Chapter Text
It was a dark and stormy night, and MK was getting ready to go and finish packaging an order to deliver. Even though it was wet and cold and definitely not a good time to go out, MK had to do this so Pigsy won’t yell at him.
The lovers of Pigsy’s noodles had a hunger that MK could fulfill.
His noodle cart looked sad in the pouring rain, it looked a bit more busted which added to its lameness.
Lonesomely, Mk watched the rain pour until he made it to a destination. It was a strange area but not rigid like he was used to; he trod to the front porch of what seemed to be a form of housing and he knocked on the door.
A groggy redhead stormed out fiercely, and caused mk to raise a brow. The Redhead?? Fire head??
“About time! Could you be any slower” he growled.
MK, offended, retorted with retaliation “Do you SEE the weather out here?! Next time, call an uber!” MK was getting ready to leave until Redson INVITED HIM INSIDE?!?
The decor of the house was something MK would never expect from Redson, it reminded him of a grandma’s house.
“Do you…really live here?” MK asked dumbfounded.
Redson rolling his eyes, “Yeah?? Why else would I be here?”
MK just thought this was one of his vacation houses. Interested, he decided to wander around looking at the walls and furniture in the common room.
“I only let you in because of the weather, I am not giving you a tour of my house.” Redson deadpanned plainly.
“Oh, that’s alright I'll just snoop around then!” MK glanced at Redson with a cheeky grin. Right after he said that he quickly walked right through a random door.
It was a room full of shiny things, the glimmering of what mk assumed could've been pricey decor blinded mk from time to time. He wandered around consumed by curiosity.
Redson peaked through the door “You’re stealing my stuff and I don't even get my food??”
MK quickly perked up, concerned of what it looked like to see someone in your house holding your things, but at the same time he really didn't care and placed it back down.
“Oh right!” MK quickly retrieved what he came here for but when he returned Redson WAS GONE?!?!?
MK looked around puzzled, why was Redson acting sus. They were sort of friends, just with a lot of banter. Which was all friendly in MK’s eyes!
Redson was always so confused as to why fate always made them meet again, his hatred for MK could only grow.
“HEYYY REDSOOOONNN!!! WHERE ARE YOUUUU???” a loud yell came from MK, exerting a lot of his energy.
Shuffling can be heard from the right making him instantly turn his head. A door slightly hidden from the shadows was made apparent, swiftly he walked towards it with strained confidence.
Once it opened MK was greeted with a gorgeous kitchen and a Red boy sitting at the island scrolling on his phone.
MK took a second to just stare at Redson, his hair sure looked pretty today. A mental note was made to compliment him at some point.
Huffing, he strode in and took a seat right next to Redson. Which promptly made him jump, startled by how quick MK found him.
“How did you even find the door to the kitchen, I was sure you’d be distracted by all the things I have.” Redson stated firmly, but MK realized quickly that he wasn’t yelling at him like he always did.
This time it felt more like a nicer and ‘I don’t mind your company’ tone. He might’ve been reaching but he swears that Redson is starting to like him!
“I’m just a pro snooper, plus I found you using your scent.” A funny lie was made to lighten the mood, Redson took the bait and looked at MK with a slight grin.
This small action made MKs face act as if a mirror, he smiled back to Redson.
MK carefully placed Redsons soon to be meal at the counter he was at, he cringed at the temperature of the food beginning to dwindle. He wasn’t sure how long he was meant to stay.
“I should charge you extra for hand delivering this to your penthouse kitchen…” MK said smugly with his hand on his hips and gesturing for Redson to pass him money in a joking fashion.
This received a side glance from Redson with a shortly followed “This isn’t even my penthouse bro! But you won't because, I'll remind you, it's pouring rain outside!” He eyed him up and down examining MK’s sassy display.
Redson placed his doomscroller phone down and began to eat.
MK took a moment to look around the room once more. Unsure of what to do he taps his feet together impatiently before a loud noise roared from his stomach, embarrassingly, he might add.
He was still cold, drenched from the rain, and now he was awkwardly revealed to be just as equally as hungry after a long day. He was starting to wish he was in the company of his other friends, or in a warm blanket with a warm meal.
But here he sat in a random house with someone who wasn't ‘not’ his friend… but still someone who he wasn't sure would offer him the things he was beginning to yearn for.
Then Redson grabs a gun from his back pocket, unsure of MK’s next move, he was hesitant. His finger grazes the trigger of the gun which sat behind his back, MK completely unaware of the events about to unfold.
“What you got there, Redson?-” In the blink of an eye he was met with a gun in the middle of his forehead. He was shell shocked.
“Bye, Bye , MK…” a menacing laugh drew out after that sentence, one that MK will never forget, even in the afterlife. Curiosity had in fact killed the cat.
