Chapter Text
I managed to make it safely to the Dolphin, and thankfully the creature cannot get inside unless I let it.
It hadn't taken that long since my last log for it to wake up and realize I was gone. It clearly knew what I had done as it had immediately sprinted into the area. It just stood there for a long time, not doing anything, only staring at the gate. It looked so...upset? At least, it had before its facade melted away. Literally infact.
Everything just melted away into an iridescent fluid. First a puddle with a small triangular object inside, shifting as small rocks got swept up in its form. Then it took shape, vaguely hocotatian. It was a strange creature to say the least, but that won't stop me from admitting I was fascinated by it. If it wasn't for the circumstances at the time, I likely would've observed it longer to research it.
The noise it had let out was unlike any noise I've ever heard before, and I wish to never hear something like that again. Once it started searching I had known to find an opening to escape. Which came quickly, as the moment the gate appeared to get into its view, it just stopped. What I assume it was doing was staring, but I am unsure.
Regardless, I had taken the opportunity to run back to the Dolphin and I am greatful it hadn't noticed me. I will return to the location once acquiring the rest of the parts to the Dolphin, I hope by then it'd be gone.
Until then, I will need to think of a way to inform Louie's family of his passing gently, which I know certainly won't be easy.
