Back in Azayaka Town, at the Kibouteru house…
“Alrighty,” says Homura. She and the other girls have gathered around the table in Chise’s room. “The gang’s all here! Chise, what’re we gonna do today?”
After thinking, Chise tries to give an idea. “I’ve got it! Let’s… nah, I got nothing!” After having failed, she gives an awkward smile.
Kazemi stands up. “Oh! Maybe we could..eh, no…” She sits back down. “Azuzu, do you have anything?”
“I have nothing either..” says Azuma. “Yukie-san, do you have an idea?”
Yukie shakes her head. “Not really..”
Just then, the Book of Arcus glows. Above it appears a holographic image of Owarin.
“Owarin!!” The group is excited, especially Warun, who runs towards the image. “Big sis~rurun!!”
Owarin laughs. “Nice to see you, Warun~owa!
“How’ve you been~rurun!?”
“Good~owa. You’ve been doing an outstanding job in purifying the Yamishin, making use of your new attacks and Jeweling Mode, and stopping the twins’ plan, I’ve decided to give you a reward~owa!”
After holding an envelope and almost dropping it, she uses her power to teleport it across time and space to Earth. “It should be here soon~owa!”
About thirty seconds later, the envelope, with wings made of light, flies towards Chise’s house, Yukie being the first to notice. “That must be it!”
“The window!” Homura and Chise run towards the window, and the latter opens it.
“Oh yeah—!” The envelop flies right through the window…
BOOM! …and crashes into her face. “Eeeeh—!” She falls to the ground.
“Ahaha, Chise…” says Homura, “ya really gotta be more careful!”
“What do you think could be in this envelope..” Yukie picks the envelope up and opens it.
“Hey, are those tickets?” Kazemi inches closer. “What do they say?”
Chise reads the letter. “Oh my God, we got invited to a magical island!”
“How fun!” Azuma claps. “Should we pack? Will it be like a vacation?”
“Yes! I mean..I think so—?”
“Wow that’s so cool~rurun!!” Warun jumps on her head.
“Actually, I was told to give you those tickets,” says Owarin. “You’ll have to ask the person who invited you~owa! I’ll teleport you there in a sec, make sure you bring your Prism Mirrors and Charms in case you need to fight evil, okay~owa?”
“Of course!” Chise nods, quickly packing her bag - it’s now filled with her Mirror, her Charms, a few scrunchies, and a few makeup items.
“Thank you sis~rurun!!” Warun gets off of Chise’s head.
“No prob, you ready~owa?” Owarin closes her eyes and casts a spell. The Cures and Warun are sent to Tanoshi Island.
Upon seeing the bright, cheerful atmosphere, Chise is excited, her eyes sparkling in delight. “Wow! This place…it looks so sparkly-cool!”
“I know, right?” In a matter of three seconds, Azuma sees some flowers nearby and rushes towards them. “Oh, look at all those flowers, they’re so pretty!!”
The silhouette from before, now revealed, appears in front of them. She has slightly wavy dark brown hair and maroon eyes with red flecks. “Ah, you’re here! Welcome to Tanoshi Island, and it’s so nice to meet you! Who might you be?”
“We’re tourists,” comments Homura. “I…think? My name’s Homura. And these are my friends. Chise..” Chise, though nervous, smiles and waves.
“..Azuma…” Azuma does a double V-sign, as small thunder trickles between her fingers.
“…Kazemi..” Kazemi winks.
“..aaaand Yukie!” Yukie flicks one of her sidepieces.
The girl nods. “Alright, those are easy to remember! I’m Miyabi. And I’ll bet that you were sent here on a mission?”
“Wha..” Homura is shocked. “How did ya know..?! Ehe, ‘cause you’re smart~”
Just then, there’s an extremely strong wind. Miyabi feigns confusion. “…Oh dear, what could be causing that strong wind?” Well, it’s about time, she thinks, you’re late, where were you?!
“What is it~rurun?” Warun hops into Chise’s arms.
A shadowy figure comes in. “Oh no,” Miyabi freaks out. “It’s him!” Oh yeah!
“So bright..so cheerful, so..sickening! Watch this!” He says a magic chant, creating an orb of darkness. As he throws it upward, it explodes in the sky, this turning the land gloomy and colorless. The sky is a very dark gray with Japanese mist clouds, and rather foggy.
“H-Hey, stop! What are you doing…?!” asks Kazemi. “We just got here!!”
“You silly girls! Ya really wanna know why I’m here? It’s ’cos of…”
Miyabi cuts him off. “..‘Cos of the overly cheerful vibes this place has!”
“…Right.” ??? creates five smaller orbs of darkness.
“Those clouds…Could he be from Yakedo Abyss?!” asks Yukie. “Oh my god..no!”
Five spirits made from pure darkness appear, these based on plants/objects in the island.
The only ones that aren’t freaked out are Azuma and Kazemi, who turns and reassures them. “Guys, chill! Let’s transform and take on this freakazoid!”
“Oh! U-Um…” Chise grabs her Prism Mirror and Opal Arcus Charm. “..alright then—!”
Cue transformation. “Pretty Cure, Twilight Chance!”
“The star of miracles, the jewel of hope! Cure Shimmer!”
“The flickering sun, the jewel of friendship! Cure Flare!”
“A shiny bolt to your heart! The jewel of innocence! Cure Dolce!”
“An intense wind, the jewel of courage! Cure Storm!“
“The elegant diamond, the jewel of wisdom! Cure Mist!”
“The five jewels, sparkling together as one!” says Shimmer. “Let’s shine!”
They do their introduction poses, and the background changes. “Twilight Pretty Cure!”
The girls are in a fighting stance. “Alright, girls…Let’s go!” As they take off running, the opening theme starts.
A spirit based on a coconut tree appears. Our pink heroine starts off with a 1-2 punch, her fists glowing vibrant pink. On the other side is Cure Flare. While spinning, she throws two big fireballs at one of the spirits - this one based on a surfboard. That seems to weaken it.
Dolce does a front flip and shoots a small bolt at another’s (hibiscus plant) feet while running away, tripping it up. She looks back and does her signature V-sign, giggling.
Miyabi watches the girls fight, a smirk appearing on her face. “Perfect… Make more~”
??? summons more evil spirits, again based on either plants or objects. Now that she and her friends are surrounded, Shimmer is nervous and looks around. However, this nervous fades once she takes a deep breath, her demeanor becoming calmer and more determined. She looks back at Flare and Dolce, then at Storm and Mist. The girls nod in unison.
They charge, all doing their signature attacks. Flare jumps and spins around, doing Flare Burning, knocking out a crab-based spirit. Next is Dolce, using Dolce V-Leap, shooting at another - a tsunami-based one.
Storm and Mist stand back-to-back, ready to fight. There are two evil spirits: a volcano with legs, and a seashell-based one, all ready as well. Storm jumps upward and throws a blast of wind, sending it to the first and destroying it. The second fires a blast of darkness at her, but Mist uses Mist Reflection and sends it back, destroying it.
Lastly is Shimmer. She grabs her Prism Mirror and prepares her attack - Shimmer Sparkling. The attack hits a lemon wedge-based one with arms and legs, purifying it.
Angered by their actions, Miyabi’s eyes glow a bright red, causing some of the last ones - one based on a seal, one on a koi fish, and the last on a seahorse - to gain bright-colored auras. With full force, they rush towards the girls, who nod in sync, their Tourmaline Charms in hand.
The girls transform into Jeweling Mode and perform Jeweling Blast, purifying the rest of the spirits. Miyabi watches in shock.
Now that all dark spirits have been purified, the girls float down, smiling at their success. Miyabi gets mad but holds it in and smiles, the anger veins still on her head.
After de-transforming, the girls, now in regular mode again, gaze at the bright blue sky, the gentle breeze blowing through their hair and outfits.
??? gets mad. “You brats! You ruined my plan! Welp, now I’ll have to punish you! Ready?” He summons five orbs of darkness from thin air, these flashing rather quickly.
“Yes, do it!” Miyabi thinks. Before they know what’s going on, he throws the orbs at the Cures. “Presto change-o!”
Warun watches in shock as the girls disappear in flashes of light. “Girls~rurun!!”
The girls are sent through portals. “Ehhhh…?!”
Shimmer looks around, freaking out. “What’s going on? Guys?!”
