Chapter Text
He woke up in the middle of the night. He was going to fall asleep again, but the smell of delicious food was calling his name.
He stood up and teleported himself to the food court. He looked around at all of the different options that he could choose from.
After a few minutes, he walked over to the stand that had pizza. He also stole a few cans of root beer. He drank all of them without giving himself a break.
He started running around because of the extra energy he got from the six cans of soda.
"I've never felt so alive!"
He ran through every part of the mall and then returned to his pillow nest. He was so tired that he fell into his pillow nest and went back to sleep.
Next Morning
Shadow left the mall at 5:20 am to go explore the city. He decided to not use his powers out in public because the people here might think he's going to hurt them.
He hid behind light posts and food stands in the streets until he snuck into the buildings. The stores didn't have anyone in there except for the person that worked at the cash register.
It was probably too early for the humans to be out buying things at 5:00 in the morning.
The black hedgehog slowly walked up to the cashier in Hot Topic after he grabbed a few items from the clothing and accessories section.
"それは15ドルになります。" That will be $15.
Shadow: "別の支払い方法はありますか?お金がありません。" Is there another way to pay? I don't have the money.
Cashier: " これは無料であげますが、次回からは欲しいものを買うためにお金を払う方法を見つけなければなりません。" I'll give you this for free, but next time you'll have to find a way to pay to buy what you want.
Shadow: "ありがとう、良い一日を。" Thank you and have a nice day.
He walks out of the store and sees that more people have shown up in the streets.
Shadow puts his new black hoodie on and uses the hood to cover his face so he can blend in with the crowd as much as possible.
