Chapter Text
When did his compliments get me so flustered? Maybe…
Okuyasu's eyes widen.
“Shit, ya okay?! Did I do somethin’ wrong??” He gasps, rushing closer.
No, no no— Don't get any closer—!
God damn it, now he's blushing even more.
Josuke gasps and sits straight, patting down his turtleneck to look at LEAST a bit presentable. Though, his clothes won't hide his velvety cheeks.
He exhales a breath that he didn't even know he was holding in.
Josuke tries to play it off,
“I'm fine—jeez, when did you know how to compliment someone? Made me blush.”
Him sitting straight didn't last long before he slouches again to cower away his racing mind, pointing at his best friend jokingly.
“Blush?” Okuyasu backs away in actual bewilderment.
“I'm just sayin’ what I feel with ya.”
Josuke scoffs. “Well,” he lifts his head, “you got the words to impress.”
Jo's face…!
Out of instinct, Okuysu grabs the sides of Josuke's blooming cheeks. His eyes just staring there,
before leaning in—
Is he gonna—?!
Josuke frantically pushes Okuyasu away.
“Woah, HEY! What are you doing?!” Josuke puckers his lips, red spreading all over.
Okuyasu mutters, “Just… y'know, checking ya out.”
Josuke's face fumes of heat.
“Checking me out? You mean checking my cheeks out?!”
Okuyasu bursts out in laughter, leaning back.
“Not—NOT ya ass, idiot!”
“My face cheeks!” Josuke slaps his FACE cheeks to get it through him.
”You’re the idiot!”
“Shit, my bad.” He giggles.
...
Okuyasu leans in.
“Why ya face so red?”
Josuke slaps Okuyasu's cheeks.
He pouts, “cause… of YOU, buster!”
Okuyasu raises a brow. “How? I just said what I'm feelin’ ‘bout ya, Josuke.”
“Anddd… that's the problem!” He chuckles.
Josuke pouts, leaning in.
“Such words…”
When did we get this close?
They both linger at their lips.
“Ya cheeks ‘N lips so red, Josuke…” Okuyasu mutters.
“Y-Your cheeks are getting red, too…!”
Hahhh—… hah…
Their pants filled the infinite forest, waves of fog floating through the night and
this time feels,
right.
H-His lips… Wait— are we seriously gonna—... But it seems so TEMPTING…
Ba-dum; ba-dum!
A slight pause between them—the campfire inhaling, birds chirping, and the gleam of the stellar night stretching across, causing a quiet, overhead shadow. Their lips twitch before—
Josuke plants a gentle kiss.
crackle, Crackle…
