe, and I know how you feel. A good actor isn't just someone who can say those words. A good actor studies their character, like I study Wanda... or you for this example. I know how you feel. I know what you think. You won't kill someone if you don't need to, Wanda. And your fingers are black, which means this is a post-multiverse of madness Wanda. I know you."

Wanda's eyes widened at those words. "Okay."

You glanced between the two of them, feeling a little bit like you were interrupting a private conversation.

"Okay," Lizzie agreed, turning to give you a small smile.

"But if you steal my girlfriend I have the right to kill you," Wanda added, pulling you even closer to her chest. You giggled, melting into Wanda's embrace. Lizzie just smiled in response.

You glanced at Wanda. "Stop trying to threaten my favorite actress."

"So, I'm your favorite," Lizzie teased, her shoulder more relaxed than before. You stuttered, a blush coloring your cheek. Lizzie's smirk only grows. She turned to Wanda. "You found a cute one."

Your blush only deepened and Wanda scowled, arms tightening around you. "Thank you, I am quite a catch, I know. Please hold the applause."

Lizzie laughed, and Wanda scowled. But at the end of the meeting, no one died, so you called that a success. You left the venue with one of your favorite actresses' phone numbers. And if the sex with Wanda that night left you sitting weirdly for the next three days, well... It was worth it.

---

Saturday rolled around again and you found yourself sitting across Megan.

"Guess what?" Megan's eyes lit up the second you sat down, and before you even had the chance to get comfortable, she was already speaking. "Scarlett Johansson messaged me on tiktok! Okay, maybe it could be the person running the outset TikTok account BUT STILL! SHE TEXTED ME."

You glanced around the restaurant, shooting the couple in a few booths from you with an apologetic look. You grabbed Megan's wrist. "Quiet down, babes. You don't want the whole restaurant knowing your personal life."

"What if I want them to know?" Megan challenged. You raised an eyebrow in response and she sighed. "Fine, no one needs to know my business." She leaned in and whispered. "Do you know my girlfriend–"

You plugged your ears. "LALALA! NOPE! I can't do this today."

Megan pouted, but you refused to look at her. Megan was dating your sister, and there was no way you wanted to know what your sister's sex life was like. It was bad enough when they first started dating and during Thanksgiving all you could see was them making out in the corner, now they were even more comfortable with each other. "Your sister–"

"STILL DON'T WANT TO KNOW!" You were talking louder than you probably should and you knew you were being a hypocrite but nope, your sister's sex life is off the table.

Megan rolled her eyes and pulled your hands away from your ears. "Stop being such a dramatic bitch. Look." Megan showed you her left hand and you let out a tiny squeak.

"OH MY GOSH! That idiot finally got around to proposing?" Your eyes widened and you took your best friend's left hand into your own to inspect the rings. There was a huge diamond in the center, and you knew Megan was more than in love with the ring. Your sister had been talking about proposing for as long as you remember and you're happy that she finally proposed but-

"My sister didn't even tell me she's proposing to my best friend?!"

"Shut up, Y/n/n, now who's attracting attention?" Megan shoved you back down into your seat when you jumped up in excitement. You rolled your eyes. "And I told her not to tell you, I get best friend privilege, I get to tell you first."

You grinned, and Megan shoved you. "Awwwww, you loveee me."

"No, I don't."

"We're going to be sister-in-law," you sang teasingly, and Megan scowled, but there was a hint of a smile behind her face. "You'll need to deal with me for the rest of your life."

"Sounds like hell," she teased, and now you shoved her.

"I won't tell you how meeting Elizabeth Olsen was, then."

Megan gasped, a look of betrayal crossed her face. "You met Elizabeth Olsen?!"

"Yep, I dragged Wanda to that event downtown, and I guess she recognized us from Disney. And I think Wanda threatened her, but overall, I thought it could had ended worse," you shrugged. "We've been texting everyday, she's a really funny person to talk to."

"Don't let Wanda hear you say that," Megan joked, looking around the the restaurant. "Speaking of Wanda, where is she?"

You shrugged again. "Not sure, she told me she need to 'deal with something'. Which can range somewhere between running erand to killing someone, so I try not to think too much about it."

But later that night when news came up that actress Elizabeth Olsen was stolen from set and that the only thing witness saw was a set of glowing red eyes, you knew what had happened.
