Chapter Text
Tobirama puts the last of his kunai down on the table, making sure to get a distracted thumbs up from one of the props people before he walks away.
Everyone knew the fourth war was going to be one of the hardest story arcs to shoot, especially with the insane number of action sequences, but he can't deny that today has been something of a welcome respite.
He had his doubts when Madara suggested Izuna for one of the smaller roles, one of the few which had not yet been cast, wondering if someone so well known as a model would be capable of bringing the required skills to the role, no matter the assurances of professionalism. Those doubts only grew when Izuna roared up to the set in a bright red rented Audi and climbed out with all the lean grace of a panther... before yelling "Hello Uchihas!"
Anija had nearly collapsed with giggles even as every Uchiha on the set promptly surrounded Izuna with backslapping hugs, and even the director had laughed. It hadn't helped when Izuna had immediately set out to flirt with him, much to the vocal amusement of every Uchiha in the cast, and Tobirama has been feeling the undeniable urge to hide ever since.
Today however had been just the two of them and their brothers, filming the flashback, and Izuna had been relentlessly professional.
Oh, he'd been ready to joke and laugh during breaks of course, but once the cameras began rolling... all Tobirama had been able to see was a young man scarred by war and desperate to preserve the lives of his family, and he'd responded in kind. With the way Izuna collapsed in Madara's arms, the heartbreak on the two brothers faces, there won't be any reshooting needed, he's sure of it.
"Hey, Tobirama." It's impossible to see those same impulses in the young man who so casually waves him down, and Tobirama admits to himself that Izuna is a far more skilled actor than he thought. "You up for more kissing?"
"Kissing me on the cheek for publicity stills wasn't enough?" Tobirama returns dryly, hoping whatever Izuna has planned won't delay his return to his trailer too much.
"Well, I'm not asking to kiss you on the cheek." Izuna's words promptly make him refocus, and Tobirama can't help but blush at the sly look that's being directed his way.
"Izuna..." he doesn't know what to say. Flirting has never been his strong suit, despite years of being an actor, especially with how conscious of his reputation he's been forced to be. Despite that though, he still holds out his hand and lets Izuna drop a keycard into it.
"My room, anytime you feel like it." Izuna smiles at him gently, softer and less predatory than before. "No pressure, I'm here for another week with a separate modelling gig, so take your time to decide."
Izuna strides off, waving to Obito as he goes, and Tobirama watches him walk away, fingers closing around the card as if to trap it.
It's very sweet of Izuna to give him time, but Tobirama's always been able to move fast when he wants to.
He already knows what he's going to do.
