Chapter Text
Kim Dokja was completely. Utterly. Entirely. Flabbergasted.
“Dokja-yah?” Lee Sookyung moved her attention to her son, gently clasping his soft hand into hers. “Why are you crying? I told you to stop looking at these comments…” she smoothly shifted to the coffee table, grabbing the remote controller to turn off the distracting TV.
Hold on. Did she just ask, whether he was crying?
“C’mon, Dokja-yah. Take this napkin. Your face is full of snot and tears.” a piece of clothing appeared in front of him, carefully opting him to accept it.
Ah.
Ah.
His vision blurred when he raised his fingers to touch his eyelids, wetness appearing on the tip of his fingers as he blinked several times, hoping for the blurriness to go away. However, the more he closed and opened his eyes, the more the tears came, causing him cry uncontrollably. Ashamed, he lowered his head, letting small droplets of tears drench his thighs.
“Appa? Appa! What’s wrong?” Kim Dokja felt Biyoo’s hands appearing on his back, attempting to comfort him as he sobbed even more, touched by his daughter’s gesture.
“I just…” before Kim Dokja even finished his sentence, his phone started to vibrate. The lock screen was flooded with several notifications from his companions.
‘@yoo_sangah: Dokja-ssi, are you alright?’
‘@heheewon: dokja-yah should we come over and chase those flies away? u’ll get to see ur precious kind bodyguard again’
‘@lee.h: Do you need our aid, Dokja-ssi??’
‘@9158._.forever: we’ll fight them off for u, Dokja-yah!! ヽ (` ⌒ ´ メ ) ノ ’
As he read each message, tears welled in his eyes. With each scroll, he took a deep breath, trying his best to calm down. When a new notification arrived in his inbox, he froze, his heart racing with anticipation after finishing reading it.
‘@bf_empress: look oitside’
‘@bf_empress: *outside’
Kim Dokja’s legs straightened immediately and he ran towards the window, sweat and tears streaming down his face. Not caring about his current appearance, he swung the blinds, feeling shocked as he observed the situation playing in front of his eyes like a comedic survival show. However, it seemed that the only ones that were metaphorically fighting for their lives were the paparazzi.
Uriel and Jung Heewon were aggressively smashing every camera they saw with all the strength they had as Lee Hyunsung was protecting both women from the rude paparazzi that were trying to interrupt their destructive behaviors. Yoo Sangah’s rolled documents became an ultimate weapon feared by every employer and employees, smacking the intruder’s heads and loudly reciting paragraphs about violation of privacy and trespassing like bible verses. Han Sooyoung and Yoo Joonghyuk were escorting the beaten-up cameramen away with stoic expressions, whispering threats to each person that was unwilling to give up on stalking their idol.
When the manager and the bodyguard noticed their star’s presence, Han Sooyoung devilishly grinned and waved at Salvation while Yoo Joonghyuk’s face softened, relieved to see Kim Dokja safe and sound.
“What are you guys doing?!” Kim Dokja raised his voice after opening the windows, catching everyone’s attention. The idol was about to jump out before he stopped and noticed that barely any paparazzi were left.
“We’re doing Joonghyuk-ssi a favor.” The head of the security department sighed out, smashing an expensive-looking camera against the ground as the last paparazzi groaned in misery, having his head repeatedly slapped by the secretary’s papers and a silent mantra of the Punishment of Minor Offenses Act.
Kim Dokja was left speechless as all he could do was to stand like a dummy with mouth open in shock. Meanwhile Salvation was slowly recovering from the oh-so-dramatic sight, Biyoo and Lee Sookyung peeked behind the front doors, watching the drama from afar.
“Our job is done here.” Han Sooyoung cracked her knuckles, exchanging glances with Yoo Joonghyuk. “The rest is up to you, Joonghyukie.”
“Screw off.” The bodyguard tsked, pausing for a minute before a couple of unexpected words came out of his mouth.
“Thank you for your help.”
Upon hearing such a phrase spoken out, much less from Yoo Jonghyuk, each member had a different reaction. The still frozen Kim Dokja was even more flabbergasted, if anyhow possible, while Han Sooyoung’s gaze shifted away, scratching the back of her neck that got slightly flushed. Yoo Sangah lightly smiled next to the fangirling Uriel who had both of her hands squished on her beaming face. Lee Hyunsung’s expression morphed into a panicking one as he caught his fainting wife, internally screaming for help.
“We’ll take our leave, Joonghyuk-ssi.” Yoo Sangah slowly bowed to the bodyguard, urging her companions to return to the company. Right after most of the people left, the secretary turned her head to face Yoo Joonghyuk, playfully smirking at him as she threw some hand signs towards him. When Yoo Joonghyuk understood her words, he flipped her off and faced Kim Dokja’s mother and daughter, that dragged the stoned idol into the hallway in an unbelievable short time.
As the bodyguard approached the family, he awkwardly stood at the entrance with a timid expression, like he was waiting for something. Trying to hide his trembling hands, he shoved them into his black baggy jean’s pockets. A droplet of sweat ran across his hairline, making him appear like a teenage boy that was about to get scolded after breaking neighbor’s window.
While carefully watching his movements, Lee Sookyoung kept shifting her gaze from Yoo Joonghyuk to her precious son and back to him. She then smiled and opened her mouth as Biyoo held her hand.
“You can come in, Joonghyuk-ssi. Would you like to have a bit of time alone with Dokja-yah?”
The bodyguard seemed to be unmoving, but if you looked closer, you could see that he was nodding, just really timidly. The more the woman observed this man’s movements, the more her curiosity grew. Whenever Lee Sookyoung asked Kim Dokja about his new bodyguard, he would always compare him to an aggressive, arrogant and distant yet handsome pitbull with a permanent scowl. However, to Lee Sookyoung, this so-called-aggressive-arrogant-and-distant-yet-handsome-pitbull-with-a-permanent-scowl seemed to have the same appearance of an abandoned, scared puppy with droopy ears and a wagging tail. The anxious man in front of her very own eyes was not the same person her son described to her.
Just who the hell was he?
Nonetheless, for some reason, her guts were telling her that this two-faced bodyguard was worthy of her trust. She then remembered what Biyoo said when she saw Yoo Joonghyuk for the first time.
“Mia-yah’s oppa seems to care about appa a lot, right, halmoni?”
Back then, Lee Sookyoung thought that the little girl’s words were simply just a joke. Yoo Joonghyuk? That scary self-centered egoist with a fashion sense of an average emo male her son’s been talking about? Really?
But when Yoo Joonghyuk’s stiff shoulders relaxed as he heard Lee Sookyoung’s suggestion, the mother understood her granddaughter’s statement from the past. She really did.
Which was why she believed that Yoo Joonghyuk could perhaps deliver the salvation that the Salvation himself needed right now. She decided that the retired pro-gamer was trustworthy enough to be left alone with her son.
“Alright then. Biyoo-yah, shall we play UNO together in your room?”
“Okay halmoni!” Biyoo excitedly lead her grandmother upstairs, leaving her dad behind with his companion. Just when Biyoo and Lee Sookyoung disappeared from the hallway, the idol’s brain started to function again, considering that his limbs twitched, indicating that he had at least returned to the reality. He was, once again, shocked to see Yoo Joonghyuk crouching at the doorsteps. Turning his head in nearly 360° (bless his neck), he confirmed that it was only him and his bodyguard alone.
“Was it that shocking to see me thank someone, Kim Dokja?” The man’s whisper caught the idol’s attention, making him turn his body to the unexpected guest. “I thought you were about to pass out.”
“You never thanked me nor any of the staff members.” Kim Dokja blinked several times, trying to comprehend the situation he had found himself in. “But I suppose you’d only thank your loved ones, like Mia-yah or your girlfriend…”
“What?” Yoo Joonghyuk’s eyebrows perched up and eyes widened, standing up absurdly to stop only a few centimeters away from the retreating Salvation. “My girlfriend?”
“Yeah. I saw you with that blonde foreign woman a few days ago in Hayoung-ah’s café. I think she’s very cool and pretty, so I assumed she must have been your girlfriend?” Kim Dokja tilted his head, slightly lifting his mouth corners up to form an unfortunate smile as an ugly feeling was swelling in his stomach. The words lingered in his mouth with a bittersweet taste, but alas, where’s the wrong in acknowleding the truth? He should face it, because it’s the least Kim Dokja could do.
“She’s so lucky to have such a boyfriend like our Joonghyukie here~ Although, I’m surprised that she managed to tame you, hahaha!”
There’s no way she wasn’t Yoo Joonghyuk’s girlfriend, with how perfect they looked together in the café, like a match made in heaven.
Before Kim Dokja could unknowingly worsen his own pain, Yoo Joonghyuk stepped forward, closing the distance between him and the idol. In a swift motion, he slammed Kim Dokja against the nearest wall, pinning him in a powerful and commanding stance. Seeing Yoo Joonghyuk suddenly towering over him, his breath hitched in surprise, sensing a negative aura from the taller man. He wanted to turn his head away, but his cheeks were squeezed by oh-so familiar comforting hands.
“When have I ever said that I had a girlfriend?”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Kim Dokja.” Yoo Joonghyuk sighed, closing his eyes in order to take a break from the clueless star. “That woman from the coffee shop was my acquaintance. She’s a hacker with whom I used to compete a lot during my gaming career. She has nothing to do with my love life. “
“But Han Soo-“
“That witch has nothing to do with that as well.”
A heavy silence fell upon them as Kim Dokja gradually realized his mistake.
Kim Dokja was really, really stupid. Jumping to conclusions without confirming them in first place? How disgraceful!
He felt beyond disgusted and ashamed with himself as he noticed how relieved he was to hear that Yoo Joonghyuk was not taken. The more he spent time with his bodyguard, the more guilt and a feeling of need crawled under his skin. Perhaps it was for the best to end their friendship here for good, before this ugly feeling could take control over him, turning him into a greedy human being.
“Yoo Joonghyuk-ah,” Kim Dokja reached out to the retired pro-gamer, softly cupping the rough hands with his delicate palms on both sides of his cheeks. “I think it’s best for you to take a leave. This job is too difficult for you.” And so am I.
Yoo Joonghyuk’s emotions stirred up inside him, which lead to the force on the idol’s cheeks and the frown on the bodyguard’s face to deepen. Kim Dokja yelped when a stronger grip appeared under Yoo Joonghyuk’s hands, proceeding to make him blush from embarrassment.
“Who do you think you are to know what’s best for me and what’s not? I didn’t go through all the trouble to track down and take care of your harasser with Anna Croft.”
“Did you really have to go as far as posting that tweet from your official account?” Salvation’s voice quieted, faltering from distasteful emotions. “What if your fans start to hate you?”
“I don’t care.”
“It will ruin your reputation, Yoo Joonghyuk-ah.”
“So what?” Yoo Joonghyuk’s eyes that felt like piercing daggers focused on the idol, clenching and unclenching his jaw from temper. “I did it just for you.”
“But why would you do that?” Kim Dokja shook his head. “And why did you do it for me? What about your gaming career? Didn’t you think about the consequences? You worked hard for it, Yoo Joonghyuk-ah! The job that you dearly love so, so much, why would you throw it all just for me?!” Salvation’s chest moved upwards and downwards, hearing his own heart beating rapidly as he avoided his bodyguard’s fierce gaze. He dug his nails into Yoo Joonghyuk’s hands, not noticing the blood that slowly painted his fingers crimson.
“Because you’re worth it. Because I love you.” Yoo Joonghyuk muttered, lowering his gaze to avoid Kim Dokja’s stare.
Too immersed in his thoughts, it took some time for him to finally register what Yoo Joonghyuk answered. Of course, the almighty Yoo Joonghyuk would do something as foolish as falling in love with h-
Hold on. Falling in love? With whom again?
Something wasn’t right.
“You what?” Kim Dokja choked out, trying his best to control his breath. There’s no way Yoo Joonghyuk would’ve said such words. He must’ve misheard it. Because, after all, under all the layers of his loved-by-all idol persona as ‘Salvation’, he was just a mere reader. Bland side character, totally not meant for someone as perfect as that sunfish protagonist named Yoo Joonghyuk.
Kim Dokja was not a suitable lover. Surely, Yoo Joonghyuk would definitely not say honey-like words such as–
“I. Love. You.” Yoo Joonghyuk’s voice became as fragile as the first blooming flower in approaching spring, like a soft melody dancing across a gentle breeze, delivering delicate letters to the one to whom it was addressed to. It was completely different from the sturdy and hard-to-approach bodyguard he knew.
“For 8 years, even before you debuted as an idol, I fell in love with you on the screen when I was forced by Han Sooyoung to watch that stupid survival show. For many years, I was scared to admit it. That you were the one who saved me during my darkest days. When I was drowning further into that depthless sea of stressful thoughts, the hand that you stretched out every time you reached the song’s bridge yanked me up to take a breath. When I couldn’t go on anymore and wanted to end myself, your smile was like a bright star on the endless sky whose light urged me to pursue you, to find and embrace the you who was all alone among those cold, ruthless clouds, giving me a reason to live. When I lost faith in myself, your reassuring words at the end of each interview and pre-recorded calls available within the special CDs soothed my wounds and chased away my insecurities, helping me to stand up on my own again and move on. Each time I received a new merchandise of yours, I couldn’t help but to adore you more and more. Never have I ever would’ve thought that it was possible to fall in love with you deeper.”
“But when I saw you for the first time in real life on the stage, my love for you sprouted once again.” The bodyguard raised his head, fear and adoration visible in his sable eyes. His pupils were trembling as his eyebrows were scrunched in a parabola, sweat pouring from his hairline and strands of hair sticking to his forehead. “You are my salvation, Kim Dokja. I’m sorry for falling in love with you.”
For the nth time today, the idol was shocked. Even in such an unfortunate state, Yoo Joonghyuk was handsome as he loomed over him, almost convincing Kim Dokja that he had genuine feelings for him. With how majestic the bodyguard looked like, the idol thought to himself–
I truly couldn’t be yours.
However, those sentences that Yoo Joonghyuk let out from his mouth – could Kim Dokja really trust them? After all, he wasn’t worthy of loving. He was the son of a terrifying man, and he knew he wasn’t capable of running away from his family’s traits. It’d be just a matter of time before the greed consumed him, taking over him and pushing him to do things he would regret.
Nevertheless, somewhere in the deepest corner of his heart, he earned affection. He sought Yoo Joonghyuk’s warmth and attention. He desired more than just silent reassurances, mutual glances and light touches that he needed more, more than he himself could imagine. The longer he stared into Yoo Joonghyuk’s raven eyes, the more he felt immersed in them.
He really, really craved Yoo Joonghyuk’s love.
Maybe Kim Dokja could allow himself to be selfish. Just this once.
Salvation slowly shortened the distance between their foreheads, nervousness creeping up on his body. Millions of imaginary red lights were lightning up in his brain, screaming at him to stop.
You can’t possibly trust him, you don’t deserve love! Do you really think you can afford to be selfish now, after revealing your ugly old self? What are you doing? Just what are you doing?!
Fuck off. I refuse to listen to you again.
“If you really love me,” Kim Dokja breathed out, his heart beating inside his chest, demanding to be let free from his ribcage.
Badump!
Badump!
Badump!
Badump!
“Then kiss me, Yoo Joonghyuk.”
Once Kim Dokja finished speaking, the bodyguard didn’t hesitate to crush his lips against the idol’s plump ones. The first thing Kim Dokja noticed was Yoo Joonghyuk’s passion – the kiss was slow and tender, melting away Kim Dokja’s anxiety as calloused hands clasped his waist and held his head to lean further. Yoo Joonghyuk gently tugged on his star’s thick hair, pulling him even closer to feel more of his body heat. Surprised by this action, Kim Dokja was caught off guard when Yoo Joonghyuk suddenly became more heated, forcing himself into his mouth with his strong tongue. He licked and bit Salvation’s sweet lips, prying his way inside.
Kim Dokja soon found out that he liked this rough treatment.
“Ngh~” the idol couldn’t help but to let out a shameful sound. His face burned as Yoo Joonghyuk was devouring him, exploring his mouth and throat, muffling the lewd noises that came out of the shorter man. Kim Dokja unconsciously wrapped his arms around the bodyguard’s neck, deepening their kiss. He desperately needed more. And more. Just a little bit more.
But unfortunately, Kim Dokja was an inexperienced kisser, so he resorted to gently tapping Yoo Joonghyuk’s sturdy chest, signaling the need for a breath when he thought that he was about to suffocate. The bodyguard understood him quickly and parted their lips with a pout.
“First kiss?”
“Yeah.” The idol weakly smiled, heavily panting as he wiped their drool with the back of his hand. “By the way, Joonghyuk-ah, how did you manage to catch that Paul person with Anna Croft?”
Once Kim Dokja’s words reached Yoo Joonghyuk’s ears, he snickered, placing a kiss on his star’s nose.
“That’s a secret.”
.
.
.
Several months have passed since Yoo Joonghyuk and Anna Croft seized the ‘Paul’ guy, putting him behind bars for violating Personal Information Protection Act and secretly selling Salvation’s data on dark web – more specifically on the darknet market – as they were digging up some dirt on that stranger during their ‘date’ in Hayoung’s coffee shop. Upon finding Kim Dokja’s personal information on one of those markets, Yoo Joonghyuk grew furious and may or may not have committed more serious crimes than the harasser himself.
On the brighter side, the bodyguard’s – also nicknamed as ‘The Punisher’ in the cyberspace – and his temporary buddy’s – the most skilled hacker in the entire US, ‘The Prophet’ – illegal actions were excused as an act of ‘defense’ thanks to Yoo Sangah’s skilled tongue and Jung Heewon’s authority among the lawyers. A lot of Yoo Joonghyuk’s scary fans and Kim Dokja’s faithful followers came to a conclusion to soothe the startled idol and mad retired pro gamer, agreeing to never talk about this incident ever again.
As for the said idol...
“J-joonghyuk-ah!” Kim Dokja moaned, trying his best to keep quiet in the cramped closet. “Stop biting me! Yah! Y-you sunfish bastard!! Sooyoungie’s about to call me on stage in any moment!” he tugged on his bodyguard’s messy hair, demanding for attention with his angry and teary eyes.
Yoo Joonghyuk scowled, digging into Kim Dokja’s collarbone once again, happily ignoring his star’s protests. Satisfied with the mark, Yoo Joonghyuk licked it once more and straightened his body to admire his work.
The idol underneath him looked absolutely breathtaking and obscene – covered in saliva and sweat as he squirmed under Yoo Joonghyuk’s intense gaze. Fresh love bites were peeking beneath Kim Dokja’s unbuttoned white shirt and loosened ink tie, military jacket that served as a part of tonight’s costume tossed away to who-knows-where in the process of debauching Salvation.
“You sunfish bastard! H-hey, where is your hand going?!”
Yoo Joonghyuk smirked, planting one last kiss on Kim Dokja’s bare chest before they heard a familiar feminine yell seeking them.
“Joonghyuk-ah! Dokja-yah! Where are you making out again?! Uriel needs to talk to you!!” Han Sooyoung screamed as her footsteps halted in front of the closet where the two men were currently in, restlessly panting and sticking to each other like bubblegum. To confirm her suspicions, she knocked on the door aggressively.
“You two are in there, aren’t you?”
An evil chuckle resonated across the entire building after Yoo Joonghyuk cussed loudly enough for the manager to hear. In panic, Kim Dokja patted his wrinkled clothes and pants while Yoo Joonghyuk ruffled the idol’s hair to tease him. Under Kim Dokja’s sullen glare, Yoo Joonghyuk fetched the forgotten military jacket and helped the shorter man with the buttons.
“Salvation-nim, if you’re going on stage with that look, I’m afraid your manwhore here will have to learn swordsmanship in real life to defend you from all the simps.” Han Sooyoung put on a fake disgusted face as the bodyguard and the idol stumbled out of the small room, limbs tangled and out of breath.
Comparing the duo side by side, Yoo Joonghyuk seemed to be calm and composed, no signs of shameful acts visible on his body. On the other hand, Kim Dokja’s entire appearance was chaotic and dissipated – loosened tie, buttons done incorrectly, hair like a bird’s best, eyes watery, face flushed in multiple shades of red, make-up smuggled and dark teeth imprints engraved on his neck.
“…Can we see Sangah-ssi before we meet Uriel?” Salvation murmured, combing his hair in a fruitless attempt at putting himself together. Coming to the decision that the CEO would probably freak out if she saw Kim Dokja’s current state, the trio set off to trouble the company’s stylist.
“Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi,” Yoo Sangah’s usual smile twitched, voice full of poison and coldness as she stared daggers into the culprit that completely destroyed her work from head to toe. “The next time you and Salvation-nim would like to get…freaky…, then do not commit such stuff right before the performance in full make-up and costume, please. You’re lucky that today’s schedule is delayed.”
“And you,” Yoo Sangah’s murderous aura shifted to the subject, gripping his shoulders in a very ‘friendly’ manner as she navigated him to the most comfortable-looking chair, forcing him to sit down. “I beg you to control that life and death companion of yours. Please remember the person that took care of your manager that saved you from all those ruthless articles and unnecessary rumors that could potentially trample your reputation. I don’t wish to see my girlfriend half-dead ever again.”
“Yes ma’am.” Both Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk bowed to the furious secretary, not daring to speak or move while Yoo Sangah precisely and swiftly fixed Salvation’s appearance. When the stylist finished ironing the idol’s ivory shoulder pads, a tall figure burst in, nudging Yoo Sangah to stand aside before she squeezed Kim Dokja into her armful, intending on showing him as much support as she could.
“Dokja-yah! Are you sure you want to do this?” Uriel’s once twinkling eyes were now radiating concern, face gloomy and tired. “What if you get too much hate? Will you be able to keep living like this?”
“I’ll be fine, Uriel.” He reassured the CEO, rubbing her back in comfort. “Besides, I’ll have Joonghyuk-ah by my side. If anything goes wrong, my loyal bodyguard will protect me. Right?”
The said bodyguard that was standing near the door nodded, opening his mouth to add something. However, he was rudely interrupted by the energetic manager.
“Dokja-yah, it’s your time to shine! Joonghyuk-ah, go back to your position! We gotta hurry up!”
A couple of ‘good luck’s were thrown in Kim Dokja’s way as he was quickly dragged away by Han Sooyoung onto the stage, sending a thumbs up to the sound engineers before she shoved him into the shower of colorful lights and exciting cheers, welcoming the favorable idol amidst thousands of fans.
“Good luck you squid bastard!”
.
.
.
“Thank you! Thank you for the loud applause, my lovely Incarnations!” Kim Dokja shouted into the microphone along with the thrilled audience, rush of adrenaline that was just there slowly withdrew as his lungs demanded for more air. Despite being drenched in sweat and breathing intensely for air, he felt honored and full.
“KYAAA!!”
“I LOVE YOUUU!!”
“SALVATION-NIM! LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!!”
“THIS WAY! PLEASE!”
“YOU LOOK STUNNING, SALVATION-NIM!!!”
Kim Dokja let out a giggle, his hand covering his mouth with flushed cheeks and closed eyes, earning another wave of high pitched noises from both fangirls and fanboys. Sensing a fierce yet familiar stare on him, he whipped his head towards his one and only bodyguard that was guarding beneath the stage. When the bulky man noticed his companion’s longing gaze, his ears flushed in cherry shades as his eyes crinkled, a smile adorning his stoic face.
The idol’s face soon became as red as Yoo Joonghyuk’s carmine tie, turning his head to the screaming fans.
“AAAAA!!”
“SALVATION-NIM! YOU ARE THE BESTEST!!”
“JUST MARRY ME ALREADY!!!”
Kim Dokja clasped his hands around the mic, leaning closer to tenderly voice out the script he had practiced countless times before tonight’s live show.
“Thank you again, my loveliest Incarnations! Today, I would like to make a huge announcement that could change both mine and your lives.” He looked around the concert hall, noting down each reaction of his fan base. Some faces were confused, some of them appeared to be anxious, but most of them were curious. Will he be okay? What if Uriel was right?
The idol sharply breathed in, opening his lips once again. It’s now or never.
“Joonghyuk-ah, mind if you come up?”
The bodyguard’s eyebrows scrunched, sending him worrying expressions. He wanted to back down, but seeing the audience’s cheering and demands, he succumbed and started moving, swiftly going up the stairs leading towards the stage and towards Kim Dokja, his one and only star.
“Joonghyuk-ah, come closer.” Kim Dokja whispered as he himself closed the distance between them. All cameras were now focused on the idol-bodyguard duo, tension ruling over the entire stadium.
However, Salvation's face beamed as he tucked his trembling hands into Yoo Joonghyuk’s pockets, making the fans murmur among each other and widening their eyes. After all, not even a millimeter was separating the two men, looking like they were created for each other, inseparable like ying-yang.
“Allow me to officially introduce my special person to my loveliest Incarnations. Please, I beg you to welcome him warmly and accept our relationship. This,” he pointed his index finger to Yoo Joonghyuk’s handsome face, almost accidentally poking his nostrils, causing the other one to huff out in an annoyed manner. “is the famous retired pro-gamer and gaming coach, the greatest chef, most gentle brother,” Kim Dokja paused to grin into the camera, pecking Yoo Joonghyuk’s cheeks in front of thousands of people as he himself lovingly embraced the taller man’s dusky eyes with his own, face softening just by seeing his protector. His world. And obviously, he’s –
“my fearless bodyguard, my steadfast anchor in this cruel world, my companion through life’s trials and death’s shadows and the very essence of my existence. But above all, he’s my most treasured boyfriend, Yoo Joonghyuk.”
