Everyone hated Murphy. They would glare at him, shove him, make him work more. And Murphy understood why, he was a terrible person.
But there was 1 person that didn't absolutely hate Murphy, and that was Bellamy.
He never understood why, Murphy literally hung Bellamy (in revenge for Bellamy hanging Murphy but whatever).
When people would glare at Murphy, bellmay would tell them to get back to work, when people would shove Murphy, bellmay would shove them, when people made Murphy work more, Bellamy would get him off work earlier. He was grateful for it of course, he just couldn't figure out why.
Until one day. _________________________________________
It was after a particularly rough shove that landed Murphy in medbay that he finally asked bellmay why.
Murphy groaned as he laid down on the bed, clutching his now bruised side. Bellmay was next to him, watching him with a concerned look in his eye.
Murphy had noticed and he finally got the courage to ask why he cared so much. "Bellmay, why don't you hate me?"
Bellmay was caught off guard. Why didn't he hate Murphy? He didn't actually know why. After Murphy practically saved him at the cliff, he's started to forgive him.
"Hate is overrated" bellmay says casually with a shrug. He didn't know what else to say, he didn't want to just blurt out something he'll regret later.
Murphy rolls his eyes, sitting up again. He was serious about this. "I'm not kidding bell, why do you care?"
Bellmay hesitates, not knowing how to put it without confessing his love for Murphy. "I dunno..you saved me at the cliff, you didn't let go when you could of" He paused and shrugged, looking away. "Guess I started to forgive you"
