Chapter Text

Skeppy was nervous.

I mean, of course he was excited to finally meet BadBoyHalo in real life, but…

He was still super nervous.

Look, Skeppy’s the type of guy to meet up with his online friends whenever it’s possible, without much issue.

He’s met online buddies in real life after knowing them for a year or two. It was normal for him.

But as expected, it wasn't normal when it came to Bad.

The man just refused to see him. Every time he asked, he was always met with excuse after excuse.

When this had just started happening, he would find it funny. Then, it became annoying, and after like 2 years of the same bullshit, it was normal for him.

Either Bad was sick, busy or dealing with other issues. Every time.

Skeppy felt rather bummed out once he took the time to realize that he might never see the guy in real life, ever.

Because… he likes being with friends. He might not be the most social guy, but he still enjoys getting to hang out with his buddies in real life from time to time.

And hanging out with Bad without a screen separating them had been one of his dreams since he was like- what? 19?

Now he was 23 and NOTHING had happened.

No meet-up dates, no plans- nothing at all.

Until Bad had a change of heart, and began cooperating with him to finally settle on a date.

February 3rd.

Did Skeppy know what caused Bad to change his mind? Not really.

He was far too excited to ask.

Everything seemed to be going well… until it hadn't.

Because when he opened Twitter and found pictures of Bad standing right next to Quackity, boy was he mad.

You could even say he was jealous, and it wouldn't be a lie.

Ok- yes, he himself had met up with Quackity before Bad but- THAT WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT, OKAY??

He did that because he thought it would make Bad jealous enough to meet up with him afterwards.

Had it worked? No- but he had tried and besides, he was still rather happy to hang out with Quackity for a little bit, since Bad didn't want to.

So, you could say that he… maybe sorta deserved feeling like this.

Feeling his stomach fall to the ground at the pictures and jealousy boiling inside him at the tiniest touches Quackity shared with Bad? Maybe.

Ok- yeah, he definitely deserved to feel like that.

He refused to acknowledge the amount of relief he felt when Bad was finally back in his house, no Quackity in sight.

Because now, it was his turn. To have Bad all to himself.

He got to see some clips from a stream Bad had done with Quackity, and he felt almost a sense of pride at realizing Bad felt the same way.

Wanting to have each other all to themselves.

Each day that passed, he could feel himself growing more excited, and nervous at the same time.

He felt his heart jump every time Bad sent him an update on how close he was getting.

Skeppy felt like he was going to explode.

However, he soon realized that he didn't exactly know where they would meet up.

He didn't want to meet him in an airport or any other public space because… well, he wanted it to feel special and intimate, without the presence of the public weighing down on them.

So, a few days before Bad arrived, he called one of his IRL friends to ask him for a tiny favor.

The call rang a few times before he answered, “Hello? Zak?”

“Hey! Uh- so, I need a favor...”

“Sure, man. What do you need?”

“Okay- well, so, you know how I have my YouTube channel and stuff?”

“Yeah?”

“Well- I’m gonna meet up with an online friend of mine in a few days and I was wondering if you could give him a ride to my place?”

“Uhh, sure? I think I’ll be free. What day exactly?”

“February 3rd. It’s- well, it's important to me so if you can, could you also record it?”

There was a few seconds of silence before his friend spoke up again, “Yeah, I’m free. And sure, just lend me a camera and you got it done.”

“Thanks, dude. I knew I could count on you.”

“No problem. So, who’s this guy again? Hmm… that BadManAngel guy you talk about sometimes?”

Skeppy felt his face warm up at that.

“His IGN is BadBoyHalo, dude. And- yeah, it’s him.”

“Could you give me a description of him just to make sure I don't kidnap a random stranger?” He snickered as he pulled up his Notes app.

“Oh- uh, sure. Um, he has…” Skeppy thought of his best friend, thinking about his features, “He has long blond hair, pale skin, is probably short and has these green eyes…”

He remained quiet for a moment, thinking about the moment he would be locking eyes with Bad’s eyes. He would finally be able to experience his beautiful, colorful eyes in real life.

“...Yeah?”

“Oh- uhm-” Skeppy snapped out of his weird trance.

What the fuck was wrong with him?

“Yeah- and um, I think that’s it.”

“Alright,” his friend replied with a confused, yet knowing tone, “Good to know.”

Skeppy rolled his eyes, “I’ll send you his location once he’s here, okay?”

“Alright, alright. Keep me posted.”

“Will do, thank you.”

Once the call was finished, he continued preparing for the next few days. Slowly but surely, it was finally Friday.

And now, here he was. In his apartment, in his bedroom, not knowing what to wear.

He was going through his wardrobe when he found his HappyDuo hoodie, with the colored sleeves and blue muffin.

Would that hoodie be too weird to wear?

I mean, he saw Bad wearing his during his stream with Quackity… but-

He shook his head.

He didn’t want to be seen as like, obsessed with Bad.

Because he’s obviously not.

He kept digging around his closet when he found a red hoodie that had an embroidered pig with a crown.

A soft, sad smile broke into his face.

Technoblade never dies.

He chose that hoodie, sliding it on with ease and adjusting it around his figure.

With his clothes chosen, he began pacing around the living room, looking outside the massive windows to find the sunset as it grew darker and darker.

A notification popped up on his phone.

skeppyy im here :D

which door is it btw? o_O

Skeppy felt his stomach flip. He paced slightly and took a deep breath before responding.

lsat one to ur rgiht

He waited for a moment, continuing to pace nervously.

That’s when there was a sudden knock on the door.

Skeppy’s heartbeat immediately skyrocketed to ungodly levels at the sound.

Okay, Bad’s right there. He just needs to open the door for him.

He tried to calm himself down with little success. The man quickly looked at himself in a nearby mirror, fixing his hair up a little to make it look better.

Once he deemed it good enough, he slowly inched over to the front door, and after a moment of consideration, he opened it.

“...Um,” Skeppy muttered awkwardly as he slowly let go of Bad’s hand, “So- yeah, my heart’s also beating pretty quickly…”

He placed his hand where his silver, lock necklace stood under his red hoodie.

God- why is he being such a mess right now? It’s just Bad. Just Bad.

Right in front of him.

Bad chuckled slightly, looking at Skeppy with a soft gaze, “Glad to know I wasn't alone.”

There was a moment of silence as both Bad and Skeppy stood there. Happy to be with each other, but… not knowing what else to do.

Skeppy cleared his throat with a fist to his lips, feeling his neck unusually warm, “So- uh, wanna come in?”

“Sure,” Bad replied kindly, so Skeppy moved aside to let him into his apartment.

Bad’s shoulder brushing against his as he passed by felt… nice.

The three of them made it inside and Skeppy closed the door behind them.

“Soo, what do you think?” He tried asking casually, definitely not caring about what Bad thought of his place.

“I like it. The huge windows are pretty cool,” Bad stated in reply, turning to Skeppy.

“Thank you,” Skeppy beamed. A grin overtook his face as he grabbed his phone and pulled up the camera app.

“So, ready to take those meetup pictures?”

Bad gasped, “Oh my goodness- You’re right!”

Skeppy’s friend recorded some more as they took their pictures, finding ways to mess with their fans on Twitter.

Once the ones they liked were published, they turned off their phones for the moment and allowed themselves to hang out for a moment.

“Well, now that that’s settled, wanna go out?” Skeppy asked so casually that he almost didn't realize the implication of the question, “Uh- like, to eat dinner?”

Bad couldn't help but snicker, rolling his eyes with a smile, “Yeah, let’s get something to eat. You got something in mind?”

Skeppy smirked with a teasing tone, “Well, I do know this place that sells pizzas… How about we get-”

“We are NOT getting 72 thin crust pizzas. Got it?” Bad announced suddenly, interrupting before Skeppy could say anything that would mess with him.

His smirk turned into a grin as he held back his laugh, “What? I would NEVER get us so many pizzas! Are you crazy?”

“Am I crazy?- YOU are the one that’s CRAZY for THINKING THAT!”

“I didn't think anything.”

“YES YOU-” Bad took a deep breath, “did. You… annoying muffin.”

Skeppy snickered, “Okay, BadBoy. So, wanna get pizza or not?”

Bad sighed dramatically, “Fine…”

Skeppy could not get himself to stop smiling. He already knew the next few days would be the best of his life.
