Chapter Text
Of couse did he get the babysitting duty again.
Shouta sighed and ringed the bell of Hawks's temporarily apartment. Just because I am a teacher, it doesn't mean i wanna check up on a twenty-two year old man.
When the door opened the underground hero could see Hawks standing by the door in casual clothes. It looked like he had just taken a shower.
The criminal grinned when he saw who was standing in front of his door. He leaned back against the door and let his grin become a smirk.
"Well hello, Eraseehead-san. Nice of you to drop by." He laughed a little while he said it. The annoying bastard. "Are you my babysitter of the day?"
Since they decided that Hawks couldn't be trusted on his own for long periods, as they had no idea how long this investigation was going to take, the Pro-Heroes had decided that every day Hawks did not have a mission or a meeting, he would be accomponied by a hero for at least a few hours. Or as Hawks (and really al the Pro-heroes except maybe All Might, but really—) liked to put it: babysitting.
Shouta was almost always picked for that job.
("You are good with young people, Aizawa-kun." All Might had exclaimed. Everybody had nodded in agreement, forcing Shouta to agree while admittedly rolling his eyes.)
Shouta just nodded at the other man with a sigh. Hawks grinned and gestured at the rest of the appartment. "Why don't you come inside?"
The Pro-Hero stepped inside and walked straight to the coffee machine. He had already been inside a couple of times. It was a nice place, big enough for one person ro live comfortably. There was one master bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen that overlapped with the living room.
The decor was simple, white walls with a bit of colour in the furniture every now and then.
While Shouta busied himself with making coffee, Hawks returned to seemingly the spot on the couch where he had sat before the teacher arrived. He picked up a book from the table and started to read.
A peaceful silence was the only thing that could be heard for a few minutes. Then the coffee was done and Hawks decided he was done being quiet.
"Eraserhead-san~"
Shouta's shoulders clenched and he sighed in annoyance. He knew that tone. Hizashi had the same on whenever he wanted something.
Hawks put his book down and walked over to him. He had a extremely fake pout on his face that immediatly made Shouta roll his eyes.
"Can we go out and do something? It is very boring here." Shouta frowned.
"This place is designed to keep you occupied. How are you bored?" There was a huge television on the wall where you could play video games with. Kids at that age liked that right?
Hawks did not remove his pout. "I want to do some sightseeing! I've never been to Tokyo you know?" He fluttered with his wings like he was trying to show physically his need to go outside.
I suppose it couldn't hurt. Shouta reasoned. It might be good for the criminal to know his environment.
"Fine."
This was not fine.
Hawks insisted on looking at every thing he stumbled upon against. Everything. God, Shouta knew that Tokyo was a bit different from Fukuoka, but still.
There was not a stone left unturned, not a wall not inspected, he even tried to search the stores, but Shouta managed to get that idea out of his head thankfully.
The man would also ask all kinds of questions like:
"What is the most popular place in town?"
"Where would you get food from frequently?"
"Where would you go for a private or secret meeting? You don't know? Ah, Eraserhead-san~"
Shouta punched him on the back of his head for the last one. Hawks rubbed at that spot with a frown.
Shouta was convinced he was planning something, but he couldn't figure out what.
He also noticed that something else was off avout Hawks. There was something different from this morning, but he couldn't place his finger on it.
Are his wings less... full than before?
