Summary
After the Smile! Pretty Cures defeated Pierrot, five diamonds in different colors were scattered across Azayaka Town, a town miles from Nanairogaoka. These diamonds were picked up by many different families, and have since evolved into human girls.
Eleven years later, after starting her first day at a school that her friend Homura attends, the socially awkward Kibouteru Chise sees some kids hassling a young dragon named Warun, who’s from a magic kingdom that lives for dreams and wishes, but was taken over by the demon king Akumai, who, along with his three subordinates and two kids, raided it and drained it of its magic and hope. Warun needs Chise's help in saving the kingdom, but… how will she achieve this? She also finds out that she had a past life as Bad End Happy, who wants to make everyone miserable!
Later, after getting a magic mirror and becoming a Pretty Cure named Cure Shimmer, Chise is told to collect several magic crystals called Arcus Charms, as well as find the remaining Cures - spoiler alert: these are people she knows/meets along the way (who were also Bad End Cures). Some might have a little “Bad End” in them left, but she’ll help them see the light!
