Chapter Text
The next day when Loid opened the shop he awaited her arrival.
Watching the clock was nothing new but he just kept staring at it.
He tended to the flowers and made them look beautiful.
When he heard the door chime he would immediately turn just to see someone who was a customer.
An elderly woman, a mother, a couple, a young boy, the usual.
He wasnt disappointed with customers, they made the store look believable.
He caught himself looking out the window some of the time but it was nothing much.
An hour before the store was about to close the door chimed again.
Thats when she walked in.
When Yor entered the store and Loid was suprised to say the least.
It was close to closing time yet her she was.
She was a tad disheveled yet still beautiful.
"Hi Mr. Loid, how has your day been?" She said. When she smiled she would smile so bright her cheeks would raise.
Loid smiled back at her.
"Hi Yor! You can just call me Loid, no need for Mr. How has yout day been?" He asked.
"Oh! Okay L-Loid?" She said, unsure, "today was a bit hectic but I pulled through!" She chirped up smiling.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Well I had client after client after client. There was a group of almost 7 people all getting tattoos. One kept complaining how much it hurt and moving. I had to have almost 4 consultations and stuff like that." She ranted.
"Wow thats a lot. Are days usally like that?" Loid asked.
Yor shook her head, "No but they do pay well."
"Is it okay if I go ahead and start sketching?" She asked. Loid couldnt get enough of her sweet voice.
"Of course!" He said in a cheerful tone.
She walked in and promptly went to the flowers.
She opened up a sketch book and pulled out a pencil and began to draw.
Loid pulled up a chair and sat it next to her.
"Oh! Thank you Loid." She said smiling.
She sat down and began to sketch.
She was so peaceful and focused.
Hearing the therapeutic sounds of her pencil against the paper made him want to close his eyes and drift
She would often have close inspection on the flower. He would often watch as her delecate hands traced the stem.
She sketched for an hour or two.
In that time Loid made 3 sales, cleaned, and closed the store. He couldn't just leave her there. It was to risky.
He also couldnt just stay to the back for to long, to suspisous.
He rather just sat at the counter and flipped through some magazines or newspaper.
He would flip through the pages skimming over through the articles.
He would often sneak a glance or two at her when he could. When there eyes would meet she would smile and he would smile back.
He didnt even notice how the time had flew until he saw the clock.
When she stood she picked up her chair and brought it back to the counter.
"Thank you so much for letting me borrow your chair and draw in here in general." She thanked. She noticed how it was dark. "What time does your store close?" She questioned.
Loid smiled and responded, "It closed and hour ago actually."
Yor stepped back like the answer surprised her.
Her face turned a little red. "I- I didnt know. Im so sorry I made you stay late! I can come early next time!"
Loid laughed a bit. "No, no. Its okay! I dont mind staying a little late." As he finished the sentence the realization set in,"wait next time?" He asked.
"I have the concepts down, I need to confirm them with my client before deciding. If its okay can I come back in a few days? I'll make sure its early! Just give me a time!" Yor exclaimed.
"Come whenever you can." Loid said, "I enjoy your company."
He didnt want her to leave.
It was pleasent to have her there. It was a nice breath of fresh air from the run and hussle of work.
They said there good byes and Loid left the shop.
Taking a deep breath to take in the last moment of calmness that this moment would hold.
He took it in and left for a late night mission, this would keep him up all night.
